We tried to consider as many variables as possible.  There really was no perfect solution.  The coin had been dormant for so long, that we thought we needed to move quickly to galvanize the community.

If we had given 14 days notice, then on the 15th day someone would have said they weren't given enough time.  I knew that going into the process.  What is the number of days that would have balanced every single person's interests?  There is none!

We felt that posting in the thread, contacting people via private message, posting a clock on the thread and website, updating Twitter every day, and adjusting the thread title was a pretty big effort to make people aware of what was going on.

I understand that some people may be displeased with the result, so I did show concern for their situation.

There was only 1 person that showed any real disdain for the process, and they decided to use vulgar language rather than engage in an intelligent discussion.

I am doing the absolute best I can.  I believe I am very quick to address people's question in the thread and private message.

Clearly I have and will continue to make mistakes.  I have used probably 200 hours of my time and my own money to work on this coin.  There was no pre-mine or IPO, so I am basically working for free.

Will continue to work hard for the community as long as that makes sense and people think I am doing a good job.

No doubt, I also understand your point of view. Let's take the US example again: you come home from your Holidays and want to get some money from the bank. They tell you in a very polite tone that you missed a timeline and your Money is now nonexistent. Would you stay calm? Would you say "Oh, I see, may I kindly ask for the reason?" even without being sarcastic?
I would like to know how many People missed the timeline and what's the amount of coins they lost. Maybe we as a community can come up with a solution then. I am not talking about a 100% reimbursement, but maybe we can make up for a little. I am not asking you in the first place. I agree you need to be compensated for your work. As I do not know how much you are holding,  I cannot require you to give up anything. Nevertheless, those that - in relative terms - hold a lot, might be willing to put up a small a fund and reimburse those that have lost their coins.
As you said, there were only few people approaching you - even better! It can't be that bad then for a community to make up for that.

It seems that there was a slight over reaction to a legitimate concern. Personally I think utilizing the "are you autistic" can hardly be considered vulgar unless you are so caught up in political correctness. It was however a knee-jerk reaction, but I think we are all prone to that from time to time. Given the context of the entire timeline it was also unfair. I think it is probably more effective to just come out and say, hey this may not be truly ample notice. Certainly some consideration for those that are late would be nice, even if not practical.

Well said and nice to see I am not alone with my point of view. Also, you guys know that for a community, this would probably a novum in this very often corruptive cryptoworld. I would very much like the idea to set new standards here as a community.

We have already received 500 XSI for the Poloniex Giveaway  Grin.  We can start the promotion right away.  Great way to get new people interested in StabilityShares!

I would like to raise 1500 XSI for the promotion.  Will contact Poloniex and get it going as soon as we reach that amount.

Spending lots of time & money on development and upcoming promotions, so would definitely appreciate any help the community could offer.

I know playah and a couple others were planning on donating. But let me know if it falls short. I may be able to add another 100-200 if needed.

what on earth does being autistic have to do with anything, when did a disability become an insult? find a better way of expressing yourself.

Totally agree with that.

Lets just focus on discussion about the excitement surrounding our coin.

Vires in Numeris
I only came across XSI yesterday.  I have a few old XSS in my wallet that I mined on launch, is there any way I can get them converted to XSI ?

Hey griffitsj,

The old version of StabilityShares (XSS) were swapped for XSI this past Monday on Bittrex, Poloniex, AllCoin, and CryptoALTeX.

We posted this information with 7 days notice on the forum and Twitter repeatedly.

You can still mine XSI for about 10 days, until we transition to purely PoS.

Hope you will consider becoming part of our community.

Wait what?
So if you didn't trade your XSS during that one day window your shit out of luck?

This is unnacceptable.
God forbid you were out of town or didn't notice this thread on the forums due to there being A MILLION OTHER ANN's.

I don't recall seeing "hey trade your XSS on this day or they will become worthless!".

Who the fucks bright idea was this one day trade thing?

We posted notice of the process 7 days in advance.  Only a couple people have contacted me or posted in the thread about missing the deadline, so that indicates the community had ample notification.

If you read through our Twitter and the rest of the thread, you will clearly see the timeline established and repeated notifications about the trading deadline.

A clock was repeatedly posted in this thread, on our website, and daily alert on Twitter.  Also, when the switch to PoS was announced I personally contacted everyone that had posted in our thread up to that point to notify them about the forthcoming change.  We went to pretty great lengths to make sure everyone was aware of the switch.

I am sorry that you missed the trade for XSS to XSI.  You can still mine or purchase XSI, and we would love to have you as part of the community.  If you want to have further discussion by all means you can send me a private message.

If you want to curse or insult anyone in the thread, there will not be any further comment on my part.

Someone loses money and your suggestion to them is "hey you can buy more or mine more"?
Are you autistic?
Why wasn't the trade-in done in an open-ended manner?
Do you really think 7 days is "ample notification" to notify every person in the world holding XSS?
You really assumed that posting notices in this thread and on twitter was going to reach every XSS holder?  Huh
I'm sure many haven't even heard the news yet.
It doesn't matter how many have complained to you personally, the real question is "what was the total mined XSS and how many XSI were claimed"?

Do you understand that not everyone checks these forums every day, or this thread specifically? You do understand that there are 3530 topics on this sub-forum?

Is it really that hard for you to see someone elses point of view?
You are working on this project, it is your responsibility to be in this thread posting and taking part in this small community. Not everyone else is committed to checking these forums every day. Anyone who isn't autistic should be able to put themselves in someone elses shoes and say "wow yea, I guess it should have been left open ended so no one was screwed out of their stake because of arbitrary time restraints that I chose without their knowledge or consent".

Now I'm holding at least 15 different currencies from mining/investing. Should I be checking every single thread for every single coin, every single day?

If you knew it wouldn't reach every XSS holder but 90% of them or 80%, is that acceptable? to fuck 20% of XSS holders out of their stake?
Pro-tip: That's not acceptable. Not even for 5%

Its not your money to make that decision with.

If even 1 person lost money because of your decision to half-ass this transition to save yourself a bit of time, then you probably shouldn't be relied upon to manage a international currency system.

I just heard back from Poloniex regarding holding a StabilityShares giveaway on their exchange.  We can start the promotion immediately.

There was no pre-mine or IPO for XSI.  We have used the money from our own pockets to pay for promotions and development so far.

I have set up a wallet address, and anyone that would like to donate to the marketing and development of XSI can use the address below.

Thanks for everyone's support!

I can trade in polo, so happy

Yeah we are happy to be on Poloniex.  We are 11th on the Mintpal vote list, so if everyone keeps voting we should make it to their exchange also.
