mikaelh,

Do you recommend running with one thread per core? I seem to get a lot higher PPS when I run with up to 8 threads per core, but haven't found nearly as many blocks with the higher thread count as I did when I ran with 1 thread per core.

Of course, this could just be attributed to bad luck or increased primecoin network speed.

Looking good I think.

Is that the same duration as the previous Sunny K run?

Yes, that's also 5 minutes.

So what's the eta for the update? I'm still personally a little bit skeptical about this.

Ah that's why.

For lucid you'll need libgmp3-dev.

FYI people!

These results seem to indicate that the block rate isn't much higher with my version. It definitely doesn't seem to correlate with primespersec. I will try with a bigger sieve.

Well, I did two 5 minute test runs on the testnet with both Sunny King's version and my version. Here are the raw results.

Code:
$ grep primemeter debug-sk.log
2013-07-13 23:52:03 primemeter   8907663 prime/h  55590547 test/h
2013-07-13 23:54:03 primemeter  11783978 prime/h  75861638 test/h
$ grep primemeter debug-hp.log
2013-07-13 23:58:14 primemeter  40165311 prime/h 337983907 test/h
2013-07-14 00:00:14 primemeter  40200340 prime/h 338913343 test/h
$ grep -c "Probable prime chain" debug-sk.log
26
$ grep -c "Probable prime chain" debug-hp.log
24

And thanks for the heads up about the sieve size guys.

yea i was using the x86 file,  so should use the x64. should I have it installed at "Program Files" or "Program Files (x84)" or it dosnt matter?

unzip it anywhere, it doesn't matter.

EDIT: The part that matters will always be in users>*username*>appdata>roaming>primecoin

Bitcoin is new, makes sense to hodl.
1 core VPS here, I got like 150 from 1.1, with this I got up to 1000, what the hell .

Until I get my first block, this pps thing could be just for mental.
