Kendrick Nunn looked great today for the Lakers in their game against the Suns. He was the missing piece last year and healthy he’s a great addition. He shot 8 for 13 and 4 for 7 from 3 point range to get 21 points. I think LeBron is going to love passing the ball out to him this year. If AD can stay healthy I think they have a shot.

The game is not that interested when the superstars aren't playing because we can't really feel the intensity if the lead players aren't there. But these pre-season games are also good because the other players in the roster can establish their skills to the public and it's a good warm-up for both teams before the season will start, formally.

Also, just like what you've said, pre-season games don't really matter so it's not really embarrassing if Bucks or Grizzlies will get defeated. But speaking of embarrassment this pre-season games, it's hard not to mention the Phoenix Suns because they got defeated and bullied by a non-NBA team named Adelaide 36ers especially when the trio of the Suns was there playing. Can't really imagine what the Point God, CP3 felt after the game.

Yup! I really don't think much about the Preseason game for the NBA and It really doesn't matter for them to lose the game aswell but showing their bench players their ability for the team and putting up teams up that the team also isn't using much and seeing their chemistry as well,

Well that game is also a preseason and I don't really know if the Phoenix Suns intentionally lost to the Adelaide 36ers as I mention the Phoenix Suns also just using the bench players for this game it is like they are really underestimating the Adelaide 36ers, but the fans of the Phoenix Suns is not happy about them losing to a non-NBA team like that they should have put in the effort of just winning,

Right, that game is not that important and pre-season was created to give time for each team to establish their plan and to know if it's good or not to draw it again. Just like the game of Lakers and Kings, the Lakers lost the game but their starters played for just 15 minutes or less and then they let the bench players play right after while the Kings let their starting five play all the way. There's indeed a difference, people should know that it's not that important including the Sun's situation versus the 36ers.

It's really looking like NBA will be another boring season if this is how it goes. Some teams have a huge cap problem, but they do not care and pay the luxury tax thanks to rich owners, and some teams do not even try to win, they just give up before the season starts.

So, we are going to watch maybe like 2-3 teams to win, and we are going to see the rest to be either tanking, or trying to stay in playoff spot, but not even have a contending chance. That's not going to cut it anymore, this needs to change, it has been like this nearly for 10 years, we really need teams that could rival each other, not move away from each other, it really sucks this way.

I think it's going to be a lot better than the years where Golden State had all of their current players including Kevin Durant, or when Lebron "took his talents to south beach" and he, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh all completely dominated.  At least we don't know for sure what teams is going to win, because for a while there we did and it was ruining the game of basketball.  At least for me anyhow.

I agree. The NBA was LeBron vs the Warriors for like half a decade. Before that it was a half decade of LeBron vs whoever gets out of the west. I have no idea who will be in the Finals this year, but I know there are a lot of teams like the Pelicans and the Bucks that have potential to create some matchup nightmares. Then there’s the Heat and Sixers who could stumble their way to the Finals. Out west is a little less competitive, but we need to see if PG and Kawhi are truly healthy and if the Lakers are back in championship form before handing the Warriors the ring.

That only shows how great LeBron James is on his prime years especially those time when he carried the Cleveland to the Finals, luckily the Warriors found the right players for the team and managed to match-up LeBron that's why most of the time, it's them against LeBron.

I agree with the Pelicans, Bucks and Sixers, and I heard that the Bucks is nearing to close the trade between the Jazz to get Jordan Clarkson, he will be a good additional from the bench. But Miami Heat? I know that they can get their way to the top but the problem with them is the consistency because eventually, Butler will end up carrying the team again.

Problems usually arise among these "value" players when they start losing badly. I get it that Kyrie or KD also hate losing but a lot of players always looks for someone or something to blame for their poor results. Not really taking much responsibility for the loss.
Alot of players have their own prime time and also have their deform period, it's actually facts in the game and can not be changed. When a team loses, they points out blame to each other instead of accepting defeats and move on. In the case of Kyrie, he needs more time to get back into shape and having a regular playing time to improve his performance in games. We all know that he's one of the sharp player in his team and some managers can't afford to lose him to his opponents.

