I'd be more inclined toward something faintly resembling empathy for mullick/crapsy if all - or indeed any - of our other exchanges had reported similar problems.

I'm not techy enough to know if their explanation is plausible, but I am 'political' enough to be suspicious about the timing.

Whilst it would be understandable for our community to take a "we're OK now, so sod the other 38" attitude, perhaps it would show genuine commitment to the greater good if the Knights took on the task of communicating with the other affected coins & co-coordinating such a legal action anyway?

Personally I don't have so much as a single Zeit tied up in crapsy but I'd still be willing to work toward helping anyone who has lost out through no reason or blame on themselves. That includes every member of our own community who has lost ~2.7% in minting.

The Leaf only goes green if you have the wallet locked to let you know coins are ready to mint and you should unlock the wallet. Since you are not locking your wallet , it will not turn green , just mint when it can.

Coins will only be in stake balance when currently staking.

Coins complete to stake, basically the amount of coins in a block X the age = weight ,
if your weight is higher than the other person trying to stake at a given time , you will stake, if not they will stake first, and you will not stake until you have the highest weight. Our coins compete every 30 seconds , so 2 blocks a minute. So for the past few days everyone else had a higher weight than you when the new blocks were created until today. But since the payout of interest is higher if the weight is higher, you still receive the same amount of interest per year.
Also once you stake , that block will not stake again for 20 days at the earliest.

To See your Blocks Dates,
Click Settings & options, click display , place a check mark beside display coin control features, click ok.
click send coins, click inputs,
click the arrow and it expands so you can see the blocks and their data and their confirmations.

@Furio: Everything is fine with your wallet. Now you have to wait till further blocks are getting matured.

What I don't get is that my amount to stake was 400K just now, but that was just recently tranferred to my wallet. Now the stake balance is 0 again, why is that? And why didn't it stake between 1feb and 7 feb?

Once the stake amount is confirmed it will always go back to 0 until the next stake. That's just how it works and is nothing to be concerned about.

Why doesn't the client stake/mine anymore?

It is staking normally.

Things to check.
1. You have to be on version 2.0.1.5 , to stake.
Older Versions will not stake.
In Zeit Wallet , Click on Help , click About Zeitcoin , and it shows what version your are on.

2. Smaller amounts take longer to stake.

3. What are the dates beside the blocks.
Stakes will take a minimum of 20 days before they can stake, but can take much longer if the amounts per block are small.

4. Makes sure that you click Minting , then click  Minting UNLOCK,
If your wallet is locked it will not mint, but your green leaf at the bottom right of the screen will turn green if you have some ready. But you still have to unlock it for it to mint.

5. Just to be clear , if you go under Transactions and look and see a ?  beside a bunch that say mined but are greyed out, that is what is called Orphans.
So are you having a lot or Orphans or is it not minting at all?

 Cool

@ work now, will get back on this. I'm on the new version, it was staking before the update, and steadily increasing in amount, because of mint aging. My wallet is unlocked. The grean leaf never was green, but it did mint....

#1 Check. #2Check, noticed that indeed Smiley #3 Don't know where to find that answer, in block explorer how do I know which block  Huh #4 offcourse, yet my leave never went green, but I still staked/minted. #5 I have 2 or 3 orphans, no biggie I think, but that's not the problem.

I've uploaded a ss of my client. What I don't get is that my amount to stake was 400K just now, but that was just recently tranferred to my wallet. Now the stake balance is 0 again, why is that? And why didn't it stake between 1feb and 7 feb?

Well ill point it out again. We have about 7 coins we are working on and 25+ coins waiting on fixes from the developers. We will be updating the wallet status page in a few days to reflect that.

Zeitcoin was a special case which took longer than expected to fix for a few reasons.

1. The blockchain is 1.1 Million blocks long. When stripping the wallet down to speed up the daemon all transactions had to be removed and then all addresses rescanned against the 1.1. million blocks. This takes some time

2. Zeitcoin has a large amount of coins in the blockchain. And no solid way to disable staking in a wallet. The reserve balance maxes out at 9,999,999 zeit which is roughly about 18 ltc at this time. Anything over that in our hot wallet gets locked in stake and slows down the wallet further. We had to modify one of our daemons and remove the stake minting code.

