Another game for these two teams and another expectations from the fans.

Warriors need to win this and continue their chase to win another NBA title, if they will lose it again inside the chase center
it will be a very big advantage for Boston.

Many will bet for the home team for sure, just like in game 1, they will still get bookies' heavy favorite. ML now is @ 1.50
for the warriors.
With this victory againts the Celtics, yesterday's (with almost 20 points of difference), it showed that GSW is still a strong team that can surprise everyone!

Technically the Warriors need to win at least game 3 or 4 to get back in Game 5 (at Chase Center) equal with Boston Celtics.

As it's been a few years since the Celtics reached it to an NBA finals (I believe the Celtics last appearance was in 2010) the fans and young players in Boston (Tatum, Brown, Smart and others) will do anything to get that ring!

I confess that these finals can be extremely interesting to watch!

The second game ended up with a Warriors victory just as I expected. However it was a win by a really huge point gap also. They destroyed Celtics by 107-88 and this time they ended the third quarter as far ahead of Celtics. They were twenty-three points ahead of Celtics at the end of the third quarter. By the way it was really delightful to watch Jordan Poole's mid court short too. It seems like Curry has taught him well so far.  Grin  Curry and Tatum competed with each other to be the most scorer and Curry won the race by only one point (29 points).

2 minutes remaining for the 3rd quarter and GSW is leading at 79-62. The first two quarters were close to each other but this quarter, the GSW had gained momentum. I guess this is all done for game 2. Although still a lot of time remaining and there's still the 4th quarter.
But, we'll see.

Jordan Poole with a dagger 3 to end the 3rd Quarter and this pretty much looks like a wrap already, but I'm sure Steve Kerr would be very about resting his stars early given what happened in Game 1.. It's a 23-point lead for the Warriors but since the got out score by 24 points in 4th of Game 1, we can all say the game just isn't over yet.

4th Quarter is about to get underway.

I stopped watching shortly after this.  I was glad to see the Warriors win in dominant fashion, but I'd always like to see a closer game.  Without money on the line, there wasn't really much of a reason to watch beyond the first couple minutes of the fourth.  I can't say this was a great game to watch, but the first quarter was decent.  I hope games get a little more exciting going forward, but I'd like to see this series over in 5 with Steph taking home his first Finals MVP award.

I’ll admit I was worried at first that the Celtics were going to continue where they left off in the fourth quarter last game. Steph gave them the lead at the end of the quarter with a slick move to the basket. That gives me a little confidence that this is going to be a good game. The Celtics are still looking better than I’d expect though. Tatum especially is hitting some nice shots.

It looks like another close game as the first half is over, and the Warriors lead the Celtics by just 2 points. By the way, Tatum really plays better this time, given that he has already scored 21 points. At the same time, I am surprised that Horford is not as active as he was in the first match. He hasn't even made a single shot yet, even though he's been playing for 16 minutes.

In the first half, we can see that the game is close and I said to myself that this might go like what happened in Game 1 where the Celtics was just following the Warriors lead and eventually take over in the final quarter. But in the 2nd quarter, Poole and Curry made the lead even bigger and then Steve Kerr let Curry rest after having a 30 point lead.

I don't know why Horford didn't contributed well when the Warriors defense is not that tight, also Marcus Smart is always passing the ball and it looks like that he is afraid to make some shot. Tatum was left again carrying the team that's why they have been lost.

Boston had too many turnovers and they paid for it. The first half was head-to-head, but they made so many simple turnovers that Golden State have a say. In the third quarter, Boston was completely disbanded and Golden State took full control and widened the gap. They then hoisted the surrender flag early and set it aside in the final quarter to rest the starting players. Now the final series is 1-1 and things are heating up. The series move to Boston for next two games.

Yeah that was a nice run to push it from single digits to almost up 30.  Didn't think this one would be close given the drive of not going down 2-0 to go on the road.  I think game 3 will be real crucial to the series.  Can gs steal one in Boston to get the home court advantage back?
That's a good question and I think they can. 2 games on the road, stealing one should be enough but if they can manage to get the 2 games then it will be sweeter to end it at their home. Then, my bet for 4-1 will also win.  Cheesy
There's a high chance that GSW can still 1 or 2 game on Boston since they are still consistent in their play even on game 1. Boston just got a very lucky game on game 1 that's why they manage comeback in 4th quarter but if we watch again the game 1, We can see that GSW is still consistent in their play even in 4th quarter since they manage to answer back at some part but the unstoppable 3 point shot is very hard to counter. But I will still bet on Boston with a handicap because I still believe that they can repeat what they did in game 1.
Consistency in winning 3rd quarters in every game. Every NBA analyst knew that. It is also why they keep on telling that the Celtics need a big blowout game before the 3rd quarter starts just like what they predicted against the Mavericks. Why is it always after the showers? There must be magic on those waters.  Roll Eyes

I was hoping for Boston to win this season's championship but okay I gave up. Yesterday I took my first bet in this series. I bet on GSW. I think they have too much offense and their options are just too many compared to Boston. Boston's 4th quarter rally in game 1 only happens once in a lifetime only. Defensively GSW also got Draymond and Wiggins. We also saw in game 2 the return of Gary Payton II. Maybe not that useful when everyone's healthy and performing but when needed the guy is good offensively and is very accurate.

