at 295GH/s I should be making 0.1256 BTC every 24 hours at the current difficulty, because you have changed your system around I am lucky to get 0.016xxx BTC every 24 hours. Your system doesn't work, instead if lines your pocket and rips off people like myself.

I didn't change anything.

I'm not sure how it rips you off and benefits me. Why exactly do you think so?

If I was paying consistently 12-13% of what other pools pay, do you really think people would use the pool?

Did the difficultly increase by 4 or 5 times in the last couple of days? I have seen my payouts go from 8 a day up until the 30th of December to 7 on the 31st, and only 3 today, it's 7:30PM EST where I am.

Variance will affect daily payouts. More info: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.2769824

I'm not sure what firmware version this Chili has specifically

I know this one!   Wink

It has 14e, which is the latest as far as I know.

Thanks! Smiley

Awesome, you are the first to test this. Smiley Looks like it is almost working, but it's hitting too many errors and failing before Chili-compatible mode kicks in. I will see if I can get this fixed for the next version. It should not require manual intervention to start mining.

I'm not sure if this helps or not but since I didn't take the time stamps I just want to make clear that all those errors and the eventually critical failure happened in the space of maybe 1 second. When the other Chilis arrive I'm planning to use them with the BitMinter client to so I'll update as needed next week probably Smiley

Might I suggest cloud hosting, depending on the nature of the current speific issue. Cloud hosting can help with specific data center server issues.

"Cloud hosting" is essentially just a synonym to "data center"...
W/e you wana call it or however you want to look at it... assuming this current issue is server specific and not he center as a whole. With cloud hosting, the pool would have already been mounted over a stable server and still be running.

Mining server unreachable at the moment. Other things than Bitminter are down at the same data center, so I believe it is a data center issue. I have contacted them about this and it is being worked on.

Apologies for the downtime.

I know shit happens and I livee with it so this isnt a complain, bu tfor rhte people with sticks up their ass. If whatever is wrong keeps happening, it will kill the pool inside of 60 days when a lot of the new equipment is out hat would help the pool.

Regarding the size of the shifts. Whether I make the shifts shorter or longer the payout is and will be quite fair. Over time your average payout is the same.

The choice between long and short shifts is an attempt to find a middle ground between two psychological reactions to mining.

Long shifts: it takes a long time to get paid for your work. Already there are new members on the pool mining for a couple hours and then complaining their payout is below what a mining calculator indicated as average. If I make the shifts longer this will get worse as you will get smaller payments for a longer period of time for the same work.

Short shifts: the shorter the shifts the faster the payouts, which is nice. But it also increases the chance of a shift getting zero payment. The average income isn't affected, but many users get a bad feeling that their work was for nothing.

The way the shifts are now I get only a few complaints of each type, which tells me the shift size isn't all that bad.

At which point I stopped the device, started it again, and it has been hashing since. I'm not sure what firmware version this Chili has specifically but as far as I can tell Bitminter was able to sort it out. Or the old restart method worked wonders Smiley Thanks Dr H!

I can't stay on again, bouncing to backup.... stratum, might be getting filtered IP changed again.

I didn't notice any attacks today. Maybe this is something else, or there was a small attack that I missed. Any error message?