While these are not bad things and the coin functions fine. It just makes our maintenance period a bit longer.

We do apologize for the delay and the wallet is back online now.

Your words are universally recognised in the legal profession as pre-action protocol. Cryptsy should start getting some qualified legal advice as to exactly what that means if a court finds against them.  Wink

No reply , so that only leaves me Speculation.
Mullick, don't say I didn't warn you.

So until the zeit wallet is working, I shall only refer to them as craptsy, because their zeit wallet has been offline since Dec 18, 2014. On Feb 18th, that will be 2 months as least allcrypt closed their trading while they try and recover their zeit.
Craptsy now has 39 wallets offline for whatever excuse they want to use, one for over 6 months and it's trading is even still running.

By Craptsy allowing trading to occur when they have been unable to allow the buyer to receive his zeitcoins, is basically Fraud (a deception deliberately practiced in order to secure unfair or unlawful gain) , they are receiving commissions for an item that they are not allowing the buyer to receive.
Once regulations are in place for exchanges , the 1st one should be , IF the exchange is unable to deliver a cryptocoin within 1 week of request to receive it, they must stop all trading of that cryptocoin until they fullfill said requests.
For Craptsy that is currently 39 different coins, that they are perpetrating fraud by not allowing their coins to be received by the buyer.

@craptsy, if you keep wasting time by not getting the wallets working, how long do you think before some lawyer files a class action suit against you for failure to deliver their coins.
No matter how you argue about price , you are denying people of their property that they paid you for (price of coin will not matter), simple theft in other words , you have no position to stand on.
Serious quit the BS, and get the wallets working before 39 or more coin community join together and point out what you are really doing to the world. People won't use an exchange they know steals from their clients.

 Cool

Hi
Well said Kiklo. This has gone on far too long. Zeitcoin holders are losing POS interest on coins stranded on Cryptsy. If Cryptsy are minting POS interest from Zeitcoins held on their site, then that could be viewed as theft since that interest technically belongs to the deprived owners of the coins. I like your idea of contacting all affected altcoin holders to act together in unison on this.

There is a financial regulatory body in place in the United States whose remit includes agencies dealing with virtual currencies. It is the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). They are empowered by the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. We should stop pussy-footing about. Complaints against Cryptsy can be filed online:
http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

@craptsy ,

Feb 18th it will be 2 months, on the 19th , all wallet communities that are still offline will be contact about acting in unison and informing www.consumerfinance.gov about your outright fraud & theft of cryptocoins.
And if enough in the communities are willing maybe even direct legal action.

Time is running out. Do what is right and give everyone their coins.

It's always sad when well-intentioned users end up suffering because of low-quality leadership Sad

Kinda like America. Come on January 2017!! Hurry up and get here!!

And on another note. I won another 100,000 PND on usepnd.com! Methinks it's time to cash out the 125,000+ I have there currently and buy up some more Zeit! Gotta pump that 24 hour volume up!

It has already bombed.

Obvious P&D.

But was it a b'day inside job?

Most likely, Big hitters on their dev team left months ago.
Their fix of their coin when it locked up was not carried out well.
That is why they have an error "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old..." message? on their clients now.
Their current programmer is too busy for them.
They are in a serious mess, but most of their users are blind to these issues.

- not an affliction we are cursed with, thank the Cosmos.

(and you & Ray, of course Wink )

Mind you, I'm still a bit concerned about the further damage crapsy could inflict. That's the problem with centralised exchanges, no comeback if they go rogue.

- and you know I've not been a fan of crapsy since they shat on us back in May.

Hey, at least we were spared the MintPal disaster.

Has anyone seen MINTplosion?

https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/MINT_BTC

1.2 bil on cryptsy gone .. BTER too, Polo was slacking

Yep, some Large Market Manipulation at work for their 1 year birthday,
Started hitting the Mint Faucets so I can sell mint and buy Zeit.

http://www.thecoinmine.com/faucets/mint/

http://www.multifaucet.tk/index.php?faucet=MINT

Cause their Price drops like a bomb when the Manipulator runs out of BTC.

 Cool

Edit :
Beware of some of the ads that pop up from the faucet sites, that try to trick you by saying your pc is infected or has problems. If those type of ads pop up , CTRL ALT DEL and close your browser to get rid of them.
