I suggest 5000 cardano, because ripple price increase is already very high
in my opinion they are both very very risky. So i would go for maybe 700 xrp and invest the rest into some promising icos. This way you have an huge potential for some serious gains
Cardano all the way. Ripple could become obsolete when Wanchain shows its claws. On the other hand, in my opinion Cardano is still over-valuated at this point, of course not as much as at the ATH but still.
I think cardano price is cheaper than ripple, if you invest the same capital it will get more coins if we buy it on cardano. and chances are we'll get a bog profit as well
I would choose Ripple. Since Ripple has the strongest team to promote its product. I believe that this coin will grow 2-3 times this year.

5000 cardano and hold to 2020
I think if i have a particular amount of money and i have two options like ripple or cardano then i will invest diversify. like invest 50% in ripple and 50% in cardano. By this if one will go up and second will go down then also my average will remain good.
Diversification is key in crypto investments or for that matter any investment. Hence keep 50% of each, Ripple and Cardano, this way it will be beneficial for both of you.
I prefer you buy both. 50% for ADA and 50% for XRP. In that way, you can gain on both coin when it pumped.

Keep Cardano, this is one of the top projects with huge potential, decentralized and developed by talanted team. You definetily advise you to hold ADA for long term
i think ripple is a rubbish coin but how no what the future hide try to deversify your portfolio and good luck with your investment brother this is crypto

I think you should keep Ripple. This coin has a good future.

It is better not to risk and invest in ETH. But if you choose between these coins, then I do not advise investing in Ripple.
Of course, it's better to invest in Cardano. This is a more promising coin than Ripple.
I always prefer diversification. So in your case I would make an equally weighted portfolio, dividing 50% of the budget on Ripple and 50% on Cardano, as both currencies looks promising for long term investments.
