There's no more excuse for them as they have the big 3 now.

Durant
Irving
Simmons.

This big 3 is strong enough to bring this team into the championship, the only problem is their chemistry and the two superstars passion to play as they have asked to be traded, hopefully that will not affect their performance in the season to come.

They are Big 3 just because of their names.

Ok, let's say they are not divas and all on their best status, with no trade dramas or whatever, here are my concerns about Ben Simmons.

- Ben Simmons is used in the PG position. Sixers is also a team where there are not much isolation plays. Joel Embiid does it on the low-post or perimeter shooting but most of the time, the Sixers are sharing the ball always in every possession. Here in Brooklyn Nets, there's only 1 usual play mosthat t of the time which is, the offense is only designed for Kyrie or Durant and mostly, isolation plays.

- Kevin Durant is a ball-hog. Once he is set for isolation, his teammates should not expect now to receive the ball. Durant will force his offense even if he is well-defended.

- At some point, what I mentioned about Durant can also apply to Irving.

The bottom line, Ben Simmons will surely have a hard time adjusting to his new role as a backcourt duo with either of these Nets superstars though chemistry can be formed while continuously playing at each other.

A lot of basketball fans around the world reacted to this photo wherein Brooklyn superstar KD played with Boston's main man Jayson Tatum. It seems that there is still a secret ongoing trade deal and maybe they are testing the 2 superstars' chemistry.
Expect negotiations going on behind closed doors as long as the trade window is still open.

I'm not really sure what the fuss is all about to be honest. Yes there's a noise going around of potential team up but players from opposing teams have practiced together in the past.

This will be another test for them if they can make this rooster work out since if they will have good chemistry together then maybe they achieve what they want to reach, they are still title contender knowing Durant and Irving still capable to have a good run plus if Simmons will play without adding toxicity to them then might we will see them on finals next season, but this is still unclear until they agree to adopt their roles and erase their pride to play as a team.

the worst nightmare for a coach and a manager of some team Is when they have the best players in the league, they have all material and financial resources but at the end of the league they are not the champions, and they have to see another team with less resources than them and with average players winning the league. Without a doubt, this hurts the coaches and management of any club that is in this situation, I hope this doesn't happen to them.

Nets are now rank number 8 with +1600 odds, honestly, I like it as it's very attractive.
Do you think it's worth a shot?

Worth a shot for a hardcore Brooklyn Nets fan.

But for being just a gambler, I won't take that for the simple reason that I don't prefer that team even though Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will stay.

The odds will also change while the season is approaching depending on what will happen on their roster.

Exactly right! Even the players and management of the Brooklyn Nets doesn't know how will they keep these 3 drama queens in place so that they will work as a team, the odds are good but betting for Nets this time is not quite a good idea for sure. As for me, I'd go for the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics but I'll just wait for the season to start first.

And neither one of those 2 teams made it at least through the Conference Finals because each team is having their own sort of problem at that time and only the Nets made it to the playoffs but were swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round.

While Lakers were also struggling in the regular season because AD was injured and WB cannot find his rhythm.

Well, it's just not their time to shine because they both have lots of problems in their team which is the biggest disadvantage for them compared to the synchronized teams that get through the conference finals. Anyway, that's all in the fast and right now, they need to focus on their play on how to be effectively winning more games in able for them not to struggle to compete at play-in tournaments and will just gonna swept by the number 1 teams in the playoffs.

I still think that fully healthy Nets for a whole year could end up being great. Last year, at the start of the season the talks were about Lakers vs Nets finals, with harden instead of Simmons obviously, we all saw the result of that.

Seriously, if these 3 get their acts together, they are nightmares to their opponents. Fortunately for other teams, they are full of dramas.
That's the disappointing part. These three, along with whoever they get, could play at a level where they could win a title. When all three playing at their 100% and playing amazingly, they definitely deserve to win the title for sure, they are at least in the discussion.

But instead, they are just headaches that keep on bothering the team instead of actually playing, Simmons with his fake injury that doesn't get better and his childish acts, Durant with his request to leave, which he always does to teams, and Irving with him being a weirdo overall. I do not think that this team has what it takes to be at 100% ever, not with these players at least, maybe if they get decent trade returns.

