Any thoughts on some coins for short term profit ?
Take a look at the current situation with the spontaneous XRP trend. It's easy to make a profit. Large ledger processes always require XRP solutions and the timely release of Xrapid and good news around it. The public has more confidence in it. Take advantage of this, embed the money into the XRP at the right time. and you just wait to enjoy Buy Bitcoin and Ethereum. These currencies have confidently taken their position in the market. They seem to have already passed. They have strengthened and very soon the value of these cryptocurrencies is expected to increase.
I have no doubt on btc and eth that we can make profit in time once price increase. Both are profitable and also many who holds this coins for long time now. So I am also one of those who hold btc and eth and these are good to buy. 
If I have $ 1200 then I will divide it into several types, namely buying bitcoin (30%), ethereum (30%) and the rest to invest ICO, of course a good ICO and has reached the softcap so it is safer.
I think the percentage distribution is right, but isn't it better for Bitcoin 40%, eth 30% and the rest for ico 30%, because for ICOs it is still a risky investment so I think it's better to use a small percentage for investment.

there are so many coins that have good potential by the end of 2018, even bitcooin and ethereum are still the best choice for you to make an investment, you should buy both with 70% percentage for bitcoin and 30% for ethereum.

A good win in what situation can you earn if you do it right, all the elections to be fair and adequate and glavnoe do everything with the slightest risk to yourself, what would it did not materialize.
I think you should invest in Bitcoin. New investors should only invest in bitcoin. I think Bitcoin is the safest of all the current coins. because it always has a great power behind. These are manipulative organizations, large enterprises holding many bitcoins. So investing in Bitcoin will not be risky.
$1200 now is one of the big amounts of money. now we can see a lot of potential coins like eos, eth and neo. choose one of the potential coins and also have the maximum price so that your investment gives profit.
When the market is dropping like now, dividing money in many places is important, and I think with $ 1200 I will buy some altcoins which I think will skyrocket, some of the altcoins are: ethereum, Waves, Nano, Robotina, Monaco Card and EOS .

If I were you, I would invest in top altcoyins and expect the growth of x10. It's a minimum. I think that the probability of this is great
Investing in the top tokens is a very good idea but expecting that they can grow in 10 times seems to be something which is very naive. Usually, the cheapest alts grow so much.
I'm not here to give any advice on one or another coin, but just keep in mind not to put all your eggs into one basket. Buy minimum 4-5 different coins/tokens to lower the variance.
