If I'm holding $12000 when I'm investing 50% in bitcoin, 25% ETH and 25% other cryptocurrency like as TRF, TIO, OMG and LTC. I thing that is necessary to make long term investment in these cryptocurrency.

I know about a potential altcoin, but it is also risky. I have observed a lot about GVT. It is a good altcoin although it does not attract many investors to participate in the project when putting up on the trading platform it is great when it goes up quickly. And it is less affected by the risks from the market when it goes down.

Bitcoin Cash is a Good coin too and if I have that huge amount to invest on Crypto then I will choose to invest Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, NEO and Ripple.
I would love to see how they grow and watch my investment returns.
I am a Hodler so I do believe whatever coin I get and invested then surely I would get higher profits and higher rewards in due time, probably after a couple of years.

For a newbie i would start with bases: bitcoin and ethereum. Many people consider litecoin pretty secure as well. But there is no custom sceme for investing in this sphere, you never know where you may gain or lose.

Wow this is the good one in terms of the comments I had read so far. Very safe bet indeed. I will not waste my time on the other coins. Though I would say Cardano is also my safe bet and NEO though I will not go all in on these coins.

Go for Etherium and Bitcoin . 50% on Bitcoin and 50% on Ethereum being first and second biggest crypto currency this shows how much potential and how much they will make your investment bigger and grower . They also dominate crypto currency world even though they price falls down rapidly it does nor mean they will not going to rise again they are the faces of crypto currency so they have a big chance to make you expectation satisfied.
