Right now, I read this thread as well as some comments about XMR, it's interesting to know how are people thinking when XMR is not so successful. I will be read it very carefully, use some information to find next successful coins.

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it

I still believe in monero as one of the best coins to be used, not only to be speculated. But the fees could start to be seen as a problem. And we see that there are many coins that are trying to take the crown from Monero as the coin for people that want and need privacy. Hope we see some solutions to that fund that will pay some devs. I have taken some profits from the ZClassic pump and from Dash and put on Monero.

I had a Dashtard MN owner contact me trying to get me to help him hide his coins in XMR.
LOL I told him I needed all his KYC info. Cheesy

I just made two xmr deposits to Kraken, but after 30 confirmations they are not visible there. Have you experienced this kind of delay? How long will it take? The xmr deposit address is definitely valid.

Usually xmr has been visible after 15 confirmations.

Hello! Never had such problems, always brought everything through the monero and very quickly pass the transaction, most likely the problem with Kraken. Contact technical support.

It seems to me that it's too early to contact technical support. Maybe you need to wait. I also transferred these coins and I had to wait a few hours while they were credited to my deposit.

Its a double edge sword that we keep track so well against BTC.

I think its cos most people cant adjust well to changing prices of the underlying BTC and kind of baselined on their entry point.

Is this the bottom before next rally? BTCwise?

Bitcoin takes another beathing thus monero goes down with it ... it still hurts to see this. hopefully some of u guys are right about
reaching 777 usd in Q1 2018 Smiley. i suppose hardware wallet should do this?

Monero is at risk of being partially replaced for quite a few privacy coins out there. The development needs to be fast, even if today it seems healthy.

Unless they can show you the code, it's vaporware and hype. This has been going on for as long as noobs haven't bothered to check to see if claims are valid--which has gone on since onecoin, maybe even before.

Now that Ripple overtook Ethereum, what do you guys and gals think that means for the whole crypto space? Do you think we shall see Ripple at no.1 at some point? I want to hear your speculations.

Only a small fraction of the ripple currency supply is traded. The rest is held off the market. So a price is arrived at based on trading this small subset then multiplied with the whole to arrive at a "market cap". This would be like taking the price of monero and multiplying it times ten times the total currency supply in-order to arrive at monero's market cap. It would be a sham and for a similar reason the "market cap" of ripple is a total sham. Ergo it means nothing.

Thats right. Every alt is still connected to BTC. People are mostly quite stupid and act that way, despite what ever you tell them. But what can you do. I hope the decouple will slowly finally happen anyway.

If bitcoin continues its way down, then we have a good chance to buy this coin at a low price. This is probably New Year discounts for the altcoin. I like it  Grin

It´s incredible how people doesn´t see the advantages of decentralization. I won´t even go to privacy and fungibility. Decentralization alone. A good part of the new money past 10k is going crazy about ripple. And some of them are going in at these price levels. So sad.

I dont understand as well, to me it looks like one big hype this whole crypto thing. I still believe in Monero so I am holding long , I’m just wondering what the bottem will be. 150 like mentioned earlier?

I worry in this facebook and meme world, we live in, whether anyone sees any deeper these days.

They will all be filing in line to hand over their cash. Sad

Already seen a mention from a serious city banker type to which I replied bad bad bad of course.

When cash is made illegal only outlaws will own cash.

And every billionaire and corporation who doesn't want their funds tied up by some rouge judge who decided that all their funds should be locked up just in case a 1 trillion dollar suit is succesful.

With that many billions of 'tokens' all instamined?  No - can't see it.
Market cap is bogus.  XRP in the past has arbitrarily doubled the supply.  Why not do it every year or ?  No different from $$, just quicker to transact.
