I see that coming mate, ETH will be expensive for sure this year as many project will be updated and start to progress those tokens that uses ETH platform, so if you are thinking for such an investment then you can hold for long term, but if you are also aiming to grow in much quicker yet very risky ways then you can buy ICO which still in the pre sale then wait until it went to the exchange for sure your ETH holdings will grow when you succeeded choosing the right coin for you.

I would do the same. Holding of Ethereum is certainly beneficial, but buying some of the coins at low positions can give a better income. But now the opportunity has already been missed, the market of crypto-currencies has gone up

Whole crypto market is falling in price last days. Some people see it as a loose of money, but from my point of view I see this as another chance to gain some more. If we focuse at one coin. In this case I will choose @Viberate - VIB.
Ratio between Ethereum and VIB was circulating around 0.00047557 ETH per each VIB. At todays drop this ratio reach its bottom at 0.00027990 ETH per VIB and I think this is a great time to buy some more.

Now a very good "sale" of altcoins. You can buy very promising coins for a very good price. The main thing is to buy a few coins to increase the chances of success. 
I have seen so many alt coins that were cheaper and I was holding on to ETH thinking it will pave out. I wish i bought altcoins with it as that would got me some profits.

I was watching VERGE xvg recently when it was less than 1 cent. today it is 25 cents. I wish that I had invested in it when My gut instincts was for it.
Did not want to loose the only ether as i lost my Previous eth in Confido scam. Please advise.
You can use your 1 eth to buy some altcoins. Or try to invest in some ICO. But select coin that has potential in the future, good project, good core team. Like conducting research for those coins that is undervalued. Try that technique to double your eth. Learn how to diversify.

for now hold on to your ethereum first because as of this moment the price of all the altcoins are dropping because of the dip, so wait for the price to get back to normal then decide whether you hold it for long or invest with the other altcoin.
Everything is falling down, ETH has been down almost $300 and other altcoins too. The market is on a big correction now and if you can avail to buy some alts with that 1 ETH go ahead. But if I were you, I did bought some ETH now and that's a quite cheap price. Hold that 1 ETH you have and if it's possible to add some more, then add. Buy at the dip and when it's on the peak again just sell it or use it to purchase more alts.

Then you choose the right coin to place all your hopes, ethereum coins today is really blooming its value because there are a lot of people who are interested on investing in it and those consumers who are holding it today earns a lot of profit just like what happened to me. Ethereum coins already reached 1k dollar and it might grow just like bitcoins.
If you want to earn then you will have to take risks. Otherwise, big money does not work anywhere.If you do not learn to lose, and you do not take it easy, you will not earn much. Determine what is more important for you, earn a little, well, or all or nothing.

If you don't want to lose again as you became a victim of a scam before then you should stop investing to such ICO's and just hold your ETH for now. But the good thing today is every alt is bleeding so it's a discounted sale for almost all the alts there including ETH and bitcoin.
If I were you, I would still invest in young promising projects. They can give just huge growth. And even if only some of the investments turn out to be correct, then you will get a very good income.
I suggest that you are able to equally share between etherium and other altcoins.Because when one of your coins has decreased in price you still have great expectations for other coins to increase so you will not feel any loss at all.
