DirectBet- The way your system worked is that I placed an order at 17:45. Then you gave me a bitcoin address to send the money. I sent the money at 17:45. I hit check status of bet. It said no bet received as the odds may have changed.

I looked at my account the next day and you didn't return the funds. I sent a PM to you and you confirmed that I placed the order at 17:45. You then said that you accepted the wager 7 minutes later.

Problem with DirectBet. In game tennis.

Hi Peeps,

We have made a through investigation on your bets and determined that all your bets were processed properly and instantly as soon as they were received and according to our rules :

We received 3 bets from you on the game Raonic v Kyrgios.

The first 2 bets were received on 17:52 UTC.

One bet was 0.5 BTC on Nick Kyrgios and one bet was 1 BTC on Milos Raonic.

I'm not sure why you sent bets on two opposing players but that's what we received.

The first bet, 0.5 BTC on Nick Kyrgios - You ordered it at odds of 3.3 but by the time it was received the odds went up to 5.5 and so it was confirmed at odds of 5.5 :

http://www.directbet.eu/BetStatus.cshtml?BetID=1NxfC2C8pYxGtcZgnwmp4jdTeLXKA1DkvN

The second bet, 1 BTC on Milos Raonic - You ordered it at odds of 1.29 but by the time it was received the odds went down to 1.2 and since you selected the 'Firm Odds' betting option which instructs us to either confirm the bet at odds of 1.29 or higher, or otherwise reject it immediately. Therefore, and per your instruction, this bet was rejected and refunded :

Refund transaction ID # ce87be7239bf1c72a7d813958ab4eb8401bed43ffdb5c5b657bfa7f1d77dca6d

Finally, at 18:31 UTC we received a third bet from you, 0.5 BTC on Nick Kyrgios. You ordered it at odds of 8.8 but by the time it was received (a few seconds later) the odds went up to 9.2 and it was confirmed at odds of 9.2 :

http://www.directbet.eu/BetStatus.cshtml?BetID=15SH4fGmkfuyweq5ExoFUGCzZ75JMytZsC

The bet in question is the first bet. You ordered it on our website at 17:45 UTC. when the odds were 3.3 and sent 0.5 BTC for it. However, apparently the Bitcoin network broadcasted your transfer in a delay. We only received it 7 minutes later on 17:52 UTC and at that point it was processed and confirmed instantly at the current odds of 5.5.

It rarely happens but sometimes transfers are broadcasted on the Bitcoin network in a delay. This is not in our control and there is nothing we can do about it.

We have no way to tell whether your transfer arrived in a delay or whether you intentionally wanted to send it some time after you ordered it on our website. Some of our clients prefer to order the bet but send the amount they wish to bet later on while watching the game.

For this reason, we specifically state in our Rules page that if your bet transfer is delayed by the Bitcoin network or by your wallet or for any other reason, it will be processed as soon as it is received. Receiving time is defined by the time in which the transaction is recorded in our Bitcoin QT client as indicated by the time stamp in the transactions history. Under some rare circumstances this might be later than the time recorded on the block chain, as appears to have been the case here.

Following is a screen capture confirming the time in which your transfer was delivered to our wallet, which was 17:52. Your bet was confirmed instantly at that point.

I understand that in this particular case it has gone against your favor, as you ended up losing the bet, but in order for us to succeed in the long run we have to define rules and follow them consistently. It could have just been the other way around and you could have won this bet and got paid automatically at the completion of the event despite it having delivered in a short delay.

To summary, this bet was processed and confirmed according to our rules and at odds higher than you ordered. Had your bet won, it would have been paid out automatically at the completion of the event and you would have received a higher than expected payout.

Quote
What really doesn't make sense is that Directbet is telling me that I placed the bet at 3.3 odds and they accepted it 5.5 odds. I think that type of line change would be rejected.

No, your bet will confirm at odds equal to or better than ordered. We clearly explain this on our website :

Firm Odds

Select this option to instruct us to confirm your bet at the current available odds, if equal to or greater than the odds quoted when you ordered the bet. However, if by the time we received your bet transfer the odds have been reduced significantly, your bet will be rejected and refunded. It is not recommended to use this option when the odds fluctuate, as is the case when the event is in play or is about to start, especially when betting on the favorite.  To avoid rejections it is better to use Negotiate Odds instead.

Had you used the "Flexible Odds" betting option instead, as recommended, your bet would have confirmed (at lower odds) and you would have won it.

This is why “Deposit” books are much better: what you see is what you get, especially for In-Play betting. There are many BTC sportsbooks, who process withdrawals instantly – you will get your funds back much faster comparing to DirectBet. I don’t see any reasonable arguments to use DirectBet instead of Nitro for example.

DirectBet- I always use firm odds. I want to get the odds that I asked for when I place a bet.

Next time try the "Negotiate Odds" betting option instead.

The "Negotiate Odds" betting option is superior to the "Firm Odds". Now that we've improved it, there isn't really any need for the "Firm Odds" option anymore.

Lets say that the bet odds is 2 decimal and you are not willing to take it at lower odds.

