It depends on how long you plan. I think that the etherium will grow more by the end of the year, because now its price is too understated. But the etherium has a threshold of growth, since it is a utility token. Bitcoin will grow smoothly over the next few years

you must answer some question before buying this coins:
1- are you newbie or no?
2- are you holder or you are trader?
3- do you have strategy or no?
if you are newbie, i suggest you buy only BTC and also if you are holder buy BTC, if you are professional trader, you know that you must invest on BTC about 50-70% of your money. and trade with other 30-50%. also if you are holder for long term for example for the end of 2019 suggest you to buy ETH.
I think this answer is the best one out of many and I have the same opinion to be honest. You can invest partly in BTC and partly in ETH or other coins.
As I think you have to be a trader or buy to keep and in my opinion keep 60% Bitcoin and 40% ETH

To me, I will like to hold the two. Split my holdings into two equal part, stay in Btc half, stay in ETH half as well. It is better that way. At this point, ETH has more tendency to double in price and even Btc but staying in the two is just lit and it will help you ride the two as well.
In my point of views, I would say that ETH since you can you use it for ICO round and make it up multiple times in uptrend market. Then the profit will increase as follow. Also BTC is also good when you want to cash out in the end.

Surely ETH is much better to hold. If even it returns to 1200 or 1600USD so you will have 3-4X's. But if you invest your ETH to good promissing ICO project so you will get more profit.In my opinion for long term it's better to invest to good promissing ICO project. I'll probably split it into 50/50. Or go to 60/40 with bias on eth since it has outpaced btc since it's inception.
if I alone must have 150 ETH. because I'm sure to be long-term invested then the profit we'll get is huge from 9.5 btc in the long run as well
