I think its the worst year for altcoin at this current state. The year kicked off with good springs and alts bloomed well around January. Currently we are all getting reck. Market situation is the worst i have sen so far. Markets don't even respect TA and FA this time around. Though the year is still much ahead of us. Keeping fingers crossed and hoping for the best this year. Time will tell.

i dun think ripple is a good example. given the number of coins that's popped up or are gonna pop up over the past 2 mths, I think the competition btw coins in related spaces are really starting to heat up. Survival of the fittest!

Yes 2018 seems like a good year for ALTCOIN , the reason is that ALTCOIN has gain more attention and is still gaining more and more attention. Just like 2017 when Chinese government came up with the issue of banning and regulating that issues made ALTCOIN very popular at the end the prices of cryptocurrencies skyrocketed. Also this year ALTCOIN has gain the attention of many lawmakers around the world making it more popular than ever. So,at the end all these are sure to produce a positive at will move the prices.

If you are just referring to ripple, then it would not be about altcoins then. But still, generally, altcoins will be doing great this year since moat of the countries are now accepting companies that conduct ICOs, without getting in trouble with SEC.

With what is happening in this first quarter, I really hope that altcoins can replicate last year growth. 2018 is a year many government bodies are looking into crypto regulations so we might be seeing many erratic movement in the price of altcoins.

There has been many good altcoins out there, and there will be more and more ICOs month by month.
I am sure some of these projects will become really big in 2018.

I think more and more people are interested in other blockchain projects aside from bitcoin.