They just need to move forward and forget about that bad performances, as long as they are willing to let go and come back strong.

with regard to Nets stars, they are still part of the top NBA stars and with them playing healthy, winning chance still high
as long as they are aiming with same goal together, no more attitude issue just enjoy playing together.

Have you guys watched the games today? The Phoenix Suns just won by 4 points after overtime against the Los Angeles Lakers. CP3 is still showing signs of his greatness. He is amazing.

The Lakers meanwhile are starting to get it together. Bron is back with limited minutes but was performing well. It is Westbrick that wasn't doing well. This guy needs to stop taking volumes of shots, this isn't OKC where it didn't mind losing games. AD as LA was able to ma hasn't played with an injury.

Definitely not a bust.  That's ridiculous.  When he's healthy he's one of the most if not the most dominant player in the NBA...

A lot of preseason games today but none on cable TV so I won't be able to watch any.  The only one that really seems interesting is the Lakers/Suns.  Tomorrow has a couple of good games though.  Heat/Nets should be a good one as we get another look at the Kyrie/KD/Simmons lineup.  Then on ESPN you have the Lakers and Timberwolves.  That one I will probably try to catch some of.  Smiley
Indeed he will be one of the dominant players this season if he keeps that type of body because he will not be prone to more injuries anymore, especially his lower body which receives all the weight.
He can jump, he can shoot, and he is agile. It's not every day you will find a player who is multitalented like him.

Russell Westbrook just registered his first attempt in long distance and it was a score. Better, it was a 4-point play.
There's a change as I checked, he didn't jump too high. Whatever his training is, it's working.

Fun game by the New Orleans Pelicans versus the Chicago Bulls.
The bench players' performance in the last quarter of the game made it look like it was a regular season.  Cheesy
NOP 129 - Bulls 125

The Pelicans look great, and Zion looks good (I can't tell if some weight was lost). They are a solid team and their bench looks promising too with Willy Hernangomez who won the Fiba Eurobasket MVP.
If healthy, I think they have a great chance to make a top seed. They will probably be one of the favorites this season.

I don't usually watch pre-season games because they aren't serious games. But I'm also excited at how the healthy Pelicans will end up this season. Their line-up is already good so all they need now is to perform well. I heard that Zion is on a seafood diet. Hopefully, it's not a giant octopus or tuna per meal. Cheesy

Yes, Zion losing weight is one of the biggest story this season. I think he listens to Barkley's criticism that he needs to lose up that belly, and in the end it will really benefit him and his team. They have a solid line up right now that is playoff bound with him and CJ in the side.

Not only with Barkley's criticism, but he listened to everyone's suggestion that he should lose some weight to unlock his full potential. Some people might have been starting to hate the kid for becoming so fragile after reaching the NBA, but I still believe he's not a bust and he'll eventually live up to the hype he once have after the draft night.
Hoping for him to bounce back and be as durable as LeBron.

I think he is not a bust, still very young although he was out last year, he still has a lot of potential to be the next face of the NBA like Giannis before him. And it's good that the kid listens to every critics of his, like Sir Charles and the rest of the basketball fans and analyst. And so with that new bod, for sure we will see a lot of improvement, he has the moves already and the shooting touch outside, he just need to be consistent and not injury prone and we wish we can see him play full season.

Definitely not a bust.  That's ridiculous.  When he's healthy he's one of the most if not the most dominant player in the NBA...

Yeah to call him a bust at this point is definitely an over exaggeration at this point.  He does/did kind of have that Greg Oden could be a bust type of feel, but I have much higher hopes for Zion than I ever did for Oden ( Looked like he was 55 years old when he played for Ohio State).

Watched some of the Bulls Pelicans game last night.  Zion looked solid.  Definitely looks like he did some great offseason conditioning.

He got damn huge potential even if he didn't meet yet the expectation of the fans. And he's body built is cool now that means he really work hard to get more better performance next season opener. He's performance recently is really great and maybe we can see him giving quality buckets to his team since he looks very healthy by watching play vs bulls.