The best way to take it is to place a "Negotiate Odds" bet and set the minimum odds to 2 (the current odds).

Now lets say that by the time we receive your bet transfer the odds reduces to 1.9.

"Firm Odds" operates as a kill or fill. If by the time we receive your bet transfer the odds reduces, as is the case in this example, your bet will be rejected and refunded and you will have to resend it.

On the other hand, using "Negotiate Odds" your bet will be placed on hold and we will wait for the odds to reach back your minimum odds of 2. This has several advantages :

First, in many cases when odds fluctuate, they will get back to the previous odds within a few seconds or minutes and we will be able to confirm your bet at the requested odds or better. Second, if you are willing to accept the bet at lower odds of 1.9 as in this example, you can change the minimum odds requirement and your bet will be confirmed instantly. You don't need to resend the Bitcoins all over again and risk another rejection because we already hold the bet stake in our system. Third, if you are not interested in chasing the odds you can cancel the unconfirmed negotiated odds and have it refunded immediately exactly as it is behaving with the "Firm Odds" option.

The "Negotiate Odds" betting option has another advantage in which it also lets you negotiate the bet stake in case you want to bet more than the maximum advised.

Quote
You accepted my bet 7 minutes after I placed the order and sent the BTC. This is unacceptable to anyone that bets live.

As I've explained in more details in my previous post, we don't hold bets under any circumstances, they are either confirmed , rejected or set into a negotiated state immediately, as soon as they are received.

Your first bet transfer was broadcasted to our wallet by the Bitcoin network in a 7 minutes delay and your second bet in a 3 minutes delay. Our automated betting system processed your bets instantly as soon as they were received. It was not technically possible to do it earlier because our wallet was not aware of your transfers prior to that.

Even if we hold bets, which we certainly don't, we wouldn't have gained any advantage by doing so. That's because your bets are always confirmed at the best available odds upon receipt, which reflects the true probability of the bet outcome.

To give an example from your case, when you ordered the bet on our website on 17:45, the odds were 3.3. When your bet transfer arrived 7 minutes later, the bet odds went up to 5.5 to reflect what was happening in the game, and your bet was confirmed at odds of 5.5.

For us, it doesn't matter if we confirm your bet at odds of 3.3 on 17:45, or at odds of 5.5 on 17:52. Our expected profit is the same in both cases. If at all, we prefer to confirm bets as quickly as possible to keep our clients satisfied, but sometimes (although rarely), the Bitcoin network is clogged and there isn't much we can do about it.

Can you please clarify :

Were you not aware that your first bet was confirmed and your second bet was rejected ? If not, when did you find out ?

Hey guys what's your views on betting with your btc? Do u like to just always keep your coins always in btc, do u switch over when u can to cash? I have many other books that are usd for this to choose from if I wanted my coins out of coins to bet with.

Yeah that's what i do, but what about the bitcoin books that accept btc and switch over to other currency like sbobitcoin? Do u know how much better prices to bet at those places versus btc books? Do u buy back into btc even at a loss with your winnings? It would make sense since u always get a better price on games.

Cloudbet | Best Bitcoin Gambling Site Since 2013
I used to be a big fan of Cloudbet.  The sportsbook generally covered the few sports I bet on.  80% of the time the deposits are instant and withdraws (again 75-80%) are lightning quick MOST of the time.  H

However I noticed leading up to major sporting events deposits are delayed for periods ranging from 5 minutes to 6-10 hours (3-4 extreme cases) Support seems to only work weekdays and daytime hours local to where they are.

The biggest problem, and my own fault/downfall was and is their "Casino" the live one is OK I guess.  A little gimmicky maybe, but the "virtual" one is a flat joke.  Odds are skewed to them so heavily at times (based on needs of cashflow for cashouts?) that it just eats your coins right up.

One small example of the dozens (i learn the hard way apparently) was a round of 25 or so hands of 3 card poker with them.  During those 25 hands they landed 3 straight flushes. 4 straights Ace high and a handful or more of incredibly ......ahem lucky hands..

I'm done throwing my money at them.

Hi toastedjelly,

Thanks for your message.

We have moved to a completely new in-house deposit processing system and although there were initially some teething issues, it has been running with stability for some weeks now. All deposits should be processed within a matter of seconds. Please can you send us details of any deposits you made that were delayed?

All of our casino games are audited and are vetted by a regulator. I am sorry that you have had an unlucky run and hope your luck turns around!

Please do let us know if you have any issues and thanks for your feedback.

Cheers,
Cloudbet

17:48 I place a bet. It's not accepted. It was a winner.

I PMed Directbet today and ask them for a refund on the 17:45 bet. They say that they received it at 17:52 and it's a loser.

They went back 7 minutes and accepted my loser but canceled my winner between that time period. They did refund the winner at 18:13 but not the loser.

At Cointeller.eu customers typically keep balances in BTC, but on request we can convert customer balances at any site in the Cointeller.eu network to USD.  Unless the customer has a strong objection we use the 24 hour weighted price at BitcoinAverage.com for conversion.

Feel free to stop by and talk to a live support rep if you have any questions!
