India vs England final

True.

England will win it.

It looks very likely. England is in top form right now, and I expect them to defeat Australia. And during the group stages, England was the only team that was able to beat India. Against England, India has around 50% chance of a win. Against any other opponent, they have more than 50%. That said, I personally want England to win. They have never won the CWC till now.

What a day it was where first batting NZ was too slow it seems as they were just playing for singles rather than looking aggressive and score some runs which was lacking from them today. Now first semi finals itself is rain effected and tomorrow we will see the second innings of the match.

May be NZ captain understood this pitch and they might had decided around 250 runs may be a good score to win this game. If they score around 10 runs per over they can reach around 250 runs and if they bowl well may be they can try their luck. If outer boundry is fully wet then Indian batsman can't hit many fours instead they also need to rotate strick and get ones and twos to win this game or go of sixes.

Yes, NZ should have started agressive batting atleast after 35 overs but now it is already too late.

The rain came at a bad time for New Zealand as they just started to get going after a slow start to the match, it will be interesting to see what happens on Wednesday as New Zealand need at least another 50+ runs to set a decent sized target for India to chase. If the rain sticks around it could make things very interesting.

Not really, Kiwis were lucky yesterday because momentum was with the Indian team, Indian bowlers were bowling exceptionally except Chahal's one over where he gave away around 18 runs. we should not forget that Rain came after 46 over and Bhuvi and Bumarah had their 2-2 overs left. i highly doubt that kiwis could slog against them and get 50+ runs in just 24 balls.

And who the fuck you are to decide that? Jesus Christ? There's a difference between predicting and illogical conclusion.

It appears to me that you don't remember how the Indian team performed against English team last year and of course who can forget playoff match. Having said that if India and England face each other in finals then my money on the Indian team.

The rain has played a huge part in this World Cup and it continues to do so but lucky this time the ICC have a reserve day in case of rain so hopefully we will get a result from this semi-final. 50+ is not a decent size score for a team who's players scored 2 100's one after other in the last matches. I don't religiously follow cricket but keep a keen interest in the World Cup games. It's an easy target for any team to achieve.

Manchester Stadium in rain  Wink  Is it ?

Really LOL!!!

I just have seen that the match is suspended due to rain and the match will resume on 10th July. The NZ score is 211/5 in 46.1 overs. The score is not good as in a semi-final. If the score will go higher 300 more then we will can see a fighting match. But in this lower score ( suspecting 240-250 runs) is very to India and India will win the match easily I think. Let's pray for the next day that rain will not come again.

India started really well and the disappointing tournament of Martil Guptil continues as he lost his wicket after facing more than 2 tentative minutes in the crease, it all depends upon how Williamson plays today and he is the trump card to know how much New Zealand is going to post today and can trouble the Indian top order. If they could not post a good total India will chase them easily as they have youth and experience in their key players.

Considering the pitch it's not a bad performance from New Zealand. Ross Taylor did a good job sticking to the wicket. Now everything lies on how Kiwis could bowl and field. India has been consistent on both batting and bowling. IMO This is going to be a competitive match till the last overs.

As rain has stopped the play, it's highly likely that DL method be introduced which would significantly reduce the target for India and give a clear advantage to them. They'll be able to win scoring less than what New Zealand did. So, they don't really have to worry about the pitch.

If it's reduce to 20 overs match target will be 148, and if it's reduce to 25 overs match target will be 172. It won't be easy at all if that much overs reduce.

Better they don't come to play today and resume tomorrow so match will continue from where it's stopped.

Small correction, Don't know you remember or not but the Pakistani team played 5 ODI and 1 T20 against the English team in England, just before the World cup. They were literally camping there.

Oh... my bad... Yes... Pakistan was there in England since April 2019. Somehow forgot that. And if I am not wrong, Sri Lanka also played a few matches in Ireland and Scotland before the world cup. That means that India was the only South Asian nation that didn't had sufficient preparation. So it looks like failing to acclimatize was not one of the reasons.

The match results can be predicted now, India wins (IND vs NZ) and Australia wins (AUS vs ENG) in semis.

Final INDIA vs AUSTRALIA - Champion INDIA!  Sad
Just hope ENG and NZ will do some magic play.
I see England in the finals and nothing is clear cut as England has a better team than Australia and it all depends upon how Indian top order can bat against the New Zealand bowlers and if the bowlers can dominate and take wickets and then we might see England and New Zealand in the finals and that is what i am expecting, i will go for England to win the match against Australia and New Zealand to come out on top against a weak middle order of India.

This is why I said before the start of the tournament that teams from South Asia  should arrive in England at least two weeks prior to the start, and get themselves acclimatized to the conditions. Bangladesh was the only Asian team which did that, and the impact was evident from the first round of matches. That said, both India and Pakistan fought well after the initial setbacks.

Looks like the New Zealand vs India semi-final is going to be an one sided affair. The former have been playing horribly for the past 3-4 matches and I don't think that they have much of a chance against a strong Indian lineup. On the other hand, the other semi-final will be a closely fought one. Both Australia and England have almost equal chances of winning.
In this world cup I have seen so much rise and fall we know India is good team to play, Zealand will also play good so we can say India will play well, so let’s see what happen, according me match wittedness and England will also show good performance, this world cup went interesting but I felt bad when Pakistan did not reach semi final.

Pakistan did not reached in semi final just because of 1 match against West Indies, they all out 105 against West Indies, and after that they were never recovered from that negative net run rates.
