He made a cartoon drawing with an arrow pointing to the closure of Silk Road and claims Bitcoin is about to crash to $300....yes $300 with 50 days to halving...like anyone believes that.

If you do not want to make enemies, you better get American Pegasus and his complete bullshit posts out of the Bitcoin speculation section.  He's drawing up cartoon charts pointing to Silk Road closure and claiming that's about to happen to Bitcoin now.  Seriously, even the paid anti-BTC shills make posts more based on reality than this:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/there-is-an-epic-shakeout-coming-this-year-before-the-giga-spike-1475082

Um, we haven't even seen or heard from AP in months here I don't think. How you think we have any say of what or where he posts is beyond me.

EDIT: My mistake, he posted one pic here a few days ago, but before that it has been over a month. I have no idea what he's been busy with.

Forget all the overhyped DAO/ETH/LISK/MAID/WAVES "platform-as-yet-another-platform" types and their overheated markets.

The most exciting development in crypto is going on right under our noses, although very few people have the skillz to appreciate it.

Edit: There is a signal among the noise

To provide a bit of background, shen and moneromooo (and I think hyc) have been collaborating on getting shen's ringct cryptography library merged with the Monero wallet and daemon. It's something warptangent was preparing to work on previously, so there had to be a bit of a transition. That has now started to bear fruit in the form of commits.

...but with the Blockchain...and decentralized expense reports.

Yes, you are right there is a lot of noise that is best ignored.

That's true of short term price swings too (unless you are or are trying to be a highly-skilled trader competing with other traders).

Not "the Blockchain."  Just "blockchain" because using the term as a mass noun make you sound cool.  Like mentioning map|reduce 10 years ago...

But, but, muh decentralized micro tipping!!1!

Some large players that sold higher up and dumped on the 'noobs' are now trying to trick the noobs into selling them back their monero at lower prices by making up rumors of vulnerabilities and flaws.

This has happened before multiple times in Monero's history.
Usually its just a pure bluff/FUD/scare tactic.

Occasionally an actual flaw is found.  When actual flaws have been discovered in Monero, they have been fixed, as in the case of the one 4-5 months ago.

Hodl your Monero.  Buy low and sell part at high prices.  The current price is clearly closer to 'low' than 'high', (you can tell based on the historical chart where low 100k sats is low and 400k sats is high), so that should tell you what you should be doing.   Never sell all your monero when it goes up, of course, because if Monero eventually succeeds and gains adoption, it will eventually have a sustained rise to higher prices and wont fall back to current levels.

I think that is one of the finest representations of cryptocurrency development, ever.

I also speculate bananas... and a whole helluva lot of them. Somethings gotta be brewing with this new FUD campaign - this shit is off the charts. Well, I guess school is out for summer... so, idle hands and all that.

RE: "FUD campaign"

It is a very obvious FUD campaign at that.  Serious problems usually emerge organically and often come from a place of concern or confusion rather than judgment - unlike what's happening here.  Future buyers/funders of FUD campaigns might ought to consider putting non-obviousness/discreteness/patience on their due diligence checklist when shopping around for fud-campaign staff next time.

EDITED - readability.

Troll activity possibly at an all-time high. Is that a buy signal? Sell signal? Smoke signal? Traffic signal?

Thinking exactly the same. Seing that and the recent price surges in other random cryptos(XIANGDAO??, STEEM??), it smells to me like a big green dildo being cooked
