I once had 9 games of matches all lineup, 7 were played and they all went as predicted but I was a bit afraid and sceptical that the remaining two matches may not go as I have planned. They all happen in the space of 2 days and the last two were to begin in some minutes, and then I began to tell God to let me win this one, that it is going to be the last gambling game I will stake and guess what, It went as predicted and now, it has become an Anthem for luck when I don't know the next move.

Gamblers used to have superstitious beliefs. In a short they'll understand, it isn't powerful anymore. Some used to wear specific colour dress and used to play from specific locations and so on. I've tried to play from specific locations and in two particular places I've lost big. I've tried playing from those locations later and experienced the same. However these are just the mind that accepts the loss in some way and there is nothing connective to it.

In real-time gambling I've seen people playing cards sitting on the same order from morning to night. If a person is lucky to win and in between if he leaves, then for the particular position is filled by shuffling lot.

Well, those mantra may don't bring out good effects for most of us, but maybe for some it does. So i guess the effects are different though. Experience is your best teacher because once you do encounter or experience it for yourself then you would able to realize or justify something whether it would oppose on what you do believe or would go along.

So we arent that dumb on not to notice the differences yet we know that gambling cant really be influenced by external factors which could affect your luck chance or probability.

If you do keep pushing yourself to believe on things which arent that possible then you would really be committing out lots of mistakes.

Less and less games are based on RNG because more and more people like to play to real games at live casinos since it's more social and more trustworthy than digital games. There rituals can influence games because it can change the way the dealer is dealing. I don't think it will bring you more success but at least you can impact the game you are playing at.

Not in terms of belief, it's just that here it's more of a positive mental method to play calmly. I don't have a spell like that and never even do it whenever I gamble. I don't have a special spell when gambling but I have a habit when I run out of capital (when playing slots and dice) I will play with my eyes closed and luckily when I do that most of my capital returns

every gambler has unique habits, there is a friend of mine who will suck his thumb while gambling and indeed that sometimes makes him lucky, it's really funny to see when he does that

Indirectly they practice a tradition that actually has nothing to do with gambling but because at that time they are lucky, then repeat it again before gambling, that is what they call a mantra. So I agree with you, that such activities often happen in countries rich in many traditions but in the end the spell doesn't work anymore, so they won't practice the spell anymore and play gambling normally without expecting luck from the spell.

I don't have any mantra i recite although I don't gamble every day but I believe in my instinct and I only play whenever I have the feeling of being lucky with the game.

You have a point with what you said because false hope can lead to stress which could cause some serious illness or bankruptcy for gamblers but the OP claim she only plays with the fund she can afford to lose which is still good.
I don't want to be biased about people's beliefs but is it possible for Mantra to work in gambling when the game's fate is already decided.

A Mantra is exceptionally powerful when the result depends on yourself on your effort of that desire to succeed to win, but in betting variance rules, odds, banking, etc...no.

Well it is not a mantra but more of a ritual- before I gamble, I used to put a penny inside my shoes and I stepped on it before I gamble my resources away. As for my brother, he always say the phrase "win or lose, at least I had fun."

Though these mantras or rituals may have no effect on the gambling odds/chances, it somehow gives the players this comfort and motivation that everything will be alright. This kind of effect is similar when you give yourself a pep-talk where it somehow boosts your confidence before you do something.

We all have our own unique and different mantras, ritual or sometimes it may be also called as a superstitious beliefs because these things are not tested and proven after all. We just believe on it because it helps us to be more calm, confident and more relaxed while playing/gambling.

Yes, some people may see it ridiculous as there are also gamblers that doesn't have any kind of beliefs at all. Just let them be because these beliefs helps us not be so serious and illogical.

For sure. There are many different practices. For example, I have noticed that I've felt much better while gambling when I have been in a more positive state, and where I really have a good energy. I don't have a problem if there are people who always have a negative mindset and they think it's always the right to be thinking about the bad stuff. But, as I said before, I've learned that it's difficult to get a good result when I'm not in a positive state of mind.

As for my pre-gambling mantra or ritual, I don't really have one, but I feel like that it has become so natural for me now that I don't need it to be completely relaxed and calm.

I do this as well and it's not really just in gambling bet. I think it became my habit to claim for positive things whenever I want to achieve something. I have this little phrases I utter like "I'm claiming it" or "This is for me" just to get my hopes and faith up. This way, I feel more courageous to do the thing I want to accomplish.

In the same way, I believe this parallels with the law of attraction. There's really no guarantee that if you have these mantras you will really win or get what you are hoping for. After all, there's no harm in doing this so might as well continue it as long as I want. It's not as if you are violating anyone's right. Like what they say, to each his own.

You have nothing to lose if you have some Mantra before or after you gamble, if this is the thing that can make you more comfortable them why not?
I just don't like that some gamblers fully rely on this belief and when the result is not on their favor, most probably they will act like a total broke gambler for the whole day or even for the whole week. I just have a simple routine, just set aside my money have some coins on my wallet just in case I lose everything, at least I still have that coins to bring me home.

Interesting topic, to be honest I haven't really thought about that before. Sure there are some subjective things that I try to follow and things I like to avoid. For example, if I had a hard day at work that I will usually not gamble in the evening. Before a gambling session I try to be calm and relaxed, especially when playing poker I make sure that my mind is clear and I am not focusing on other problems. Also when I have a good day and feel lucky I try to buy scratch tickets, but that's seems to be a very bad indicator. For years now I haven't made any money with scratch tickets, since they are so cheap I also can't stop with them. A positive mindset is important in life, and will help in gambling too. But I don't think that just because we feel lucky, we will have more luck in our games. It could also be that due a bad fews rounds we ruin our mood completely. It's better not to make a connection in our head between winning and having a good mood. That's why professional keep recommending to take emotions out of gambling and investing. My mantra would probably be to look after our own health, and don't let winning or losing change our health.

Well, I think when the spell is unplanned and only comes at a certain time, then it seems like a spell like that is formed from the mood and also about how high we believe it was a good day or a bad day. Because I'm sure, even though you have a spell but try the spell every time you bet, the results will not always match. So, gambling may not require a spell but self-awareness to feel the mood and belief in yourself.
