It's really looking like NBA will be another boring season if this is how it goes. Some teams have a huge cap problem, but they do not care and pay the luxury tax thanks to rich owners, and some teams do not even try to win, they just give up before the season starts.

So, we are going to watch maybe like 2-3 teams to win, and we are going to see the rest to be either tanking, or trying to stay in playoff spot, but not even have a contending chance. That's not going to cut it anymore, this needs to change, it has been like this nearly for 10 years, we really need teams that could rival each other, not move away from each other, it really sucks this way.

Playing like KD will be too much of an ask for the young guy. First, they play a totally different position. Second, you need to have extreme handling skills to be able to reach KD's level. They may be near in height, but KD is a totally different beast. He already improved a lot based on his recent games. He is not sluggish anymore and has better positioning under the ring. Another year of experience and we may see an NBA level of skills on Kai if he does not stop training and improving his game. The body that he needs will naturally follow if he continues to improve and mature.
Let's only think of that once Kai gets to the NBA, he was not even drafted yet, so our expectation is too much. The good thing with him is that he keeps improving, if he will become a superstar in the NBL, that's where he will get a good chance to be in the NBA.
Still far in my opinion, unless he will show big improvement and he will gain more minutes than what he's getting right now.

Kai's mindset will bring him to his dream career. I agree that he's not stopping, and he keeps trying motivating himself to reach
that dream.

Only time can predict how Kai will become in the near future. For now, he needs to keep on pushing and try to learn more with
each experience that he's gaining from every different league that he is playing.

Kai Sotto is a kid who has really good potential. But he seriously needs to put on some muscles. Because if he does not he will be more prone to injury. I really don't want him to break any bombs at this stage of his career. But he is a really hard-working player. It is hard to find young players who are really hard-working even though they have talent. Sometimes young players take it easy because they have good talent. But he is not someone like that. If he can keep performing like this and push himself to perform better, he is really going to be one of the best in the world in my opinion. But probably it is too soon to predict that.

But right now the main priority should be putting on some weight and muscles for himself. Otherwise, he can easily get injured. Just looking at him now it feels like if he has a bad fall he might break a bone.

Looks like the NBA is back on cable TV. There are two games on tonight in TNT, but the only team I’m really interested in seeing is the Pelicans. Zion may get to play basketball for the first time in quite a while tonight (crosses fingers). Hopefully he gets some minutes and gives us a highlight or two with his new look after his weight loss.

I also love how Sotto played, he scored a double-digit and was effective on the court.

He is given some minutes now unlike his first year on the team. And it is good that he is showing up and not wasting the opportunity to show his talent with the minutes the coach has given him. I hope he continues his good performance since NBL has started its regular season as well.

He is still young, his NBA dream is not over yet.

As long as he continues to play, he will continue to learn and eventually improve, and maybe a few years from now we will see him as the first pure-blooded Filipino in the NBA. He got the height, he can shoot outside, what's lacking in him is his maturity and which can be earned through experience, also, he needs to grow his body.

If we speak on chances, Kai Sotto's chances have improved and that specific game versus the Suns is good for him as well as the rest of the roster to showcase their skills in the NBA. They still have much time left to achieve their dreams, they should just enjoy their situation at their own pace for now because rushing things up will keep the player raw and will just be wasted if he will be drafted much sooner. Although I cannot help but to laugh that some people actually believed that the Suns was bullied by an amateur league.

Kai Sotto is still in his 20 years of age and surely he needs to build up muscles for other teams to notice him that much this he is bulkier than Golden State's Patrick Baldwin jr. and I think if he could acquire faster momentum and get used to his surrounding he can surely play like Kevin Durant in my opinion, and I think my boy Kai Sotto will surely improve so much because he still has a lot of ceiling to fit up too,

Adelaide 36ers won against the Phoenix Suns in their first preseason.
Wow! Craig Randall II scored an enormous 35 points showing some great skills to the crowd.

What a shame for a title contender to be defeated on that match but this will be good to their organization to know their lapses because having that bad run together with team outside NBA is needed to be correct by their management.

There is nothing to be ashamed of. It is only a preseason game. At most, it is just a warm-up and to see how the new members of the roster will play and iron kinks in their play before the regular season starts.

Exactly, it's not a serious one, it's just an exhibition game.

I also love how Sotto played, he scored a double-digit and was effective on the court.
Well, actually 39ers played with good teamwork compared to the Sun, so they deserved that win, but then again, it's just preseason, not a serious game.

Indeed, mate! The 36ers might have lost the game if the Suns will go all-out as they are capable to do that if they wanted to. The highlights of that game are knowing who are the future NBA players from the 36ers, and I believe that game somehow made the scouts quite curious and interested.

Just like the game today, Sacramento Kings vs Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers could've destroyed the Kings if they wanted to do it but that defeats the purpose of the pre-season games.

I liked the Brooklyn Nets last night, they played well, but they lost:(
No problem, it was the first game for them.

Our guy Furkan Korkmaz played well last night. I hope he always plays with this performance.

Brooklyn Nets starting to look like a fun team to watch again.
The first five are Irving, Durant, Claxton, Simmons, and Harris. I am just glad to see them all back and healthy again. Harris is feeling it who made 2 threes in 15 minutes.
Simmons defensive help can be seen and Irving being a playmaker will be a game changer for them.
The 2nd team looks solid too with Patty Mills, Edwards, Morris, Royce O'Neale, and Sumner. Seth Curry didn't play yet.
A win for the 76ers without Harden and Embiid. Their roleplayers are pretty solid too.

