Ethereum has a huge capitalization, this coin is very difficult to grow in price independently. We need to wait for the global growth of the crypto-currency market.

I would divide the amount for investment in both btc and eth, I can not imagine which of them will grow larger

I think this year btc is winner because just look how dominating btc is, 48% right now and its increasing every day.
best bet is to avoid both right now. The market for both coins is so bad.
I think it is better to buy BTC for 60-70%.And the rest of ETH and other altcoins.