Every single role player who played earlier really maximizes the help that they can bring, fewer minutes but good enough to

make an impact. Otto, Bjelica and GP2 players who came from the bench who gave enough minutes for the stars to rest.

Boston show a good start but again, 2nd half is being dominated by the Warriors and they didn't give any sign for the Celtics

to make a comeback and rally to win. They completely sealed this game and win with a very confident leads.

Maybe in game 3 we can see a not boring game because provably they adjust and think about do more better defense on their game 3.
Celtics has to adjust, they cannot wait until the 4th quarter and have a big run.
They need to be consistent, control the game from 1st quarter to then end of the game, that way they'll win game 3.

I though in first quarter they will make the life of Warriors hard again but looks like they had beed choked by defensive presence of green and he is one of the key guy that's why they win today.
Celtics had a double digit lead IIRC, but no safe lead for the Warriors as they will come back and have their own big run.
I don't know how the Celtics will stop the Warriors in 3rd quarter, but they need to find a way to stop it.

3rd quarter Warriors.  Wink
Big win for them and the adjustment was perfect. They shut down Smart, White, and Horford. That's what they want to happen and they didn't mess up tonight. Steph Curry doing most of the damage and then Jordan Poole, while Klay Thompson is still missing in the picture.
Now, how will the Celtics adjust? A big question for everyone. They haven't won a 3rd quarter which is one of the crucial parts of the game. They must find a way to put an end to that.
Horford who scored 26 in Game 1 only scored 2. Tatum got his worst plus-minus in his career with -36.
TBH, I thought that the Celtics might get this because they played well in the first half but when the second half came, it's a different story. They shot near 20% in the second half while the Warriors are near 40-50%.

After that 35-14 3rd quarter, the Celtics threw the white towel already and I think it's a good decision for me. They are down 23 at that moment and they already won one on the road. What they need to do is to watch the whole game and adjust base on their mistakes. The Celtics I think will adjust more on their offense. Tatum in their last 2 games isn't shooting well with only 3/17 in Game 1 and 8/19 in Game 2. Brown needs to step up offensively and maybe focus more on threes because that is their bread and butter like in Game 1.

Tatum actually started the game quite well, but the Warriors were able to make adjustments early to keep him at bay and those two early fouls played significant role on Horford performance, and the Warriors defense also didn't give him enough space to get those wide open 3s like he did in game 1, he didn't even get to make any 3 pt shot attempt.

Now the Warriors need to get one on the road as well, and I'm very confident they'll do just that.
We can see that Celtics were horrible offensively, Tatum, Harford and everyone else included. Not only because the third quarter performance from the Warriors, they were just terrible. After Tatum (28 points), Brown (17 points) and White (12 points) had double digit scoring. The next player with most points is Grant Williams with 6 points. I know they are kinda stopped after the half time but if the Celtics have any claim on the series, they have to be much better offensively. Not the fourth quarter of the first game better, that was incredible, but just more solid. If they win all of their home court games, they can get the title.

They didn't convert their game the same on what they perform on game one that's why they end up defeated by miles away by warriors. We see how terrible they are today and maybe they are just to confident that's why they end up in messy way.

Maybe in game 3 we can see a not boring game because provably they adjust and think about do more better defense on their game 3.

There are a team that is known to explode in the 3rd and then protect it in the 4th. Maybe just a slip up in the first game. So with this kind of games from the Warriors, they are going to be hard to contend by any team. They did a good job on Steph but collapsing on him, and yet he find a way to score and make a good pass to his team mates. I think it's possible that GSW can steal at least 1 game in Boston. They are capable so we will see in next game, and take that back and make the score 2-1 for them.

That was a back-to-back three for Poole. Damn, that almost half-court shot and it was in! What a way to end the 3rd quarter indeed. The game has ended and the Celtics have actually lost their grip during the 3rd and 4th quarter and it was indeed a mental game for the GSW.
Well done, we're now 1-1!

The Boston Celtics made it a pretty solid game for the first two quarters but Golden State just blasted through in the last two quarters handedly outscoring the Celtics quite easily. I think they finally settled down a bit and played their brand of basketball. Can’t wait to see how they do in the first game in Boston.
Yeah, it was impressive 1st and 2nd quarter but what happened on the 3rd and 4th was actually GSWs' quarter. Going in for 3rd game!
