Monero is the king of privacy, monero transaction counts have been on the rise. I see a future with CBDC where every transaction gets monitored. Privacy doesn't matter until it does. Optional privacy is not enough. So my speculation about this coin is pretty high, i think the price can increasing drastically in the end of this quarter maybe it can reach new ath $550++.

Yep pretty much. BTC and XMR are pretty close in terms of price movement anyway like all other coins so assuming bitcoin hits ath xmr will as well. EOY probably if not EOM. BTW do any of you know of any other Monero dedicated forums similar to this site I can join?  Huh Huh

Whatever you guys do, don’t check the price of XMR denominated in BTC.  Cheesy

Anyway...  What ever happened to Fluffy’s new side chain project he founded with a couple of other guys?  Tari?  With how fast everything moves in crypto, they could be too late by the time they release.

Strange advice.  Bitcoin is THE crypto unit of account.  Even if at least as many things are priced on markets in Monero.  Monero's value in BTC is part of it's ultimate value.  But uion that arena as well XMR tends to do slightly better than man other alts.

So, a nice altcoin slaughtering bull in Bitcoin.

And I am starting to get used to the pattern where we see 5%-20% drops in the major alts during these but little monero finds a floor basically.

I expect it to likely drop more against Bitcoin if this trend continues, but there is a constant demand for monero, and it has actually become a unit of account arguably as much or more than Bitcoin.  I would say more for sure, but El Salvador is making that false.  Still Monero has carved out a are in which it is being used to price many goods...  And I think that dampens the pullback on days like this...

Oh, and screw Doge, lol... seriously.  Still a clown world, mostly.

Alibaba bans Bitcoin miners. Monero not affected since Alibaba or anyone else will never ban Monero miners. It is funny how history slowly place everything to its right spot.

^  Yup and maxis love to talk about censorship resistance.  Lmao.  Some aspects in their infra are being censored right now as we speak.  But you know it’s really sad.  BTC could’ve been a lot greater than it is.

Thinking about this again...  Would you guys think all the transaction spikes have a connection with what’s going on in China?

No. It is just someone try to test some theories to simonized Moreno transactions. https://mitchellpkt.medium.com/fingerprinting-a-flood-forensic-statistical-analysis-of-the-mid-2021-monero-transaction-volume-a19cbf41ce60#683e   365k such transactions was made in less than a month. Way to little to have any success.

Some observations:

-Transaction volume is spiking.
-The last time we saw a spike like this was between the 18th and the 23rd of July

-Price (in BTC) and trading volume around that time was not significantly changing
-Price in USD was dropping into this rise in volume because Bitcoin was also dropping

-BTC price is acting somewhat similarly now.
-This activity in July occurred at a local BTC bottom.

I am not rally drawing any conclusions about this. And we have yet to see if the spike continues or is an anomaly.

But it is all interesting.

Thinking about this again...  Would you guys think all the transaction spikes have a connection with what’s going on in China?  There’s prolly lots of financial fraud going on over there waiting to be exposed.  And those people know BTC ain’t the coin to use if they have lots of stuff to hide.  Lolol.  Cheesy  ‘How you guys liking XMR now?’.

^  I don’t think the transaction volume has much to do with XMR’s price movement.  It mostly just follows BTC.  Every altcoin does.  So the best indicator is knowing what BTC is gonna do next.  But one thing I hate about it is I start anticipating what it’s gonna do instead of just setting my stops, leaving the trade and go with the flow.

Edit:  Fluffy’s out.

Just wondering if anybody knows what percentage XMR is at in DNM transactions.  Is it gaining against BTC?  I think the overall majority of maxis’ support for rejecting the DNM’s is a terrible mistake.  Actual usage as a currency could cushion XMR from huge sell downs during bear markets...  Which could be coming soon.

OK.. also...

This is just weird.

Not only are the weekly cycles becoming super obvious.  But they seem to be coming in groupings of 6 or 7 weeks each.

Anybody hazard a guess as to why that might be?

weak tx data recently seems stronger today?

Good eye.  And bucking both of the above trends I am calling out.  For months Sat and Sun are the lowest volume days...  wonder what's happening today?
