21 million. I want them all.

If bitcoin continues its bullrun and reaches $1000, and Monero continues its flat trend around $0.50:

$0.50 / $1000 = 0.0005

That would be the absolute bottom.

My upward target is somewhere above .005. Possibly way above.

In other words, I'm seeing at least a 10x return in terms of BTC while BTC itself goes up 5x-10x.

No guts. No glory.

I love gambling how is MoneroDice work? looking at it from the post above me ^.

Also how many developers working into this coin? any awesome inventions?

monerdice is nice... i play there regularly (but only very small amounts)
same minor glitches though with auto-betting and i dont like the ui that much..

its run by fluffypony so you can trust it
Where can I read about the release info? who are these 7 developers? and can someone explain to me more about MoneroDice please

monerodice is a dice site that accepts monero. I don't know what else there is to explain. Here's a podcast about it:

https://getmonero.org/2015/09/14/monero-missive-for-the-week-of-2015-09-14.html

Monero is pure open source software and development, hence, all development can be seen on the development hub

https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero/commits/master

fluffypony is the current core maintainer, as he executes all of the pull requests into the main repository that the software is compiled from, similar to bitcoins laanwj, as seen here: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/commits/master

The developers can be seen by looking for things that aren't the executing of a pull request - so on that monero github page linked above, you can see a request by moneromooo, a PR by warptangent, a request by luigiii, a request by hyc, etc. As you click farther and farther into history, you see more developers.

Who are they? I dunno. they are people that like to develop good software.

Thank you, i'll look into it.

Hello, I have seen a good XMR pump on coinmarketcap is there any new development happening here?

Don't post much here sorry  Smiley

Development is constant.

Off the top of my head, at least 7 developers have put in code over the past 3-4 months.

The reason the price may be going up is the imminent release of version 0.9, which will be the first release in over a year for Monero. The new update includes a lot of work, but mainly the movement of the blockchain to a database format and the code to hardfork in order to implement protocol changes that ensure that Monero will be *the* opaque blockchain, providing the best functioning here-and-now fungibility and privacy in cryptocurrency.

Mega-botnet got disconnected, herders trying to pump before the mega-dump Smiley Ride it but beware..

Wouldn't it be positive if a botnet got disconnected? I mean, assuming the botnet just dumps all the XMR and the "normal" miners hodl a bit more it might result in less selling pressure.

They've switched to other monetization methods, XMR price is so low mining is just not worth it.. They'll be back when price goes up again..

according to the profitability calculators on the standard pool website software, the 2 mh would produce 2768.04 XMR/day.

It will be interesting to watch if one of the sell bots on polo disappears.

"price so low mining is just not worth it"... he writes after monero has stayed at 50 cents for over 6 hours, after climbing from 38 cents a couple of weeks ago. I know nothing of botnets, so I'm really curious what else can provide $1300 a day in pure profit... which comes to $39k a MONTH! If you can maintain the market. Even at 30 cents, which is quite a low for Monero, we're talking 814$ USD a day, ~24k / month.

(2,000,000 h/s) / (250 h/s - 750 ti) = 8000 750 ti cards * 30 watts per card = 240,000 watts = $576 / day at 10 cents / kwh, $17,280 per month.

so at 576$ per day, 2681 xmr / day, xmr has a "true" cost of 21 cents.

i'd be interested in following nethash behavior coupled to antivirus update rollouts.

Or possibly, the big green candles...  Roll Eyes

There may be a high degree of correlation between the two.

Good morning Smiley  Sorry if it wasn't clear but for a while now the answer to, when will 0.9 be released?, has been "soon".

Looks like we had some buying last night, at least in my time zone.

What do we want?----------- 0.9!
When do we want it?--------"soon"!

Not really all time low but it is a low for quite a while. Good time to mine.

All time low my friend, it was this low 2-3 months after launch almost 2 years ago..

And before that?

...

ANC is risky but potencial for grow is 100x bigger...

Your posts are nothing more than shilling a shitcoin in another coins thread.

ROFL! What a liberty! Pumping another coin in a Monero thread - such audaciousness, much blatent.  Cheesy

I'm not going to speculate on the future of Ethereum ring signatures here. Monero already has a working system today - I think it will become more popular once we have more web services using it.
I'm still holding a decent amount (couple tens of thousands) but the first pump that comes along - I'm out.

Well, here's your chance I guess... time to put your money where your mouth is and start dumping... I'll happily buy some more if you drive price down...

best regards

There may be a high degree of correlation between the two.

Or it may just be a rational hedging rotation by people protecting BTC gains.

Or maybe someone took a bullet in Hangzhou stadium for using BTC.

Lots of good possible reasons.
