The ICO has already closed. But you can still buy Spectrecoin very cheaply in the exchanges.

Spectre is the only network, which has absolute anonymity, any comparison is just another example.

Wow.  Seems like you can't read two posts above you.   Roll Eyes

Date for ICO? Or has boat sailed?

How anonymous is this compared to NAV and BLACKBYTES?  I see the other comparisons but not those two

You are incorrect in certain claims with respect to being the first token that integrates TOR and ring signatures.  Yes, indeed it is the most anonymous, but all these features were done by a different token first.  Don't believe me?

I invite you to read the thread proving this claim ... https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annec-eclipse-ring-signatures-anonymous-tor-stealth-addresses-1378922

Not to mention that their dev team managed to fix the Shadow devs flaw in their algorithm for generating a Key Image that is necessary in a ring signature scheme after it was proven to be de-anonymized by Shen Noether ...

The proposed fix by Shadow was even shown to the Shadow Team by one of the Eclipse Devs to be a singular point of weakness that could pose security flaws if / when ECDLP is breakable.

After the Eclipse Crypto team launched their coin and were polite enough to point out the weakness of Shadow's proposed method on their thread (the post and solution was subsequently deleted, but put up on the Eclipse thread for future posterity), a few days later, the Shadow Team incorporated the solution implemented by the Eclipse Crypto team.

In fact, XSPEC uses the same methodology of the Try-And-Increment method in their code, too (albeit, in a different way, as XSPEC's code uses EC_POINT_set_compressed_coordinates_GFp instead of testing if x^3 + 7 is a quadratic residue using secp256k1_ge_set_xquad_var as Eclipse Crypto does).

But the idea remains the same. Some value 'x' is tested to see if the corresponding (x,y) is a point on the elliptic curve. In the case of secp256k1, that is to say, a test is done whether y^2 = x^3 + 7 modulo p, with p being the characteristic of the field, is satisified (meaning both sides are equal when you plug in). If it's not, increase x by 1 and try again.  Although, Eclipse Crypto currently does an increase by triangular numbers (that is, the increment on the j'th iteration is j instead of 1), although this doesn't affect the validity of their modified implementation of Try-And-Increment.

Silence from the Eclipse Crypto devs, but the token is coming up on their one year anniversary in one month.  Might be something coming up soon Wink.

Who am I to say?

Spectrecoin [XSPEC] released update
On 08/01/2017 the initial investment round completed for Spectrecoin and 19 million XSPEC were distributed to investors on 09/01/2017 and this can be considered the official release date for XSPEC. I will go through what has been achieved since launch and what we plan to do next.

XSPEC V.1.1 “Ghost Protocol” wallet

On 22/01/2017 we released the next version of the XSPEC software or wallet, v.1.1 “Ghost Protocol” which was / is a mandatory update if anyone is still running the v.1.0 wallet. There are two main changes from the last version that both indicate where we are going with this project.

(1) You will notice that we now have a full Tor (The Onion Router) integration in the wallet and that Tor is a ‘forced’ option and will start with the wallet. This means that the whole of the XSPEC network, nodes and clients are running under Tor and will protected from the outside world and all the users IP addresses will be obscured. This means that all the communication is between .onion addresses and not between IP addresses. This means that the users of XSPEC will not reveal their real IP address whilst making transactions and staking. We believe this is a crucial feature that surprisingly has not been incorporated into either Shadowcash or Monero. Why Tor and not I2P? Well, accomplish the same task, to hide your IP but do it in slightly different ways. Tor has a significantly larger community and user base than I2P and so has the benefit of more real life testing and benefits from formal studies of anonymity, resistance, and performance. Tor is better known and implemented and has adapted to DDOS attacks and has more visibility in the academic and hacker communities. In addition, Tor is less likely to be blocked by nation states due to its architecture and design. I2P also has advantages and it is not unlikely that we may release a version with I2P in the future.

(2) The market tab that was remnant from our Shadowcash past has been removed. We have a different philosophy and direction then our predecessor and our main aim and ambition is towards increased privacy and anonymity and not towards adding yet another so called “dark market” to our wallet. We will work towards a ‘pure’ anonymous currency and we rather believe that we will be able to work with OpenBazaar and by time be adopted by existing market infrastructure. There is no point in re-inventing the wheel by creating an essentially redundant market and get bogged down coding this when privacy is the focus. We will rather spend our time perfecting our privacy technology, Tor integration and leave the development of market technology to others. We can then join forces to the benefit of both.

We now have an expanding network and both the staking with PoSv3 and the stability of the network appears good. There has been no issues so far.

Exchanges
Since our launch 2 weeks ago we are now listed on three exchanges:
(1) C-Cex which trades XSPEC/BTC and XSPEC/USD and others
(2) NovaExchange trades XSPEC/BTC and other pairs
(3) Cryptopia trades XSPEC/BTC and other pairs
We were also happy to see that we breached and went beyond a market capitalisation of $1,000,000,- in the first two days of trading on all three exchanges. This bodes well for the future and we have our sights set on Bittrex and Poloniex.

XSPEC Mobile
The ultimate aim is to develop a mobile system for anonymous cash transfers. We are close to releasing the first in a series of Android implementations of XSPEC that will lead to a fully fledged anonymous cash transfer app. Expect further updates on this in the near future.

Whats next?
I envisage XSPEC as being able to provide the best anonymity and privacy and to be useful both as a medium of exchange and as a settlement currency for an anonymous cash transfer / trade app for mobile platforms.

Another thing is there any sync problem on spectre wallet, it can connect but not downloading new block.

No, there is no sync problem, it could be something local, the best thing to do is to join our Slack chat and there may be people that can help you.

I think you should try hard to list this coin at poloniex, just see how pascal do , INSANE!

We need volume to list at poloniex.  As was pointed out by another xspec holder, I believe that poloniex held major pascal and listed it on their exchange to enrich themselves. We'll be on a major exchange as the tech here is set apart from anything out there.

Yobit should be good I think if we can't be listed yet at polo, i'm riding a train with this one because of TOR tech.

16 BTC for 400k. Final Offer.  Roll Eyes

At yesterdays price of .05 cents, 400K would be more like 20 BTC....don't think you'll find anytakers there

btw...for the there's around 3000 spec available on Cryptopia for 4000 sats and below.  Cool

Cool Did you think PiotrZielinski might not want to buy in the open market and better look for a market with the possibility of onion ?.  Roll Eyes
