Coming from a family who experiences financial hardship ,life already has an edge over you,you grow up to struggle for daily bread and faced with alot of challenges ,life already teaches you how to survive and be an hustler hoping for the best ,It is left to you to change the story ,only you can re-write your story ,life comes with alot of hardship,challenges thrown at you ,do not be discouraged, be positive and hope for the best,think big ,work hard ,if you believe the story will change with you then hard and work towards it ,life is cruel, live it as it comes and put in your best, never give up .you might feel depressed,tired ,like giving up ,ending it ,think positive ,change is constant, change the situation around you ,it not easy doing tho but keep putting in your best,one day the effort will pay.
It is not bad for parents to try and guide their children to the right path in life, but parents should not be the one to chose what their children should do and become in life.
I have seen someone after graduation gave the certificate to her mum, he said I have done what u asked me, and went back to study what he wanted to, he followed his passion and was successful in life. Know what you are passionate about and it will make you successful one way or another.

To define one's purpose of existence these days is quite difficult. It means one has to come to terms with a particular interests and try to make it work, but where this doesn't happen for either reasons of mounting bills, fear of unknown, other popular opinion and the likes of excuses I failed to include, what then is the option for survival? Hence, why so many having seen the work involved in making whatever interests become an income stream simply just push it aside and opt to settle for whatever pays the bill, not minding the emotional debacle that comes with it. It's never easy to just ignore that silent voice telling one to go at an idea, but at some point, with factors like age, being a parent, taking care of old parents or younger ones who look up to one, I do understand why so many choose not give a heed to follow after the purpose of interest.
I often ask myself questions so as to be able to keep that silent voice active and under control, all because of economic hardship, a pandemic break, age factor. It's never late however, to live a purposeful life starting now if the fear factor can be ignored like a bad habit.

Self discovery is one thing people try so hard to maintain. Most people loose their true identify because of societal influence. Financial benefits has made people deviate from their passions thereby going for what the feel is more lucrative and most time this ends up making loose their drive for what gives them true excitement.
I believe if there could be a means whereby peoples dreams are been sponsored from scratch their energy and time also channeled to there passion the will make tremendous success. Encouragements through help build confidence in people.

True that. Most individuals deviate from their passions and dreams/ purpose not deliberately but because there is no financial encouragement. Most people just need a sponsor who can invest in their dreams and help them harness their purpose in life. My purpose in life is to ensure that everyone that comes in contact with me would be positively impacted. And this purpose is the totality or the summary of my daily actions and inaction. Daily, I want to treat and love people they way I treat myself. I want to ensure daily that however I want to be treated let me treat others the same way. I don't want to be selfish or proud but my purpose daily is to ensure that I am selfless and meek. I don't want to be rich stealing from others and I don't want to live a life of luxury when my neighbors are living in misery. My gifts and talents are not for sale but for the benefit of mankind. My purpose generally is to die empty.
No one can succeed in life, without finding his or her career or passion, no matter how hard working the individual is. That's why all parents should assist there kids in making the right choice, not making it for them. To ensure a happy future.
As our faces differ so also does our purpose differ. What interests you may be different from mine. But most times the things we had passion for during childhood are not always accomplished because of some external factors that we don't have control over. However, it's best we engage in things that we have passion for even if we are not earning as much as expected, we get fulfilled and I believe that no matter how successful one is, its important we help others ascend the ladder of progress.

My purpose in live is to help the helpless cause of the background I came from, during my childhood I went through a lot so I know how it feels to be helpless, that is why I made up my mind to organize an NGO organization to help the less privilege expecially the orphans that have no body to assist them in life.
Creating means of NGO that will support people and most important helpless people is good but the question is that were are you getting your funds to start with? Because creating NGO you most have capitalMakes sense with all of that, you can see for yourself that there will be a basic capital to move all this. but once it happens it can convince people to keep investing in goodness to get rewarded later. Very nice way for everyone and help the underprivileged people with all this stuff.

You have a very noble dream to be able to make your parents happy, that's something to be proud of but you should have a business or a picture of life ahead by having some good business to do. Simple,my purpose in life,is living a simple life.Study,work and share to people ,what you have blessings comes.Fight for your rights,keep yourself busy.Don' t allow people to manipulate yourlode as long you can do it,in your own self.Help peoplw who suffering in poverty and teach them how to live ,to earned money,so can survive everyday there life.
No parents would allow his/her child to embrace to a career that will not be profitable. I understand we growing up their is this passion we do have for a particular life style but I feel if this life style which the child is mimicking is not a good one ,it is best for the parents to change the child's way from it so that the child won't grow up with it. But if it is a good one that will have impact in the child's life when the child grows up it will be better for the parents to encourage that child to grow up with it.
We're currently going through a world that is rapidly changing and advancing, what we think is profitable now, might not be profitable in 5-10-20 years. From my point of view, it's best to follow your passion, if you're good at something, chances are that you might as well end up turning it into a living. There's no way to predict the future, thus, we might as well follow what we like. 
One of the greatest things that could happened to man in life is the privilege of birth into this world first, our parents have acted their own part right from childhood to a youthful stage of an adult, it os expected of individual to begin to find means to surviving the life, let's take a look at or lower creatures, once their parent gave birth to them they begin to live independency with time.
This is when the law of growth is required, you were once given a milk as food but now you need to eat meat and source it out all by yourself, our dear parents were once a child and when time comes they yielded to the call of growth and change and they move on with live, it is expected of us to adapt to changes in live as we grow, while you decided on what to become in live all by yourself else they can only advice you, direct and assist you toward fulfilling purpose, but one will totally be held responsible for his if miserable or a purposeful living.

You define "purpose" only by any self interest that someone might have and it brings into question the "nature v. nurture" argument. If it's someone's dream to be an engineer in life, but they are limited by their IQ (or their physical circumstances), their purpose is limited by factors out of their control. And children aren't meant to think of these limiting factors, they're children. No matter how hard they might try, no matter how hard their parents might set him/her up for success, it will end up in failure.
So the answer is, nothing. Sometimes accepting things are out of your control is the only option, as pessimistic as it may sound.