I had a chance to watch the Lakers docuseries on Hulu last night and it was very interesting in comparison to HBO’s Winning Time. HBO’s is more entertaining hands down. It’s entire first season was covered in the first episode of the Hulu series. Hulu’s used all real footage though, so it was cool seeing the real people the actors were playing. I love seeing how it played out in real life as opposed to the HBO series and I can’t wait to see more of both.

But for me, a Brown believer ever since, I don't care if he will be traded in Brooklyn. Brooklyn is a rich team and if Jaylen will play there then there is a big possibility that he will become their main guy unlike in Boston. Kyrie is not young anymore with an attitude and bad shooter Ben Simmons got an attitude too.

The Nets have the big trio only on paper. So it seems to me the Nets' chances of reaching the finals next season will probably be close to zero because, as you said, they might have some problems with team chemistry. Moreover, Durant and Irving are the kind of players who care more about individual achievement than team results, while Simmons looks like he has no motivation at all.
Let's compare Ben Simmons to Klay Thompson because both players missed a lot of games for one reason or another. As I see it, the big difference between these two players is that Thompson had a lot of enthusiasm and desire to get back on the court as soon as possible, and we could notice that in his interviews. At the same time, Simmons doesn't seem to have any enthusiasm about coming back at all.
So I'd say the Nets have "the big duo and a half" now, not the big trio.

Indeed that's true. 3 players who could play the guard position. 2 of them can play the forward with a good shot blocking capability. 2 of them are one of the top in average steals. Simmons just went further down because he didn't play last season but Kyrie is still on the top 6. But we all saw how good Simmons at pickpockets.
All they need are active roleplayers that are not prone to injuries. They have Seth and Nic and those two will be a headache to any opponent they will be facing. I don't think they realize that yet. I mean the trio.

Some brotherhood that we don't know. Somehow they are on good terms even outside the basketball floor and it's giving away good vibes to promote sportsmanship.

Congratulations to Green.

We know that Lebron and Draymond are close. I think they also went on a vacation together, so I am not surprised to see Lebron on his wedding. But I am surprised to see Tatum in there. I never knew or expected they would be close friends. It is good to see players still having good relationships even when they are heavily pitted against each other on the court.

Seems like everything has been a bit calm later on the trading front. I think teams may be settling in with what they plan to enter training camp with. The season is just right around the corner so it seems like the Nets aren’t going to be making any deals that don’t interest them. We may see a KD and Kyrie team with Ben Simmons to start the year. Talk about awkward…

Honestly who knows.  There could easily be a situation in which they are working out a deal right now, and on the flipside it can be cold as ice.  I don't think the situation is or will be awkward at all, just normal nba business during the offseason honestly.  Ayers always say it...in the end its just a business.  So if they end up on the court together I expect them 3 to dominate a ton of games together.
I think this trio combo will end in a failure. But who knows? It's time for Kyrie Irving to be serious with the game, play harder and stop his unnecessary antics if he wants a good contract after this upcoming season. The same with Ben Simmons, this might be his last chance to prove that he is still a relevant talent in the league.

Depends on how they cooperate with each other since if they continue to act like a moron and want to do stat padding just to increase their stats then they might not go anywhere. But if this trio will adjust and adopt according to what role given to them for sure they can create good chemistry then might they go to play offs next season. The only problem with Nets is their own created drama if they just set aside their pride and play as a team for sure they can compete with those contender teams.

It's too early to judge, Simmons will be playing next season, so most likely the Nets roster will improve having a healthy Durant and Irving. Maybe thats the time the Nets will be able to successfully trade Durant and Irving especially if the Nets will become the number 1 team overall.

If the is the case, then it might ruin Durant for good, he can still ball no doubt, but if he has that kind of attitude now, I don't know if teams are willing to take a gamble.

Just play if they are really professional, that's what the NBA and the fans are expecting them to be. Not just diva, so he should expect more former players to criticized him in public and maybe some of his defenders can't shield him anymore from detractors.

