We could use more liquidity on our books

What would you suggest?

Do I have to repeat myself?  To have liquidity you've got to have market makers; to have an order book at all, you need market makers.
You can't have too many market makers, and if you've got more takers than makers, the market's going to disappear altogether.
Seems to me the makers are a bit more important than the takers.
Makers are, most emphatically, not parasites or getting some kind of free ride.
In fact, market risk rides on market makers' shoulders.
Makerz gonna make;
Takerz gonna take.

FreeBitcoins.com has launched an additional XMR platform
If you want liquidity, you need to set lower fees for makers than for takers.  Exchange FAQ says all fees 0.2%

What would you suggest?

I'm kind of a taker myself.  It makes me feel bad when a maker is rewarded... takers drive profits (or losses) regardless of maker liquidity and isn't that the point of the game in Crypto?  Then you dump huge loads OTC!  Tongue

(It should be noted that "Swap" charges 1% on top of that .2% XChange charges.  Our prices do change as we continue to gain confidence in our product.  XChange for example started out at .5% and is now .2%.)

FreeBitcoins.com has launched an additional XMR platform that allows for users to easily buy or sell XMR without creating an account on our exchange.

FreeBitcoins.com/swap

For people who don't want to be involved with Javascript or whatever, our API for Swap can be found here:  https://freebitcoins.com/swap/api.html

Our deposits count correctly and the withdraws are near-instant.  We could use more liquidity on our books though, as the liquidity grows... everything else will follow.  We would rather work for liquidity than fake it!

I hope a few of you try it out and find it useful.  We also have an affiliate program that pays 50% of our fees for Swap and Xchange with just a single simple link!

Thank you!

Me too if being totally honest.

Risto helped to solidify my decision to invest here.

And he wasn't wrong, a great coin.

All the other shit since then when he robbed loads of BTCTalk people of millions is why I cant pallet him now.

I was still a full fanboy until then.

Honestly I feel very lucky I found the Risto shit game too difficult to understand. Or I would also be one of the lost thousands stories.

How he has the gaul to reappear here I have no idea.

The robbing loser fuck must have no shame at all.

In itself a shame.

Actually Risto was the reason i bought into Monero and i was quite happy to read his mathemathical theories and his calculations. I think his personal story is a bit shitty but his eyes on crypto is or was very informative for me and i think he was also part of the success of Monero. His "game" was intereseting (never bought into it or played it), that's why people went there, but everybody get's hacked sometimes  Cheesy

Yep, just like this, people defending him even when it was obvious he was a manipulator just because he gave them good advice once. He was always Euro trash as far as I could see. I guess thats because I've seen quite a few of his ilk in my time, people that think they are better than others just because they got lucky. Its that mentality of the noble class faggots got born rich and feel they deserve more than everyone else.

I am not defending him, i am just saying, that i am into Monero because of him, the rest is done by myself  Grin

Risto didn't get me into xmr at first... it was AmericanPegasus who spear headed my interest. RIP... hopefully katie will come online again though if she gets re-interested and rejoin the convo.

I thought I saw a post about her back on reddit somewhere.

I never did understand why she left here.

For the payout it was not worth the stress, I was concerned I was going to see a spike and not get my Preciouses back!

I am not cut out for trading anymore and guess I have to just stick with holding.

It could have been worse. You could have been trading for some other coin and then you only had eth instead of xmr. But what a crazy deal just to go for that kind of sats:P

I have not sold anything,,, not holding so much and a bit sick that I did not manage to accumulate even more. I lost (literally) a huge sum of money some time back and was forced to borrow, so paying back all that instead of accumulating hurt me bad during the past periods.

Don't trade man.Smiley

Yeah, good advice. I bought a shitcoin 2 years ago to dump and got stuck with it and have not bought one since. The only thing I ever did with ETH is short it and if it wasn't for the huge maintenance I had setup I would have lost out on those shorts.

You know... it will be interesting to see if/when Tari gets through it's alpha/beta phases, if something like Risto's game will be able to go online in a more "decentralized" and "trustless" manner.  I tried playing that game initially when I got into xmr, but I just really never was into those sorts of games.  I'm sure someone like Smooth or any others old school players will take on that sort of project.

As for trading, I think everyone has their own version of "woulda shoulda couldas" that lost them a lot of money.  I think the more you are convinced of the soundness of Monero in general as being the best crypto, the more comfort you might get in just buying 1 xmr when you have an extra $60 or whatever.  Steadily stack them piconeroj. Smiley

Today I am just starting to study daily trading, as well as how to correctly make a technical analysis. In addition, on all the resources that I visit, they respond very positively about Altcoin Monero , because this coin has very high volatility, which gives unlimited opportunities for earning using various trading strategies.  According to research data, Monero’s growth potential is still not exhausted, and therefore it is obvious that even with the use of the simplest trading strategies on Forex, you can earn very well and most importantly do not provoke frequent triggering of stop orders.  I now try to work only on trading simulators, but meanwhile, when choosing coins for real daily trading, Monero will be one of the first.

I went from 1400 Monero to 700 Monero like that.

I listened to Risto, did a trade thought better of it, cancelled it and went to bed.

Next day it was big up. I was like phew glad I cancelled that.

Looked on Pollo. FS it went through not cancelled.

Bough back in desperately at a huge loss.

Sad face   Sad

Since then back to terrified to trade again. I am at 800 now from 1 brave move. No appetite for the risk.

Man sorry to hear that, I repeatedly warned people for years not to listen to him but he had his little bunch of faggots yelling everyone down anyone calling him out and I got sick of continually pointing out that he was manipulating people when no-one even acknowledged I was correct.

I think they were all afraid to call that scammer out because he had their Romeros hostage in his scam. They wanted me to be the friar in that thing and I told them I would join as soon as they got all the in game coins on a immutable chain. Yeah no big surprise the scammer would never do that. Wink

BTW, that was when he was saying it was going to tank to .0085 in a week from .015 right?

Or was it .00085 from 0.0015?

Shit I can't quite remember that time he tried to fud (shake the tree) us.

BTW/BTW: Love the "Never go full Mindrust" tagline, I didn't notice that before. Lol

Actually not his fault this time.

He called a form of barting at the time.

I wanted to join it, but my first go was it left and never came back.

The same lesson every BTC person wants to make you know.

The fail was all on me.

Bonus lesson: don't drunk trade

LOL, yeah that is what I thought was going to cost me the other day when I was waiting for the price to drop back into my buyback zone. nothing worse than not getting back in after years of holding because you took a chance to increase your position. Cheesy
