KD won't do any good for the team because I expect that the deal will mean that the Nets will have Smart and Brown, I don't think that they will just go and grab one player from the Celtics in exchange for Durant, right? So in short, the Celtics will not be the same anymore and that means that they will start from scratch again and might find themselves hanging when Durant starts to make trade request next season if the team won't work-out.
They think that it's going to be a good trade if they accept it and fans can't do anything with that. But we all are in agreement that this isn't a good trade.

Whether they see it as a fair or not, it's still not going to do well and this could lose them more fans where also part of sales are coming for the franchise.

Nets won't just settle for a 1:1 ratio trade whether they'll be getting a superstar, most of the asking trade are likely more than 2 and note that they're contributors and star players.

It will be a good trade if Kevin Durant will stay in the Celtics until his contract expires but we all know that Durant will still leave the Celtics if things turns out ugly after this season and the Celtics will be left hanging and destroyed because they all bet for Durant just like what the Nets did but in the end, they were left.

The Celtics should just concentrate in their present roster because they are now much more stronger than the past season because of the experienced they acquired recently. I bet that Brown and Tatum will be more lethal this time.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has agreed on a two-year, $97.1 million contract extension – including a player option for the 2024-2025 season, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul told ESPN. James had been entering final year of deal worth $44.5M.

LeBron James' decision to re-sign with the Lakers was not without complications. Some sources have said that, James has been privately adamant that the Lakers still need to improve the current roster – and need to trade for Kyrie Irving.

There's no more excuse for them as they have the big 3 now.

Durant
Irving
Simmons.

This big 3 is strong enough to bring this team into the championship, the only problem is their chemistry and the two superstars passion to play as they have asked to be traded, hopefully that will not affect their performance in the season to come.

More like big 3 headaches for the organization to me Cheesy

I'm expecting that they will play their best and bring the Nets to the finals. They cannot keep that drama forever, their future will be affected and I'm sure they understand that as although they are no anymore young, their value is still high. They just have to had an impressive season, teams will be making ways to make that trade possible.

They can literally do that if they will work together as a team and forget all the self-centered attitudes because that will be the reason why the team won't reach far enough or even playoffs, but don't keep your hopes high because Ben Simmons is still a mystery for the team as he's not yet proven that he is already back on track and there's KD drama too.

So the biggest NBA news today is Lebron James' 2-year contract extension worth a staggering $97.1 million. He now reclaimed the highest paid NBA player in the league and at the same time the highest total salary earnings in the history of the NBA which is half a billion dollars. The amazing achievement of an already 37-year-old baller. But we will see if his dream of becoming a champion once again becomes a reality. Many legendary veterans before like Tim Duncan and Dirk Nowitzki sacrificed huge portions of their salaries in order for the team to create openings and be able to compete at the top. The Lakers though is a different team since it is one of the richest teams in the NBA so maybe they are willing to pay an additional luxury tax of more than 100% of its players' salaries just like the Warriors.

So regardless of what school he chooses, it's up to him and just like you said, his father is very supportive of his sons and he only want the best for them.

That's the most important thing, we already have Lebron James his father who is going to be a hall of Famer soon, so it's enough to have one in the family. Well, as long as he would just enjoy basketball and let things come around, I mean no pressure, then maybe one day we will see Bronny playing in the NBA and Lebron would be happy cheering for his son.

Take your time Bronny, you'll get there.

He has to accept the reality that he is not as great as his father, but maybe one day he will be in the NBA but I don't expect him to perform like a superstar. His father is sure very supportive to him, so this guy hopefully will not feel the pressure.

I think he knows that already and so he is trying to improved his game because his father is very different. And I agree, if it time for Bronny to pick up schools, for sure there will be media around him, and it will be televised in TV.

So regardless of what school he chooses, it's up to him and just like you said, his father is very supportive of his sons and he only want the best for them.

He's to young ang there's a lot of rooms to improve. If he can't replicate what he's father's achievement but at least he can reach to NBA and be a star this is huge achievement already. We see to many child of NBA stars didn't make a noise on NBA scene so if Bronny can at least climb up to his best level I think Lebron will still be so proud to his child. But to be honest its so early to speculate this things because for sure we can see some improvements to happen in future.

Let's be optimistic with that, he already has the connection since his father is still active and I'm sure that would help him if he will improve a bit. Maybe next year he will be drafted, who knows, but for now, he has to continue playing and try to achieve best improvement.

Jesus christ, 50 million a year give or take, which I am sure is still good money for Lebron even though he must worth like a billion already, maybe more. I am guessing that he will definitely pick up the player option, but it all depends on where his kid will go. I guess Bronny looks as solid as it gets for a candidate, both a legacy which is like the biggest we can think, but also a solid top 60 draft pick for sure even without the dad (well he wouldn't be this good without his dad lol). So all in all, I am guessing that if Lakers gets Bronny then Lebron stays, if not then Lebron may leave to wherever drafts Bronny for sure.

