I started to believe it can go up above one dollar, not because i think XRP will be used by banks that is bound to happen sooner or later, (as the SBI already realizer they are also going to save a lot of money.), but because this is going to happen in combination of the freeze of several billion (~55) by ripple.
This will have a direct impact on the price and is happening quite fast by the end of this year.

- You should stop your blind faith, ripple will not be able to rise again, now the ripple is returning to its actual value, in the past because traders and investors have pumped and helped the price of the ripple rise too high, that made many people confuse the value of the ripple
- The value of the ripple is in technology, not in the coin, banks work with technology because that technology makes transactions faster, they do not care about the coin, you should think clearly, when the ripple has a lot of good news but the price has increased or not, the answer is no, people are abandoning it, waiting just wasting your time and money

The following are the key points of the new agreement:

Ripple will release any claim it has on the funds currently deposited with the federal District Court for the Northern District of California and Stellar will take possession of these funds.

Jed will donate 2 billion XRP to a charitable donor-advised fund ("DAF") of his choice. The same limits are placed on the ability of the charity to sell the XRP as are placed on the Jed's ability to sell his remaining XRP.

All of Jed and his children's remaining XRP, approximately 5.3 billion XRP, will be placed in a custody account at Ripple. While Jed retains full title and ownership of his remaining XRP, Ripple will control the release of his XRP in a manner consistent with the settlement agreement. Specifically, Jed will be allowed to sell his remaining XRP in the following manner:

- for the first year of the agreement Jed and the DAF will be able to collectively sell 0.5 percent of the Average Daily Volume of XRP for each day of the week, including weekends and holidays.*

- for the second and third years of this agreement, Jed and the DAF will be able to collectively sell for each day of the week 0.75 percent of the Average Daily Volume.

- for the fourth year of the agreement, Jed and the DAF will be able to collectively sell for each day of the week 1.0 percent of the Average Daily Volume.
for any time after the fourth year of the agreement, for each day of the week Jed and the DAF will be able to sell 1.5 percent of the Average Daily Volume.

my problem with my limited knowledge of Ripple (XRP) is that the majority of the shares are held by the two co-founders.  we dont have much say in it as minority share holders. 

Why do you need it reach to $2 ? As your said, it means the price of Ripple needs to raises its value 500% from current price. I think it is a huge profits, even just double current price still make me have a motivation to recover my gatehub account.

Yes, I total agree with you that Ripple is not suitable to invest in short-term. Ripple was launched to build an International Payment platform. There are more than 1000 banks use Ripple platform in the world. I believe in the future, Ripple coin will go up. 

Well at the moment I don't see any reason to hold or buy more XRP for investment for short time. I regret that last couple of weeks I brought more than 20.000 XRP because of the news with the IBM partnership and see what happened.

Its going to be a long wait though. I still kept my XRP on gatehub that I think I have forgotten already the password. I can recover it though but maybe not now. If $2 will happen, I will consider recovering it. Will wait for that to happen. XRP will soon rise.

every time someone says "bUt tHeY dOnT uSe xRp" ripple will be adopted by another bank

I am long since 0,15 EUR. Thought about selling the double and now it fully retraced.

I think this can go much higher than double or triple in the next months.

That will happen somewhere in december, it was at least confirmed to happen during the conference. I hope it does something

i thought they were gonna put away a big portion of ripple to stimulate the price increase.
did that happen already?

if we all buy more @ hodl @ let team do their tech and worldwide adoption   xrp can be 2,3$ in few years

investor need more information and update from Ripple lab. they seem are very quite now even I know they are working so hard .

Yeah Ripple has plenty of supply and maybe that is the reason why it's having a hard time to pump and a lot of investors and trader lost its trust to xrp when it hits all time high and then dip 100%.