I'm glad that we are finally seeing a healthy and complete Brooklyn Nets in the opening season. I am not a fan of Kyrie and Simmons anymore but I love this season to be more competitive, I want all the teams to possibly compete well so I like what I am seeing with the Nets. Kyrie should understand that the world doesn't revolve around him. The Nets would be a serious contender if they can set all their egos aside and work on their chemistry. I want to see KD's remaining NBA years fruitful even if doesn't mean a title rather than staying in a mediocre team.

I was impressed when they rally in the 2nd quarter. That huge run came from everyone inside the court.

They are sharing the ball and they really moving it well; I like to see more with Claxton. He's a versatile player who can really
contribute, with a healthy KD and Kyrie I can assume that they are going to be good in this season, no more dramas but just
Playing a good ball system that will keep them intact as a team. So far, so good even they lost against the sixers without Embiid and Harden. They just give a glimpse of how they might form a solid squad in the regular season.

So far so good, that's correct.
We are not expecting much because this is the preseason but they are showing good teamwork on the court. Ben Simmons looks like he is having some fun too and it will be a good sign for them.
I think Kyrie Irving will be handling the plays and if it does work, they should stick with it.
Don't confuse the team by switching from one ball handler to another. Kyrie can do isolation plays and score by himself which will work a lot of times if he is doing a hesitation move unlike if they let Ben handle the ball.

I haven't seen the game yet, but based on what you are saying it seems that the Nets is blending well with Simmons and Harris back in the line up.

And it's a good gauge to be honest, just like the Lakers last year, we keep on denying that everything look fine but going the pre-season game, there is a obvious sign that something is not right specially with the addition of WB and Carmelo Anthony. So I will say that we should look for the Nets this season.

Well, some might still think that they might be a championship contender even after what happened last season to them but what about Ayton?
Do you think that Ayton is still happy after what happened last season? Watch his interview with journalists regarding him being asked if how and Coach Monty's relationship right now. You can see in his face that he isn't happy, and he only says, "I'm Ok" or "It's Ok" etc. etc.

I believe that Ayton's relationship with the Coach might have an aftereffect on his performance though the effect of it is minimal, I guess. Paul is 36 already. He might past his prime, but I think this might be his last chance to win a title or his performance and efficiency might decline in the next years.

Deandre Ayton isn't happy anymore It was a sad sad man and another season that his payment is still the same I think Deandre Ayton needs a max contract if they want him to be a beast again, but I think that will not happen if he's not playing his 100% this season but I feel really sorry for him not getting what he wants I really think he needs to switch teams that will get him a salary he deserves and I think the Indiana Pacers is offering him 4-year, $133 million deal but the two sides have failed to get on terms,

It may not be over but he's running out of time. He should be tougher than he was as his stance so that scouters will get him.

He is unlucky and undrafted but not every good player gone through in draft phase.

He needs to become thick so that he is ideal to any team that will want to get him.

Pre-season games are part of team practice and get together in order to put themselves into prime condition once NBA real season begins. I like it when NBA teams visits other nations for exhibition games. Phoenix Suns visited Australia. They lost to Adelaide 36ers but nothing to lose and nothing serious. Phoenix Suns is one of the teams that we can watch because they were number one in their regular season. This year and next year they have the same stars, Booker, Ayton and Paul. How long can Paul play at championship level?
Well, some might still think that they might be a championship contender even after what happened last season to them but what about Ayton?

Looking forward to seeing Ben Simmons make his debut with the Nets tonight for their first preseason game. I don’t know how many minutes he’ll get with KD and Kyrie, if they play at all. It will be good to see him back out there though. The game is pretty much meaningless, but I didn’t really think I’d ever see those 3 play together so it should be a good watch.
I confess that I'm also looking forward to watching this game, I have no doubt that other people are too!

If that actually happens, it would be very interesting to see them playing together and see at least for a few minutes the chemistry between them, even though it's a pre-season game, it would be valid

Simmons showing he is no longer allergic playing basketball and start playing that he can hoop again. Lets just wait if the pressure wont get to him in the regular season because the Sixers fans still hate him they were booing him when he did free throws "missed both".

Defending Andre Ayon in a low post is already a big experience for Kai Sotto even if it's just an exhibition match.

That kid really got that damn improved for years. I do remember him when he was still soft as a tissue. He really stays focused and disregards his critics during the time he was still new to the international game.

I hope he will get his NBA dream.

I think a lot of people are.  I'm actually rooting for this kid and hopes he makes it in tes of getting his head together.  I like that Nash said he doesn't care if he never shoots.  I know he doesn't mean it but shows at least the organization is behind him.  With Durant amd kyrie on the court he doesn't need to shoot much at all.

I guess that's the big difference with his previous team, he now have reliable teammates offensive wise. Durant and Kyrie already have enough fire power to overwhelm their opponents. His role will focus mainly on facilitating, slashing, and defending. That is a great relief on his side that there is no pressure for him to hit it outside.

But for personal and career development, he should develop that part of his game. It will be useful later in his career when his athleticism starts to decline. 3 points and perimeter shots will give so much value in his game. He will not be a 1 dimensional player and opponents will have a harder time defending him. He would be less predictable.