We don’t know exactly what’s the real story behind Kevin Durant sudden cold feelings against playing in Nets. Even Kyrie demand the same trade offer because there might be something pressuring them or giving a dilemma on playing the Nets. Remember Nets suffer a shameful lose against Boston on the first round of playoffs. Maybe this result is what makes the management pressuring them on whatever is going on behind the scenes on Nets.

Too bad because off there poor performance on the playoffs,There’s no team willing to accept there trade offer because everybody knows how much they are valued right now while there output can’t justify there recent performance result. We know that Durant still got some his moves and still on prime but he has only few years left until the new players can overcome him on the top spot.

Pressure is normal, of course the management wants to see their expectation and it seemed like the Nets are not playing like a championship team. Not only the first round exit, but they also get swept which doesn't look good for a team that is the top favorite to win the championship.

Durant and Irving has to understand the management, they have invested a lot of money, it's just normal for them to ask for some assurance.

Competitive inside, but friendship is intact on the outside. Cool.
Draymond now has 5 rings.  Cheesy
I saw this picture a while ago and made me think that it's just the fans that are making rivals for their idols and no matter how tough every competition that they're in, they all remain to be friends in real life.

Congratulations to Dray, how old he is again before he marries, 32? and is this the first time for him to get into marriage?

Anyway, this is just pure fun to see all of them in one frame.

I understand why Dray wants a max contract, he enters into a marriage life and he has bigger responsibility now especially if they will have kids in the future. I don't follow his life outside basketball, so all I can say is that congratulations to him, hopefully he will be champ again.

Yeah they developed the bond outside the court, they are still human right? The kind of friendship that will continue as brotherhood.

It's really a good sign for a much stronger unity inside the league, they are hard inside the court but they have that connection outside

that will be treasured. A cool example that sports competition is just inside the court but they are good friends outside.
Yes, they are still human but as a fan of just one team on that celebration, you would not expect a lot of NBA players to be invited. Lebron and Tatum especially. One who was super competitive and physical with Draymond below the rim and another who just lost from them in their Finals run.
I am amazed at how Tatum took it and even put an effort to appear at the wedding. Sportsmanship at the highest level.

Congratulations to Dray, how old he is again before he marries, 32? and is this the first time for him to get into marriage?

Yes and yes but he had a 10-year relationship with ex-girlfriend Jelissa Hardy, they have 2 kids.
This will be a memory that will keep them close to each other. Soon, they will all retire and reminisce while looking at these photos.

I agree, Kyrie and KD could be gone tomorrow, or they will not be gone at all, and we do not have any idea until it happens. I still think that fully healthy Nets for a whole year could end up being great. Last year, at the start of the season the talks were about Lakers vs Nets finals, with harden instead of Simmons obviously, we all saw the result of that.

Harden has left, Simmons is injured, Kyrie and vaccination etc etc all destroyed Nets, and Lakers having one of the worst years of both AD and Westbrook together caused them to be terrible too. So I am not expecting the thing this year, it is going to be a revenge year for Lakers, and Nets could stay healthy and be a lot better if they stay together.
Well... reading this post came to my mind... could the Nets be different this season and could they become a strong and competitive team to beat the Warriors!!? (or another team???).

I mean if both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant reverse their requests to be traded away from Brooklyn, I could see this team being very good with another year under their belts as well as having time to gel with Ben Simmons. But whether they can beat the Warriors or not I’m not too sure. I think if they all play to their fullest abilities and stay healthy, they could..Durant is a top 3 player on the planet and Kyrie is top 10..so that should be enough for them to compete with anyone.

I don’t know if that’s going to happen. I suspected they would return and the Nets would go on like the trade requests never happened. However, I just read an article that claimed Durant said that he would rather retire then play another game for the Nets. I guess we’ll see soon enough. With only a couple months left until Durant is expected to suit up, we could have another Ben Simmons situation on our hands.
If the is the case, then it might ruin Durant for good, he can still ball no doubt, but if he has that kind of attitude now, I don't know if teams are willing to take a gamble.
