I would invest equal parts in both cryptocurrencies,especially now when the prices are so cheap.Both project have great teams of devs and I believe these two coins have great future.
I'd choose Ripple
2000 Ripple= 2000x0.465=930
5000 cardano= 5000x0.134=670
Than I can exchange that back to cardano.
Back to the subject, still cardano is a better investment than ripple because cardano has still to start.
After their successful launch, this coin is going to be huge.

I would choose Cardano now, I really like their project. I expect this coin to grow 2-4 times during the half year.

Ripple is heavily over-priced in my opinion, and its future potential looks limited. On the other hand, there is a lot of scope for further improvisation in the price and adoption of Cardano. So I would go for Cardano over XRP at any point of the day.
You can't really go wrong with either you choose as they're both top 10 assets but it helps to diversify your investment so purchasing both would be recommended

if i were you i will split my investment to this two coin because this two project has very big potential to grow unlike other project that only focus on pumping and dumping the price

IMO, I think you should keep 5000 Cardano and give your friends a 2000 Ripple. At the moment, Ripple is more potential than Cardano, but in the future I see Cardano as a project that will explode because its smart contract technology will explode in the future, surpassing all other cryptos. So you should keep 5000 Cardano for the future.
I guess, if it's just for a friend's birthday present, you do not have to over deliver it with that much coin. It would be better if you reduce it. And give half of the ADA you have. Because I see both coins have a good potential to achieve a high price. So with you, it gives little ADA. You will still have the remaining coins from the ADA and Ripple you hold. So you can benefit from both coins.
better to 5000 Cardano compare with 2000 XRP because Cardano is good project and coming days have update hence price will reach to high and XRP is more coins under bankers and its price graph very bad so better is Cardano

I would do so sell 50% Ripple and sell 50%ADA and buy Bitcoin, if it is important to make a birthday gift, it would be more interesting to choose bitcoin, it is more popular.
it would be better if you gave some of it. you say have 2000 ripple and 3000 cardano. you can give him 1000 ripples and 1500 cardano. so you are not confused choosing where to birthday gift. because you have given away some of your crypto currency.

Seeing market chart of that two coins, I've preferred to invest with ada as it have a progressive market trend than of Ripple. Ripple is totally in dip for many weeks and it hardly recovering on it, and I'm losing already from these.
ahaha nice dilemma , why not to do both ? half / half....both are really bullish to be honest.. in short term / long term