Looks like LeBron will most likely retire a Laker on that contract. The extension also makes him the new highest paid career earner in NBA history, passing Kevin Durant. In another two years I’m not sure if LeBron will still be able to be healthy and play at a high level, but he’ll probably have the option to sign another deal if he wants to. I’m sure LeBron is celebrating tonight…
Intensity is surely gone. But health seems like not an issue for him. 56 games played last season and averaging 30 points which is great for his age. We will see him more playing outside positions but the moves might become more predictable if he won't be aggressive at attacking the paint.
$97 million. Damn. It will be worth every game he will play as it's like $1m per game.  Cheesy

That's a huge amount of money, that will increase his wealth being one of the richest NBA players in the world. Well, he deserved that because he is the king, may not be the best player in the NBA now but his leadership is very effective as long as he is healthy and can play.

And Rich Paul too could have been celebrating with him with that huge contract he was able to make for his client Lebron. Seeing how Lebron was really putting hours in his body to protect it, I'm thinking that he can still be very competitive in the next 2y years or at least the arrival of his son/s in the NBA because we all know that this is his dream to play with his kid, maybe it could be in the Lakers uniform and then makes history.

I bet the rest of the Brooklyn Nets roster is now having some doubts against KD as he might be not reliable enough just like the last season where he carried most of the load that made the team cross the playoffs. A player requesting a trade is really bad sign if that player still ends up playing the same team next season because the demand has not been meet by other teams and that's the situation of the Nets now.
Kyrie on the other hand doesn't have any problem at all and actually he said that he will stay and play for the Nets even if KD is not around with them anymore.
I don't think it's doubt, it's more of the team losing their trust on KD already. It's a big let down to hear from him wanting a trade or having their coach fired. And there could be more locker room drama specially if there will be close call or if they choke a game.
I'm not sure of Kyrie as well, if I'm not mistaken, I have read that the Nets are also tired of his antics. So they might as well trade him before training camp starts.

His inability to trust his team is exactly what is going to make him not be able to perform as well as he should. I would say that there is going to be a gradual decline in his performance as a result of this. He probably won't try as hard as he did before, which means he won't do as well.

I really don’t think that either KD or Kyrie is moving anywhere.

The question of trusting the system and how they will work professionally after those dramas, KD in particular, who are asking for the trade

or for the team manager and the coach to be fired, it's not going to be the usual working environment knowing that there is someone who can

ruin the game once they are already inside the court. Players are also affected by this drama. Better to bench them instead of letting them play

with a trust issue in between.

Unlike when he was part of the Warriors team. He trusted the process and Curry gave way for him. He was also the superstar of the team on that moment. Right now, Kyrie won't do that for him. Both of them are trying to be superstars in their own way and that takes out the chemistry that must be built for the team to be effective on both ends. It sucks all the energy when two players are taking different paths. I won't expect too much on the Nets team and its true KD might not even play at his best and just try to keep himself healthy.

For now there are no teams that is willing because of the enormous amount of players and future picks that will be included specially if Durant will end up in Boston. But who knows, I mean training camp has started already and in about 2-3 month the next season will start.

So it's going to be raised against time for Nets to shop around and look for Durant/Irving trade. Someone has to give in with the request and back and forth negotiations.

People easily label KD as selfish because he excels at solo performances as well. He is good even without a very good team behind him. Yet, sometimes it does feel like he doesn’t care about the team. I am sure that is just people nitpicking things. Recently even LeBron James also expressed that Kevin Durant is making the environment toxic. But if they don’t want KD on the team who are they going to bring in?
I thought I seen today that KD is gonna likely end up in Boston and Kyrie will likely be a Laker. I think the only thing stopping the Kyrie deal is Lakers agreeing to trade both draft picks next year. Should be a no brainer.

The last couple of things I heard about the Kyrie trade to Lakers was, first the Nets wants to include Joe Harris into the trade package but the Lakers in contratry wants Seth Curry instead. Second, the Nets were a little worried about Westbrook's expiring contract and they want a 3rd team involve into the trade.
Now, I'm not sure what happens to the rumors as it seems like it gradually died down.
Kyrie and KD were both want to be out in Brooklyn though.

It is obvious that they should have some reservations. This is because once a player decides to leave a team, it is obvious that his attitude will not be the same going forward. Thus, I think the Brooklyn Nets roster should seriously consider this. He is still a capable player no doubt. But the reason why he requested to be traded is obviously he doesn’t want to play here anymore. And that will not only play on his mind but also on the minds of his teammates as well.

Kyrie on the other hand doesn't have any problem at all and actually he said that he will stay and play for the Nets even if KD is not around with them anymore.
Kyrie, I believe, does not have any issues like that. It's probably his performance and behavior on and off the field that people are concerned about.

For wanting only to win to get a credits under his name that's what make them losing their trust to KD and his latest controversy what makes him a toxic to their team that's why I guess its better for their organization to let go of him and try their existing stars to make out next season or better rebuild since for sure they can get another star which can  possibly fit to them in exchange with KD and irving.
