If you be given a gift of 1BTC by someone and for you this amount is already something you did not expect. Will you sell your bitcoin right away and convert it into cash or just keep it for a better price to come or invest it or what?
Wow. Having 1 bitcoin in the current time for just a gift is really awesome and shocking because can you just imagine what is the bitcoin price rate now? Having such great count for a gift makes you a very blessed person because someone has given you a great gift to have. If I were on that scenario, I will surely keep it, save it and hold it because bitcoin has a great potential to grow.

What? Couldn't imagine having that one but that's really a very cool gift or token to have from someone. I will gladly keep it in my wallet and wait for the proper time to cash it out.

You can actually split the btc into 2 half. If you are not good or familiar with trading then you can keep 0.5 btc as a investment in btc itself and rest 0.5 btc you can buy some couple of good altcoins. And then whenever you wish to convert back to btc you can do it and buy back btc again and cash it out. In this way you may get better returns as altcoins may rise quickly.

If someone gives me 1 BTC, I will instantly redeem it and use it for my purposes. But I do not think that will happen, because everyone must have their own needs. So I tried to get 1 BTC with my own ability and hard work. I'm not the type of person who expects something that will never happen.
Hmmm. .... it is true, I don't think there will be people who give away free 1 btc them. If ever there was a just a few percent only. because each person will surely use it to fullfill the needs of their own. you better put together its own btc with exertion alone then you will feel satisfied. so don't ever expect anything that it is not possible or will not happen because that is something impossible.

If 1 bitcoin is worth on today's peaked of 5000 I will surely exchange half of it to our local currency and cash it out.. I really need cashed at this particular moment.. So the remaining 0.5 will be breakdown 0.25 to holding in my wallet and other 0.25 will be exchanged to top three altcoin that is promising and worth to invest with.. Lastly it's better late than never,, I will thank the one who give me those and promised to be given him the same amount on profits in the future..

I convert 0.3BTC into ether. And keep this for 6 months as a long term trade.

I hold 0.3BTC in my wallet. I never cash it out before $10k clearly.

I use 0.4BTC on day trading, this would generate me some income every week.

0.4 BTC isn't nearly enough to day trade and to be able to make a living off of. I personally would never day trade, especially to support myself fully without a day job, with less than $10,000. Even that is risky, it's hard to make a return as small as 1% a day as stable income these days, especially with bitcoin and eth climbing slowly, but falling so fast.

If I will be able to accept that kind of amount, I will be surely get into shock because it already cost too much for just a gift. I will surely hold and save it for better because I know its potential of growing and since I do not have anything to spend it with, I will just save it and wait for a moment that will trigger me to sell it or exchange it into a real money.

Lol, I would most surely hold 0.5 bitcoin and invest 0.5 bitcoin in some good and solid projects, 0.1 bitcoin per altcoin, I would look back in 2 years and most surely it will be a huge profit and than I can do something with the money, I see alot of people talking about trips with 0.05 btc or 0.2 bitcoin ? where the heck do you guys live man but here it is not easy going on a trip with such a small amount of money, if that would be true I would go few times a year on a trip with 0.1 bitcoin man

For me, if I have such gift of bitcoin, I will split it into 3. Then, keep one part in my wallet, start trading with the second part and reinvest the third part on buying other promising cryptos.

Dont expect that someone will give you 1 bitcoin. It will never happen. and if it does, I will sell my bitcoin to buy what I need to buy. It is a gift, not an investment. Therefore, we need to use it as a gift in order to make the one who send us 1 bitcoin happy. I will only hold my bitcoin which I buy from my own money

IT will depend on whether you know the technology or not. For example you give 1 BTC your newly wed friend and he searched about it, became astonished with the price and cashed it out right away. While if you know the technology of course you will hold it because it is a very good investment.

Stupid question. Why do people dream about to get undeserved money? You'd better dreamed to find a job that will generate enough bitcoins to get the best education in the world. This is the approach I understand.

It's not bad to dream, especially when the question is testing how discipline you are. (will you sell now or wait). Some answers here are direct cashing it out but some are cash and take it with percentage.
BUt for me I will hold it.
Everyone deserve a BTC if someone really closed gave it to you. For example your childhood friend is getting wed and you're rich enough. Why not gave him something worth it. An investment for a lifetime.

I think to get/give the bitcoin is better option for us to make money because the value of the money that you got in bitcoin is going increasing and also you can use them for the investment also and also for thr trading .
If i will got bitcoin in gift then surely I will never Cash out atleast for 5 years because I know very well that how the demand of the bitcoin is going increasing and also  we can start the bitcoin only trading business with bitcoin .
Here my suggestion for you to invest in a better coin like atc , sia coin , bch for long term , eth .
If you will invest in such coins then i am 99.99% sure that you will not only will make money but also you will make gain the increase in the amount of the bitcoin that you have Wink
So don't cash out all anr use for the multiple ways of investment in other other forms , and use the Better use of your money for the better future .

I'd be overwhelmed, who would care enough for me to give me that much money? xD
I think I'd save them, and hopefully they'll grow and I'll be rich! But since I really like spending money I don't know if I could manage that.

better sell it immediately it is a gift that I should eat all , if invested or sold later there can be a reduction or excess , stay preferred to share again with friends or relatives who are more in need .

Is that even a question to ask? Seriously why will anyone sell bitcoin unless and until its an emergency like if the price hits a milestone like 5000$ or something or better. I will not sell my bitcoin for cash if some one gifts me 1 bitcoin ,I definitely won't for sure. Investing and getting a bigger profit seems to be a good idea,so yes I'll go for it.

Right now we are in a bubble. I hate to say it, but I would probably cash it out and wait until after the crash and rebuy back in again.

Well, if it is a gift, I will spend all those 1 bitcoin for many purposes. I already own some bitcoin in my wallets which I do not want to convert them to money at all. Therefore, if I ever had 1 bitcoin as a gift, I would spend it on anything that I like instead of waiting for a few more months Cheesy Spending sometimes is very good

I would deffinetly sell it and buy some altcoins, because i see much more potential for altcoins, than for bitcoin Smiley

I do not think the potential of altcoin is greater than bitcoin. But I agree when you say that we can make more profit than altcoin. I think there are many people do not understand this.

If I'd be given 1BTC as a gift I would hold half of it and wait for it to profit and then the other half would be divided into 4 and would invest them in other coins or token that may increase its value around 4-5 years. I would prefer to invest in longer term ratjer than short term so I won't regret my decision.
