I think both have great future, however in real life use Ripple is way ahead of ADA, everything you see in ADA just a whitepaper plan for future, they haven't done anything special for the hype they created a few months ago, another hand Ripple is the real deal.
I still believe in ripples rather than cardanao, though the ripple now has a low price and a not-insignificant increase but the ripple has a good future and also been in a high position some time ago.
I advise you to divide the investment between coins. I think this is the best choice.
I would prefer Cardano, I think this project has a great future. He has many investors in Japan, it is a reliable investment.
Holding 2000 Ripple makes more sense because Ripple can give you better returns compared to Cardano. Ripple is backed by a huge company and they are able to find a lot of USE cases for it. Cardano ranks 7 on coinmarketcap and is behind xrp in terms of total market cap and daily volume.
If I were you, i would keep some amount in ripple and invest the remaining amount in IOSToken since its price has been increasing a lot lately.

It seems to me that ADS is more promising than a coin. But in order to get the maximum profit you need to keep this coin for several months and maybe even years.

Cardano is far better than Ripple. Ripple is not a bad coin but I don't want to use it for its centralized system or behavior. I like Cardano doesn't mean I'm ignoring the potential of Ripple. Many people got success and it's a promising project.

Of course Ripple has some flaws. I mean first of all that this currency is too centralized and rely under control of its managers. But this is not a reason to prefer Cardano. No way. If this is the only possible choice I would turn to Ripple.
Depends how much you like your friend. If it's not so much then give him BCC

While both are good, ADA is gonna be more rewarding with staking. Might wanna keep an eye on it.
