I bet Horford won't be able to do that again, the defense will also be focused on him in game 2 and at the same time, they will still continue to do a great job on Tatum. Well, on some games in the past series, Tatum had a bad 1 game but also bounce back in the 2nd game, so game 2 is very unpredictable, what I only believe is that the Warriors will try to come back.
Yes, he might not repeat that again but this is where we can tell how good of a team they are by adjusting. We know how experienced the Warriors are, they certainly know what they will do next but I want to witness what the Celtics can do in times the Warriors use their broad experience against them.
People, including me, thought Warriors were just much more experienced and Celtics are coming to finals when they are much more tired. But that amazing fourth quarter proved almost everyone wrong. What an amazing period of basketball Celtics had. They stopped Warriors and even without their biggest star on paper(Tatum didn't contribute so much) they had the 40 points fourth quarter on the NBA finals and in away game. How legendary was that. Celtics seriously spiced up the NBA for me in this playoffs. Huge respect.
I thought so too.
7 players in the Celtics roster have double digits in play time while the Warriors have 8 players who contributed to the game. No foul trouble, the game was clean and they all played through. Steve Kerr should list that as one more strategy for the game. Put the Celtics' first team in foul trouble.
