I adore ETH. I believe in him very high hopes.
I would say ETH, cause it's not breaking my bank as hard as BTC and without doubts, it's one of the fundamental coins. In other words, if ETH will go down, most likely the price of BTC is already 0.1$ or going to that gap.

Bitcoin and Ethereum is the best long term investment i have because this cryptocurrency are the most stable and have a very large community support in crypto industry. It also holds majority of shares of volume in coinmarketcap.

eth is still the mainstay coin for investment, but there are additional coins for investment, such as CTR, FDX, UTK and BKX. the coin has a good price, but because now all the oin has decreased so the price of the coin drop and decrease. it's a good time to buy the coins.
my favourite is cobinhood. with zero trading feex exchange, they will be in top 5 exchange in 2018, watch that coin 
I like ethereum most of all, but I also use bitcoin. Eth is a more permanent coin than bitcoin, the constant jumps in the bitcoine course make me sad.

As for me, I have invested into all privacy coins: XMR, DASH, PIVX, ZEC. They are all good and I will be holding them for a long time. Those are all good, established coins that will not go away and will only keep growing. When they dip and people sell it in panick, I buy it more.
