Durant
Irving
Simmons.
This big 3 is strong enough to bring this team into the championship, the only problem is their chemistry and the two superstars passion to play as they have asked to be traded, hopefully that will not affect their performance in the season to come.
They are Big 3 just because of their names.
Ok, let's say they are not divas and all on their best status, with no trade dramas or whatever, here are my concerns about Ben Simmons.
- Ben Simmons is used in the PG position. Sixers is also a team where there are not much isolation plays. Joel Embiid does it on the low-post or perimeter shooting but most of the time, the Sixers are sharing the ball always in every possession. Here in Brooklyn Nets, there's only 1 usual play mosthat t of the time which is, the offense is only designed for Kyrie or Durant and mostly, isolation plays.
- Kevin Durant is a ball-hog. Once he is set for isolation, his teammates should not expect now to receive the ball. Durant will force his offense even if he is well-defended.
- At some point, what I mentioned about Durant can also apply to Irving.
The bottom line, Ben Simmons will surely have a hard time adjusting to his new role as a backcourt duo with either of these Nets superstars though chemistry can be formed while continuously playing at each other.
