well, voting is good.
i just hope that simple BTC users/holders could also vote with their wallet client, like the mechanism that NU wallet has for voting Wink

Remember that miners are the ones that suffer from deflation. They should be the only ones voting.

Congrats to the miner that got the BIP100 block!

Well, for now it's just a signature signifying a vote for BIP100. If you look more closely it also uses the block size voting mechanism described in the white paper for BIP 100 with a vote for 2MB.

2MB sounds perfect atm!

Wow... I suppose you think its ok to have a miner farm running in your uni dorm as well
or to tap into your next door neighbors power supply
or rent an apartment with elec thrown in then run a farm there ?

whichever way you look at it you are stealing electricity and its a criminal offence as has been said..
You wouldn't be working for me.. Be out the door straight away and charged for your efforts..

Rent my miners online at Mining Rig Rentals !!

I already clarified my position on this. I think the bias is strong with this one...

Exactly this. The only way to trust your results is to buy your own equipment. Seriously, it's not that expensive anymore. The chief concern is electricity cost, but there are ways around that by mining at work, mining at a hospital, an outdoor outlet somewhere, or using alternative energy. You can get free solar panels in some states. There's no reason not to save that gambled money and just buy your own miners anymore.

727miner, out of curiosity where were you renting from?

Has anyone found a block using Nice/WestHash?

The group of us that Phil ran, used NiceHash and found two blocks on this pool. The second block came like within a hour of the first. We hit nothing prior or after even tho we try many times.

I am checking all the btc I ever sent to nice/west hash

I hit 3 blocks with them  2 at ck and one at mmpool.org  So I got a total of 3 blocks.

I have rented more then 34 btc of hash. That covers 6-1-2015 to now.  2 blocks hit for 34btc rented

I need to look at figures to find the exact amounted rented from 8-1-2014 to 6-1-2015  when I hit the block on mmpool.org

Spent 7.34 coins from Aug- 1 -2014 to  Nov -2- 2014

Still need to figure   Nov-2-2014 to June 1 2015.

but 41-42 accounted for.

20 From  Nov-2-2014- 2-24-2015

so 61-62

looking for feb 25-2015 to may 31 2015

and found that  33 btc more

so looks to me like 94-95  in and 75 out

There will be a brief blip in mining as the pool is restarted while I add coinbase vote support for BIP 100. While solo only averages one block per week I still feel it important I show my support.

EDIT: Completed. Keep on mining.

Note there are still people trying to mine on this pool with "regular" usernames - you will continue to be rejected by the pool and unable to mine unless your username is a valid bitcoin address.

Has anyone found a block using Nice/WestHash?

Mining Rig Rentals. Personally, I've spent tons of coins at Nice/West and never had any luck. Every block I've found using rented hash was using miners from MRR. I do know that several other members on here have found blocks using Nice/West though.

MRR all the way based on stats. Nice/WestHash only when they want sorry your very lucky

maybe the way to go is pay for some big hash for a few hours and then pay for a lot lower amount for a longer time, get your best share rate up and then run for a few weeks with a lower hash rate.

I am trying this and hope I win

Well...
That is an interesting stratagy))
But it doesn't work that way.

Best share doesn't really mean anything.
It's just showing you, that you are indeed mining, and your best share up until now was xxx.

Here's an example:
Let's say, you went fishing.
Sitting there for hours and hours...
And then bam, you caught a shark(best share).
But it doesn't mean that you will catch a whale(block), next.
It only means, that for now you've got yourself a nice little shark)
And you might actually never catch a whale.

But yeah... You can still stick to your plan, maybe you will find a block)
