Monero is still over $21 - it's holding value fine for me and has been for ages.

Expecting it to go up while BTC moons is not realistic.   If you have both BTC and Monero, you're fine.  Just be glad you're not in Dash Wink

Is that $21 in Canadian Dollars or something? LOL... showing $19.65 here now, on CoinMarketCap.

But yeah agree in general.

All during this "decline" it's only today, I think, that it finally dipped below the $20 holding point it's been on so strong recently.

So seems price in BTC is "going down" only mostly because BTC is going UP.

If you're a day-trader (ahem "gambler") looking to generate bitcoin profit by jumping in & out of the latest hot altcoin Pump & Dump?  Then yeah that matters I guess.

But IF you're buying this technology for the long-term world-changing effect it will have?  Probably not so much to worry about.

I am pretty relaxed when I watch the gradual decline of Monero as I do not own that many coins anymore.
If I had still bags full of Moneros I would be in pretty bad situation these times as the price is sliding down.
And funny thing is I do not feel any urgency to buy back in. The price is still relatively high compared with the status quo and non-existing marketing. Some would call Monero is over priced.

Someone over on a reddit thread posted a iink to this chart...

...which is formatted IMHO in a better way to see long-term more clearly.

Just looking at the same chart/data in a new form sometimes helps ya see it better, LOL

Made a decision to sell a few days back, have fun deluded Monero fans with the long slow fall down...

Uh huh... yeah, okay... no, don't think so but good luck with *all that* LOL

Why is monero quite going down right now? should i hodl?
Yup! Its has gone down and down and kept going down. But what else to do than to hold? Shouldn't be sold and lose so I'd suggest to hold em tight and wait... hopefully it will bounce back in time.

I sure hope so. As I stated I was going to do, I just bought a fair amount of XMR. Whether this will be a short day trade or a long time hold I'm not sure, but I do feel somewhat certain that XMR will be getting a decent pump sometime (even if it takes a while).

-if you keep it the short day trade, you'll have less profit in less time.
-if you keep it the long day trade, you'll have more profit in more time.

That's how I see the current scenario of Monero.
Yup, which is why I’m waiting to see exactly what happens. If we hit 40$-50$ then I’ll be jumping on the opportunity to make a quick buck, otherwise I’ll probably hold onto it and try to make some cash in the long run.

I hope that its just speculation base that i heard i outside people who are selling monero in the market a people who are mining XMR not a trader i think
Those are mining with vps or abusing the aws free trial if you heard many people even in digital goods or my client said when i sell my aws to them they are saying that they are using it for mining purposes,  and their target is XMR to mine.. I have one friend and we are testing to mine using minergate in ubunto instance launch in aws.
And confirm they are mining XMR using the trial service of aws.
Good luck i just share what i heard. about miners n monero..

All this "stability" lately and slow-bleed really does kinda sorta feel like it ought to be a set up for a nice punchy fast spike rally, maybe quick POP to $50...?

SoonTM...? ? ? ? ? ? ?   Tongue

So... all still okay mostly, you guys think?

Any reason to change anything, rebalance portfolio, add/remove XMR to some other coin or whassup really?

Best time to buy is when you doubt most. In 2015 when Monero was cheapest i bought only few. And Monero was nothing different then was in 2014 or 2016.   Now I can only  wish I would change some pocket money in Monero back then.

LOL... I have this applet showing Monero price in BTC, and today kinda panicked seeing we're back into touching the 015's

"OMG WTF XMR gettin' monkey hammered" ??

But then looking at CoinMarketCap I see it's really only off of $20 by less than 20 cents...?  Currently about $19.87...?

I had the same issue. Update fixes the stuck sync. process.

To me it also seems that the new version syncs faster than the former one. Nevertheless I heard about a bug in the new version that needs to fixed. Anyone else heard about it?

Could you be a bit more specific?

Are there any plans to allow integration with Ledger Nano S even using the Monero GUI wallet?

I desperately want to have my Monero keys on a hardware wallet.

Ledger has Monero on their public roadmap, but they are not sure at the moment if the Nano S has the power to handle Monero. Trezor is busy with Trezor 2 so Monero is not a priority.

I hope to soon post here a chart or table showing the amounts of moneros traded at any given price level (0-50k, 50-100k, etc.). In my opinion, monero has during all its exchange history been a rangebound coin. The all-time-weighted-average is about 400k, and most of the trade has been conducted at a narrow range of 300-500k. When the range is definitely broken, there is no knowing what the next trading range would be.

i think as time passes by, monero will be know in the market as what does other coin must have. it is too mine, i am mining it without using an investment just a computer only. i think more and more people will get to interested on it and put some investments on it. it will be rank as one of the successful coin other than coins that are being there.
