 this thread tends to ramble a bit. possibly related to ppl having a good time while serving a broad comunity with a mission to do good.  

i just recently consolidated my zeits into blocks of 10m, worked very nicely, staking went fast

if you have lots of free comp time and would favor supporting the network, make smaller blocks

why is everyone here talking about other stuff other than the coin. im a new possible investor and i would like to know where this coin is going. can someone please enlighten me. also what is a good amount to split coins at 50k batches or more?

Best guess not for the foreseeable future.  

There are a lot of questions yet to be answered about blockchain smart contracts.
The legality will be questionable for quite some time as even BTC has not been completely defined yet.
One thing that still has not been cleared up is if someone placed copyrighted works or government secrets in the block chain, would an attempt be made to outlaw that blockchain or disrupt that coin operations.
One option mentioned by Ethereum was setting up peer to peer gambling, which would cause their use to be outlawed in many countries that require all gambling institutions to be regulated.
Other question still open are, for the tokens for real world items, will some sort of Age verification and ID verification be required, and if not will outside influences contest its use.

Smart to watch them and see how the environment begins to development.
If it ever does become a needed issue, would like to see it developed along side Zeit, not directly attached to the wallet. Basically a Mutli-Node type system , where we have normal Zeit Nodes that relay zeit , and a secondary Smart Contract Zeit Node that relays Zeit coins and the smart contracts.
These specialty nodes would need to have a certain number of zeit to function on the zeit network, say 1 million zeitcoin per special function node.
Once reason to separate the special node functions, is once Zeit becomes used globally, we don't want to have the way people buy & sell paused or disrupted while we update the special nodes , only the special nodes would be offline, not Zeit itself.

Some ideas for special nodes, (In the Far Future)
Smart Contracts
Encrypted Software Licenses , so 3rd partys would check the blockchain to verify software is licensed.
Voting Polls Nodes
Zeit Ad Network Nodes

Goals for sometime before the drop to final 5% rate.
Block Time change to 45 seconds from 30 seconds
Android Wallet (does not need to stake only send & receive Zeit)

One Cool Use for Zeit in the Future :
Lock/Keys systems that require input from zeit addresses to unlock.
Basically a Real World Lock, that waits for a certain amount of zeit to be sent to unlock it,
Imagine coming home and sending .01512407 zeit to your house's Zeit Address to unlock your front door.  
And since it is set to only recognize input from specific Preset Zeit Addresses, No one else can use it.
Or sending .001 zeit to your sprinkler system to turn on the sprinklers and .002 to turn it off.
Could also be used as a Multi Lock requiring multiple people to send zeit to open a vault.
(Zeit Address & amounts can't be counterfeited.)
