Monero was really good at the start but after pirate sites for movies and all other things implementing mining on visitors computers i lose faith on monero.

I think monero will recover if they find a solution on this issue.

On the other hand monero is really good at privacy and i really love to use monero on special things.

LOL, why would you lose faith in Monero if people wanted to exploit other people?
One of the Monero focuses is to have as much small miners as possible because this contributes to decentralization, so this web mining is welcome. Of course people should be aware of it... I would prefer to give some hashrate to a site instead of looking at annoying ads.

botnets and exploits are great but who gets the profits? :\ i want hookers and blow like XMR devs have!

Hy guys,

RSI is on the floor around 20 so i would suggest that end of August until mid of September we reach RSI 80 or slightly above which means a price increase of 5 to 6 times of the bottom.
If we say RSI 20 at 0,0128 then we will land somewhere between 0,064 to 0,0768 at RSI 80

If you are a noholder of Monero until know, this would be a very good point for getting in  Grin Wink Smiley

LOL glad you are optimistic.  But we had some nice growth in last 3 days.  Time for a $100 Monero party again Tongue

That seems to be the start of it  Roll Eyes

Quit the hype guys...  It's better to keep it real in this thread.  And I wouldn't mind if XMR stays under 100 USD for longer time than the rest of the alts.  I wish I could dump my TRX at the next pump with profit and get me some more Romeros.

Eth is proving time and a gain what a hyped POS coin it has always been and when the miners leave the price will just continue down the shitter as the Scam ICO's get shut down. So it should naturally turn people attention to solid projects such as this one.

I agree ETH looks overhyped. I invite everybody to look at http://bpeindex.com/ to understand how XMR is cheap at the moment...

No doubt Casper will attract GPU miners to Monero. But what do you think about the afflux of miners on the price of XMR (not ETH)? For example:

  • scenario1 = miners need to pay for their electricity bills in fiat, so they sell their mined XMR, which is driving the price down (miners sell, but don't buy)
  • scenario2 = miners need to pay for their electricity bills in fiat, but they sell their mined XMR at least at cost price which is ~143USD with current difficulty (~51,725,000,000) & $0.10 per KW/H & 1% pool fee. I know $0.10 per KW/H might sound high but I am including the whole cost. Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLivTR3KBxs if you don't understand the global cost of mining for big farms
  • scenario3 = ?

I'd like to read various opinions of this community on this subject

BPEIndex is excellent ! Thanks for the link

Country Nr. of ATM (Nr. of both way ATM)

Spain    17            (8 )
Czech    15            (2)
USA      15            (5)
Slovakia  6            (2)
Russia     5            (2)

Chile       1            (1)

Number of Monero ATMs went from 71 to 80 in last 40 days.  Not sure why are 2 less in Spain, I probably made a mistake back then.  New countries are Australia and Slovenia.

USA      17
Spain    15
Czech    15
Slovakia  7
Russia     7
Austria    6
Canada    4
Australia 3
Ukraine   2
Slovenia 1
Italy        1
Mexico     1
Chile       1

That's a big jump. Thanks for the information.

Quoting Vitalik Buterin from https://www.forbes.com/sites/rachelwolfson/2018/08/15/vitalik-buterin-on-the-state-of-ethereum-the-future-of-blockchain-and-google-trying-to-hire-him/ : "The Casper protocol is getting much closer to being finalized at this point. It’s just pending review on academic analysis"

For those who are not aware, Casper will introduce Proof of Stake instead of Proof of Work for ETH. So many GPU miners (especially on AMD chips) will naturally shift to XMR being the next most profitable coin to mine.

So my question is simple: what effect do you think will Casper have on the price of Monero?

Eth is proving time and a gain what a hyped POS coin it has always been and when the miners leave the price will just continue down the shitter as the Scam ICO's get shut down. So it should naturally turn people attention to solid projects such as this one.

I think this will become more and more common. Many Bitcoiner's seem to be pro-Monero in private, but shy away from public endorsement.

As it stands it seems intellectually dishonest to say that Bitcoin will be the end all for crypto. Glad to see Roger leading the way.

Yeah, there are too many koolaid drinkers that will Dog pile you if you even suggest Bitcoin is not the perfect piece of software that can never in the future of all mankind be improved upon.

I like this coin. It seems to me that this coin has a great future, because most people are interested in anonymous coins and want to keep anonymity on the Internet.

Monero is a very strong coin, but the General situation of the market does not fully understand the potential of this project. We wait and hope for the best.

Many of my friends understands the potential of Monero. They are starting to buy it gradually.

Looks like .015 is going to be a technical AND psychological resistance.

I think all of crypto is waiting to see once again if we have found the third bottom.