He have no choice but to lose weight. It is specifically written in his contract. He should weight less than 295 lbs and that his body fat is monitored. He would not want to endanger his contract by going over his weight limit.
Exactly.

....

In any case, the Kyrie/KD/Simmons is a good look again and see if the chemistry is really there or if these divas will have some problems down the line.

It may not be over but he's running out of time. He should be tougher than he was as his stance so that scouters will get him.

He is unlucky and undrafted but not every good player gone through in draft phase.

He needs to become thick so that he is ideal to any team that will want to get him.

Kai Sotto is still in his 20 years of age and surely he needs to build up muscles for other teams to notice him that much this he is bulkier than Golden State's Patrick Baldwin jr. and I think if he could acquire faster momentum and get used to his surrounding he can surely play like Kevin Durant in my opinion, and I think my boy Kai Sotto will surely improve so much because he still has a lot of ceiling to fit up too,
Yeah, that's what he needs to build up. Some muscles and adopt the quick plays so that the scouters won't have any doubt on him that he can go par with the other league's big man.

I'm thinking of him of becoming like the Nowitzki but he really needs to push some thickness on his body and practice more outside shooting. It's like going in and out the ring so that he'll be desirable to be taken by most teams.

Now that he has lost weight, I wonder if he have done it if it is not in the contract. I remember when he got first injured in his first year in NBA, there are already comments about his weight and that he should lost some. I remember a doctor explaining that Zion walk the way he walk because of his weight. But he remained the same weight until now.

We will see in regular season if this adjustment will do great in his career and if he be less prone to injury. The more games he played, the better the ranks of pelicans will be. Hopefully, he would be able to finish a season this time.

Chicago Bulls acquired veteran Goran Dragic and Andre Drummond to boost their line-up this season. So I am also hoping they can also perform well. I want to see Vucevic bring back his Orlando Magic stats.

We all know that no one actually cares about pre-season games. But this game was close. Something amazed me and that is Vucevic got 11 rebounds and scored 15 points. This was a great effort from him even though it was just a pre-season match.
But it can be a good measurement to see how teams are, specially those who have upgraded their roster.

The pelicans are in really good shape. They have shown that in this match. I believe when the season finally starts their performance is going to be much better.
See, we all get excited to watch a new version of Pelicans or Zion, he clearly losses a lot of weight and move very different and so we want to see him more and hopefully the team will be different with him and Ingram.

Goran Dragic and Andre Drummond are going to be important for the success of the Bulls. These are two good players that they brought in. Drummond has shown good performance in this match as well.
They need to be consistent and again, we just hope that they will be healthy and no more injuries to their star players. At least he had a god back up in Drummond and a experience point guard in Dragic.

Vucevic has a good season with them, not that consistent but I would say good enough for a center. It's that it was overshadowed by the Lavine and DeRozan tandem. But with Drummond helping him, he can up his stats and maybe improved his outside shooting.

Cheesy

The pelicans are in really good shape. They have shown that in this match. I believe when the season finally starts their performance is going to be much better.

Goran Dragic and Andre Drummond are going to be important for the success of the Bulls. These are two good players that they brought in. Drummond has shown good performance in this match as well.

It's worth noting that the Pelicans were able to reach the first round of the playoffs last season without Zion. So the current Pelicans roster definitely has good potential, and it will be interesting to watch how they perform this season. However, I wouldn't call them favorites because there are many other teams that look stronger than the Pelicans.

Not only did they do it without Zion last year, but they didn't have CJ for a majority of the year as well.  I'm sure they'll make the playoffs this year and if Zion can stay healthy I could see them getting through a round or two.  They looked great.  Especially Jaxson Hayes & Willy Hernangómez.  Zion looked faster than ever though.  He's easily lost 75lbs since some of the offseason pictures of him floating around and he's the lightest and most in shape he's ever been.  That quick baseline dunk was a flash at what he's capable of.  This is going to be a great year for the Pelicans.  When Ingram gets back this team will be tough to match up against.
