It is a tool for privacy; privacy tools can help w/ security. However, they're not a panacea - think about how Tor talks about the Tor browser (i.e., there are a lot of other factors that go into online security/privacy besides than using specific software). Security/privacy is a lot like yoga or meditation - it's a practice, and it takes time to get good at it.

A lot of us have been retweeting. At least I know I have. VergeDEV has been getting bombarded by notifications on twitter, so I have to believe that XVG is starting to trend.
