I dont think you had to be prudent.

More to the point, any solid, long-term viable coin (that isn't a flash in the pan which shows up at the top of the rankings for a short time before fading away) has done well with dollar cost averaging. When the price is low you get more coins. You don't need to be a master of timing.

Prudent investors who bought Monero during the recent decline in price will receive very good returns in the future.

I dont think you had to be prudent. You just should not fall into FUD that Monero will be baned everywhere. When law firms says otherwise, where exchanges says otherwise, where common sense says otherwise. Not only that but simply everything predicted crazy decade for Monero. Only coin with true privacy. Coin with zero problems with SEC regulation. Coin with next 7 years monetary inflation below Bitcoins (Right now Monero is at 1.34% when Bitcoin is at 1.76%).  Coin where number of transactions, so real usage grow 10% a month over more then a year period ( so not a hype or a short term pump). Coin with strong development. Coin with free marketing, since people will start talking about it naturally and free just like they did about Bitcoin.

Monero's price will rise in the future.

Nassim Taleb recently stated that the ideal cryptocurrency should be anonymous, confidential, and potentially convenient for transactions that cannot be tracked by an outside observer.  Monero has such unique properties.

The next Monero code update is scheduled for spring.  I think the price of Monero will rise by this time.

In the future, we will still see Monero at 0.01 BTC.

Prudent investors who bought Monero during the recent decline in price will receive very good returns in the future.

Loving this recovery, at 007 I think I will treat myself to a glass or two of Barolo.  Not that that's all I hope for of course, but after dipping to the mid-003s, it will feel a lot better.

Well now that the USD price is going up one of my buddys wants in.

I know why didn't he listen to me the last few weeks when I was saying to grab it then?

Pleb FOMO in action but better late than never I guess.

Anyways what is the simplest method for a n00b to get an account and buy in with USD?

Kraken?

He ain't getting any of mine. Grin

Same! Ha, but yes... Kraken is awesome. I just opened an account for the first time on any exchange in a while and it is really slick. Seems like they value your security more and than any other exchange that’s for sure.

Thank´s, interesting to see that 2,1% of crypto are used for illict activity  Grin Grin Grin

It’s cos they couldn’t see those txs anymore.  Wink  There’s nothing to report.  Lolol.  Grin

Seriously tho after all this is done and over with, with lots of folks making a lot of gains, it would be so dumb to store them in BTC for everybody to see.  I’m pretty sure a lot of crypto bros are pretty stoked with what the have in their accounts rn...  Prolly reaching 6 or even 7 figures.

Not only that Monero is not mentioned in the report. Also the biggest dark market that is Monero only, the White house market is not mentioned. It simply dont exist for Chainalysis.

Maybe they cannot track Monero?  Roll Eyes

Huh.

I am no expert on this... but damn.  That makes XMR one of two things.  Either being massively manipulated, or a candidate for a huge short squeeze, or both.

There was a similar post circulating on the Bitcoin Cash subreddit. The case for a massive short on either of these coins is likely based on complete fantasy.

The Bcash guys are blaming under-performance relative to Bitcoin on: a) massive shorting of BCH and b) rampant purchases of BTC with un-backed Tether.

I want to be very clear that my post had NOTHING to do with blaming any underperformance on anything especially not Tether conspiracies.

If that site is accurate Monero has an out of proportion amount of shorts, and that is very interesting.

Broke $200... and crickets?

Meh, dirty Fiat price, Wake me when we hit .03 again! Cheesy

Exactly my sentiment too. Actually I am pretty annoyed by the XMR / BTC ratio being so low, but there seems to be some improvement on that lately.

As i recognize, and as Monero naturally behaves, the up stream will be pretty rocketing  Cool
