I know it has happened before, but a Bitcoin price of 1000 $ would probably mean that fiat money is somewhat in danger.

Hope so. I want to see again the $1000 price and hoping btc xt will gone forever coz it really hurts the price.
i hope i can sell to 1000$ too
i start earning bitcoin  at price 500$

now im save some of my earning for future

Who doesn't want to be 1,000$ price of bitcoin, that would be brilliant, if you have large amount of bitcoin then these days price makes you loose more than 50% if you sell now. Let's keep until 1k$ Smiley

I hope what you are saying is correct and come to pass in 2016. but it feels likely too. if we can get past the disaster that bitcoin XT is creating right now, I think rising will become possible.

What if the rise this time doesn't stop at 1000 and it doubles the ATH and you miss on another 1000 of gains? I don't understand this mentality of selling at round numbers. Sure most likely we will see a correction at 1000, but once we get past 1000 again the psychological barrier is broken twice and then there's no limit, we are in known territory and people will freak out in panic buying frenzy. You are all advised.

I agree with you
I think 2016 is bitcoin will really be recognized in some countries if the price has not changed much and bitcoin will be known among the public, especially businessmen

The bear market has lasted long enough. I predict 2016 is the year where bitcoin finally breaks through, both in price and in mainstream adoption.

People say this every year. If it was to break into the mainstream it wont be next year. Maybe in 3-5 years but not any time soon. Bitcoin has been moving very slow for over a year now and unless some massive corporation or industry gets on board it'll probably be another slow year.

If we bypass the BitcoinXT crap and war then yes probably 2016 will be the year of bitcoin , if we don't it may kill Bitcoin instead of making it mainstream  , Halving block reward should give the price a boost aswell on July .
But as I said the huge problem is on the BitcoinXT it makes people and make investors stay away from it and this could preventt us from going Mainstream .

I hope so, it can't be any worse than this can it? Gemini should open for trading & the halving is next summer so we have hope. It's been soul destroying for the last 18 months, literally awful.

The bear market has lasted long enough. I predict 2016 is the year where bitcoin finally breaks through, both in price and in mainstream adoption.

The fork issue is a distraction. It won't kill bitcoin. The majority will eventually choose what fork they want to use, whether it is the original, or XT, or some third option.

I see the fork issue as silly infighting which only hurts bitcoin. I want bitcoin to succeed, that's what I care about, not what version of BTC I use. I will go with the majority, whichever fork is chosen.

i totally agree with all three statements. bitcoin XT is a debate which turned into a harmful argument for bitcoin but it will be resolved eventually and it definitely won't kill bitcoin!!
and as for 2016 i think especially because of the halving and an stable market ($220-260 for a long time) this year it will start going up.

I hope what you predict is correct. I do hope to see Bitcoin being mainstreamed.

I agree. I will go with the majority since the original and the XT version is somewhat similar. I will have to consider if there's another forks.
