Nor does it mention the blinding speed at which the block size issue was dealt with. Wink

The market will be the final judge on how effectively the block size issue in Bitcoin was dealt with. The current trend in ETH/XBT indicates the market is not particularly pleased with how this issue was dealt with.

I see nxtblg posting three in a row.  My forum ad blocker prevents me from seeing his sig - is he getting paid for something?  Is his patron getting value?

Way to make me post one more time. It's a WAVES sig. As for why I posted three times in a row, I'm a chatty feller sometimes.

Shhh, don't tell him what it is. Either he wants to see sigs or he doesn't.  Grin

Just clearin' it up. Smiley

It's actually the truth. To qualify for my piece of the bounty, I had to only post 50 times from my sign-up date for the campaign. That's all: everyone who meets that quota qualifies; there's no bonus stakes for posting more than fifty.

Yesterday, I was startled to discover that I'd made more than five hundred posts since then. Even though I've had zero economic incentive to be so prolific. Evidently, I need a life.

You need a financial advisor, too.  500 free posts for your erstwhile patron, where you could have sold yourself to someone else and made more money.

So this chart looks beautiful to me for two reasons,
1) Price dipped into the honeypot support and bounced hard.
2)XMR bounced on the support line that correlates to XMR gaining value organically which makes my worries about the previous bubble go away, mostly.

Like I saw americanpegasus say a few post back, I think this trend line is going to be the middle ground for the crazy swings we will see in the next few months.

It seems we need to get fluffypony a job at coinbase, or at least to deliver a seminar to them in SF, and then it will only be a matter of time until monero gets added alongside LTC and ETH  Tongue

well that was a nice little afternoon rise... I was starting to get worried sad that this coin was going to do the same as it did last time this year. Tongue

As silly as it seems now, I am hypothesizing a rise to $5 over the coming months, followed by a crash/consolidation to $2.50.  Just don't expect it to happen in a straight line.  It's gonna be a crazy roller coaster along the way.

Hey, AP. Did you feed out some of your Siacoin to the hungry moonies? 'Gratz on that one. Smiley

"Features From the Most Popular Altcoins Are Planned for Bitcoin" - Monero mentioned

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/features-from-the-most-popular-altcoins-are-planned-for-bitcoin-1463675591

Of course the article does not mention the adaptive blocksize limit in Monero nor does it mention the tail emissions in Monero and Dogecoin. Both adaptive blocksize limits and a tail emission are needed to implement the only known solution to the Bitcoin blocksize issue.

Nor does it mention the blinding speed at which the block size issue was dealt with. Wink

Not really. It is quite obvious that Ethereum is not going away anytime soon, whether one likes it or not. And more importantly we now have another big market influencing altcoins globally. Previously there was only bitcoin.

And Monero might well benefit from the trickle-down effect. When gold swings back upwards, the big producers climb up first. (In some cases, before gold itself gets motoring.) The smallies and the explorers take longer to wake up.

A record 5th red week in the row. That's impressive, even by Monero's dumping standards.

I think it's buy time.

38.2% of the whole drop is around .0027. If that breaks, watch for the .0032-.0036 zone.

ETH over the roof+ BTC taking a bath. It seems monero could do a violent momevent in any moment, and Im thinking 25k zone...

We are due for a technical correction upwards in any case.  It seems like the perfect storm - let's see how the weekend plays out.

Constant dumpage is going on (and not only on XMR). Probably from people looking to get on ETH train

You surprised? Eth was pronounced dead by many, many times over last few months. And here we are, at nearly $14 again.

Yeah: it went up above where I thought it would top. Go figure...

I am fantasizing about breaking upwards from this .001-.004 trading range, but I'd be happy with .006. I consider .01 to be very hard to achieve, doable only if bitcoin rallies past the ATH.

I think that current rise of all alts is again attributed to ETH. People start to see that there is more to cryptocurrencies than only bitcoin.
