Apparently XRP will be replaced by Stellar. Expect a flip in price between the two soon enough.

Hahah lmao... yeah stellar has worked along side the regulators. Thats what IBM will find out very soon when they try to send xlm over countries Lol.

Subpoenas and complaints against IBM because of unregulated shitcoins like lumen

Nope, Stellar has pumped by its good news really good, IBM is not a small company. Therefore when a large company as IBM applied Stellar for their work, I do not think Stellar can not increase its price by the good news. Beside that, I still waiting the Indian government will use Ripple for their payment system.

have heard that companies will be only using ripple tech
then whats the use case of xrp..

Bankers at SWELL Ripple conference said Ripple ledger protocol is great but there is no demand for XRP itself, they won't be using it, they have to worry about regulation when using digital currencies but things MIGHT change in 2-3 years.

well well well, exactly what we have been saying for a long time. Lesson learnt to all investors, you never jump on a thread and listen to hype men, they want people to buy things to drive THEIR investment up. You do your own research. Ripple fintech is awesome but too many see that and automatically thin XRP. There are good articles around on the differences. Ripple even know that XRP is a hard sell to banks that's sole business is FIAT that's why they only force them to use XRP for fees only and they can do that with very little XRP (most likely given free). They knew if they wanted to make money off the technology that was the way they had to position themselves. They know it yet the investors cant see it lol

Let me guess any movement up resulted in 'to da moon', 'next were hitting $1', 'big news', 'there is a conference on' and lets not forget fancy pictures. All you can do is sit back and laugh at these guys. They would be sitting on a fortune if they were smart enough to sell on each pump rather then believe their own hype....

I do not understand why Ripple price is not going up. Can anyone explain this?

First of all, the recent high volatility time because of the upcoming BTC fork kills every healthy development at the market. The most people don't know what to do and follow short hypes, rumours, trends. It is a bit like on a chicken farm at the moment. Then it is the question, what investors / traders expect of the swell conference. I think, the most expected some very big announcements for Ripple. Thats why the price of XRP had a nice uptrend at the last weekend, before the conference started. But does swell confirm these hopes? Maybe not. We are hearing a lot things, which we already know. And the announcement, that Ripple will work together with other big companies, don't fulfill our expectations. We expect a breakthrough in the direction of mass adoption of Ripples technology. Anything less don't match with the hype. So hearing about new collaborations leaves us cool. We heard a lot of news like this. To push the price, the market deserves news about big steps forward.

Bernanke Backs 'Ripple' At Blockchain Conference: "The Tech Is Promising"

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-10-16/bernanke-backs-ripple-blockchain-conference-tech-promising

Two months ago we noted former Fed chief Ben Bernanke's apparent flip-flop since leaving office as he agreed to be the keynote speaker at a blockchain conference.

Having warned in 2015 of "serious problems" with bitcoin due to its "instability" and "anonymity"...

[Bitcoin]'s interesting from a technological point of view. We’re in a world where the payments system is evolving quickly and new approaches to managing payments are proliferating, and some of the ideas around bitcoin will no doubt be useful in doing that.

But I think bitcoin itself has some serious problems. The first is that it hasn’t shown to be a stable source of value. Its price has been highly volatile and it hasn’t yet established itself as a widely accepted transactions medium.

But the real serious problem that it has is it’s anonymity, which is a feature, and is also a bug, in that it has become in some cases a vehicle for illicit transactions, drug selling or terrorist financing or whatever. And you know, governments are not happy to let that activity happen, so I suspect that there will be oversight of transactions done in bitcoin or similar currencies and that will reduce the appeal.
But Bernanke told an audience at Ripple's Swell event in Toronto today that:

"...new technology like blockchain or electronic currencies can be used to improve" global payments, and added that Ripple's technology is "promising" as they work with regulators.

Dont know how others think about this. But its a bit like an endorsement for the financial world. Wink
