Hello all!

Firstly, this is my first post on this forum and would like to say hi to everyone, especially Ripple followers.

Secondly, I am a follower of Ripple. I am not fond of it (since it's currently centralized and controlled by the banks) but I find it interesting. I bought some XRP coin before the big jump just to be part of the game.

Thirdly, have some questions...

a) Ripple announced (if I remember correctly) that they will announce 2 major non-banking firms that will partner with Ripple for New Year's Eve but they didn't. Could anyone speculate with concrete arguments why they haven't done that already? Or did they just make fake marketing to pump the XRP coin and fool people into buy it?
I remember a tweet from Ripple about the announcement they didn't make - they sad that these things take time. Yes, sure but why did they sad it in the first place?

b) People are speculating that those 2 non-banking firms would be Amazon and Uber.  What is you opinion on that?

c) Ripple announced that they will decentralize the XRP token. Does this mean that Ripple would get rid of their major share of the XRP tokens? What will happen with the price?

Thanks for every reasonable reply.

You can't even put "banks" and "decentralization" in the same sentence. You should be a moron to do that.

You did that! Moron Smiley

hmm for that to happen the price should be at 1.5 first, which it is not. in fact it is closer to 1.9

Ripple is the most talked about crypto by the random people I talk to who know almost nothing about our world. I understand it is universally reviled by true blockchain believers, but what most people want is the security of knowing there is some central authority that can be held accountable. Obviously trusting the ripple dev team is silly, but most people just trust in authority. That means ripple has every possibility of growing for a long time.
Great insight and thoughts on Ripple. I am a believer in them, so will be holding for the long term.

Every once in a while, it's good for crypto investors to take stock of their investments and where they're at in terms of liquidity and adoption.  Today is that day, and I'm taking a look at the same numbers that we discussed just three months ago.

Headlines: Liquidity is massive.  The number of wallets doubled. To find out more, you'll have to read for yourself!

Hope you enjoy the read & please let me know what you think; I'll make an effort to reply to all first-level comments.

Thank you,
- Hodor!

I personally think XLM Decentralized is far far better than ripple centralized
can anyone back my words here

"I'm backing you."  That's it. But that's just what I can support to you.

My support is on ripple still  Cheesy This has been in the debate for so long but the price can only tell who is winning here.  XRP had been up for years, if they are up to scam they should have done it a long time ago and then disappear into the wild.

Ripple price fell below $2 over the weekend with the cryptocurrency losing $7billion from its market capitalisation.
The market cap of Ripple fell from $79B on Saturday to about $72B at midnight on Sunday night, according to CMC.
Price of XRP suffered similar hits, dropping from a weekend high of $2.05 to open today at just $1.86.
The unexpected fall comes after the announcement of a partnership between Ripple and MoneyGram on Thursday evening saw prices rise to $2.22.
Most of the top cryptocurrencies were trading at a loss on Monday morning, with the notable exception of ETH, which has been on a steady upward trend since the start of the year...  Roll Eyes

What about the dev of xlm that can dump billions on the market? Or IBM wich have bought the remaining xlm at a discount for 0.005$?
How is it more decentralized when they hold 70% of coins and gave away free money last year ? Also jed can create more xlm if needed Smiley

Interesting to see on low volume Ripple did not crash...  so..

either we will see a slow bleed down on minimal volume or we will spike up or down on large volume..  bit like spinning the roulette wheel in the short term

Since ripple controls all the gateways, we might as well join on investing some amount with ripple. If we will be using ripple against bitcoin, ripple will have a value of a thousand dollars each. Can you imagine if 5% of the whole world do use ripple, how huge is the demand then.
no one stopping anyone from investing in ripple so just do,anyway its a matter of trust and belief that making others to trust this coin, and personally im a ripple fan and im still buying when the price is right on my target.but im giving ripple this year to make a perfect pump and stay on a good value than what he having now.because if not i might choose another coins to replace in my portfolio at the end year.
