Much love for the new Website but what happened to the ROADMAP TIMELINE?  Would be nice to have each item on Roadmap be a Link pointing to a subject expansion paragraph and an "implementation by" date.  If it's supposed to be like this it's not working on my end.

Would be nice to have new site feature a "Contact Us" link and also include a "Latest $XVG News" feed

Lastly, implementing  a quarterly or monthly "Newsletter" with an email sign-up option might be a good idea.

well, exact dates just aren't possible with some of the points. we can only put ~rough estimates. looks cleaner this way, and as long as people pay attention to our twitter and this thread, they'll know what's going on anyway.

The website still needs a lot of upgrade, mostly color, some animation, a youtube video.
I was comparing it to bitconnect, which has nothing to offer and it is standing at 30 dollars just because of website.

BTW - I love this coin and I've vested myself in it.

Website offers static presentation of goal, to do this with Twitter and Thread you'd have to post every hour.  Additionally, constantly meeting goals by an approximate date builds trust and confidence in the Developers and that goes a long way specially with all the "New Money" coming into the space.  A simple implementation  "Target Time Frame" expressed in a quarterly format keeps the "minimalist" style your aiming for.  I.e.,

Great, thank you, I am pretty sure that we are making you crazy ahah

Great,
I re-design Roadmap, Please replace old design to this
https://ibb.co/nirTdQ

And I think the old logo is better, and i think you must change the blue color (in whole site) to this color #79d3d3 (Green Verge)

The "re-design" roadmap is definitely more clear. But I would use another style for "2017". let's try to be more professional as possible.

unfortunately, as roadmap & milestone, we need to have dates, they could be a day, a month or a quarter but we need to be more "tangible" as possible.

UVP on the user end is it is the first and most developed blockchain to use i2p/Tor obfuscation to provide privacy and security.

Great !

Really nice interview!! I think that currently a lot of new money are moving inside crypto but newbies probably are not able to understand differences between python and C, in these case i2p and Tor, so an interview like that can be really useful.  to hook these people /this fresh new money we need to simplify more as we can -let say: explain your idea to a child-.

the community seems quite active too,  working on mkt point of view, growing the community, this coin will skyrocket. You can definitely leverage on that two point Cheesy

Some of us in the community want to be long term holders of $XVG  any thoughts of implementing PoS?  This would be an awesome eco friendly option to all wanting to go very long on coin plus it would provide much value.

I ve got the normal electrum wallet connected now with the default network settings (after initially getting some "server is lagging" messages).

However, the tor one is not working. I have the tor browser running and tried "SOCKS5" 9050 and 9150, shutdown + restart the wallet, shutdown + restart tor, selected server manually, and so on. It just remains "not connected" and the X in the right corner is also permanently.  I am using the GUI by the way.

I get your normal electrum wallet connect through tor though using SOCKS5 and 9150.

yes 9150 if you are running the tor browser bundle. if you are on linux it uses 9050.

can you try again and take a screenshot of the network settings tab open

you can pm me directly if you dont want to post that here.

Well think of it this way... If he does change the logo, the old logo shirts would give you better hipster cred.

useless comment

No Hipster here

Just somebody that can compare 2 Logos and recognize that 1 is awesome
and the other is (sorry dev) crap...

But you know what ? IDGAF...Just an opinion

I'm a miner not a minor.
Guys please help me - I have never mined before. This is my first time and I would like to start with Verge.

My PC info as follow.
AMD FX-9590 CPU (8x 4.70GHz/8MB L3 Cache)
Liquid CPU Cooling System [AMD] - ARC Dual Silent High Performance Fan Upgrade (Push-Pull Airflow)
Memory   16 GB [8 GB x2] DDR3-1600 Memory Module
Video Card   AMD Radeon R9 270X 2GB
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 -- AMD 990FX w/ 4x PCI-E 2.0 x16
Power Supply   600 Watt - Standard
Primary Hard Drive   64 GB ADATA SP900 SSD

Is it possible to mine with this ?
Do i need to purchase another mining machine ?
Is it easy to set up ?

Anyone can help with my questions ?? I need to setup mining ...

You can absolutely mine with your CPU simply by specifying an algorithm in your config and turning on mining in the wallet. There is info here for that: https://github.com/vergecurrency/VERGE

If you want to mine with your GPU you'll need separate mining software that supports one of the XVG algorithms. sgminer is a good example of this: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-sgminer-v5-optimized-x11x13neoscryptlyra2reetc-kernel-switch-miner-632503

Good luck!

Ok - I would like to start using GPU mining . Is there a guide for beginners step by step ? So i download sgminer then what ? Huh

If you've never mined before I would suggesting doing some googling and reading. Start with the sgminer thread and documentation for sgminer. Visit some of the pool sites where verge is listed as they have documentation as well on how to use their pools. You have to dig in and play around. Nicehash website has alot of good documentation on mining as well. Good luck to ya Smiley
