^ Yes, the bench of the Warriors is the best in the league and everyone knows their role and plays as they go along. So even if Steph an Klay is on the floor, Steve Kerr can call the same play with different personalities like Poole to lead the offense. They also have a good defensive specialist in Green and Looney is improving in every game and dominating. It might be a different story against the Celtics though as he will be challenge in the inside, but it will be a good match up, Williams vs Looney, or Horford vs Green.

Celtics have a more complete squad in the East but their bench is not as good as GSW. There is also no doubt that Warriors have more "firepower" but it's not like they can enter the court and start dropping three points in an instant. They have to get into rhythmn first and that's something the Celtics defense can exploit.

I have to agree with this. Since the first round of the playoffs, the Warriors bench are noticeably adjusting to the series.

Honestly, we will see much of their potential if Steph and Klay will be out since they won't need to set up plays with these 2 like they always did and will just focus on their usual offensive play. Of course, don't take that seriously. Smiley

We see how these bench players rally in a big deficit against Dallas Mavericks. Entering behind 28 points in the 4th Quarter and manage to bring it down to 8. That was a dangerous bench in the entire league lol. With what they show during that game, they will surely be able to repeat that in their future games.

With what I witnesses watching the Heat vs Celtics, There is no way in my mind that Boston even makes it a game vs the Warriors. Their only Chance is if Tatum and Marcus Smart play great offense and great defense every game. If those 2 leaders for the Celtics have a bad game, they will lose the game. They don't have a deep enough bench IMO.

Even if Tatum and Smart have poor performances, the Celtics can still hope for Jaylen Brown. This guy was pretty good in the series against the Heat. In addition, Horford can also be useful for the Celtics, especially in the paint. However, you're right that the Celtics have a bad bench. I would even say this is their main disadvantage because their coach allowed only 3-4 bench players to play in the previous series, while some players in the starting lineup played for 40+ minutes almost every game.

Yeah it's taytum and jaylen or bust.  They can't get over having them play terrible, especially in golden state.  Everyone needs to rock out there.  Celts can't overcome poor performance from both smart and taytum they aren't built deep enough to recover from that, maybe one game.  But Def not an entire series.

This also how balance this team because they have much reliable guys around but the problem is what can they do if Jalen and Tatum struggle? for sure they struggle on offensive ends. But guess majority believes that GSW would able to win this since imagine Gary Payton is out vs Mavs but still they perform very well on defensive ends and most provably they became more better once Payton play in finals.

I was hoping to see Celtics in the finals and they made it last night. They won the game by a very close gap and won the series by 4-3 as well. The last minutes of the seventh game were very exciting. Celtics were prone to making simple mistakes then but they still succeeded in keeping their score advantage. After this win by a 100-96 result, they have become Warriors' opponent in the finals and I'm looking forward to watching the games. I wish the final games were at an earlier time in my country but I don't have anything to do about it.  Grin
I think they need that as a lesson in this coming Finals, Warriors are known to be aggressive not just in the offensive but they do as well in the defensive side. Would make a good match considering both team have their young guns but on the experience in Finals days, the Warriors will beat them for that even on the coaching stuff.

Warriors are going to be a tiring opponent for Celtics certainly. They are very powerful when it comes to three pointers. Because they have Curry and Thompson in the first place. I will be curious about in what way Celtics are going to answer this huge offensive power. And yes, maybe Warriors are very good at defense too but I don't feel like they are better than Celtics about that now. If we compare the general defensive performances in the whole season so far, I would favour Celtics about that. We will see which side will be better in this.

Well, the crowd is with the Warriors but it's good to see that there are also Celtics fans. But just as said, it won't be that easy for the Celtics but still, the game hasn't started yet.
And most of us fans are liking to talk about the teams that we're in favor of and what we like to win. In the end of it, may the best team win and good luck to both.

People see the Celtics are a good team for their defense, while the Warriors are good on their defense. Let's see which team will win, but I'm pretty sure that the NBA Finals is not going to be a boring series, adjustments will be seen, and may the smartest team wins the Finals.

Curry or Tatum, one of them will probably be winning the Finals MVP already.
That's one thing for sure this final isn't boring. I have remembered the Celtics when my friends and I were watching them when they were once in the finals circa 2007-2008.
That's like one of my golden days of mine and I can't vividly remember that championship anymore. And now that they're back at it again, this is gonna be exciting and a new set of the roster and totally different from that one that I watched when they were in the finals. Although I'm not a hardcore fan of theirs, am just happy to see them back there since it's already one of an achievement for many players and teams.

2022 NBA Champion poll is up and running. Let's see what Bitcointalk think about this years final series.
Bookmakers show Golden State Warriors more likely to get the trophy. They are more experienced team and they were in this position plenty of times last decade. But Boston want to be in this place for years, now this is a great opportunity for them to show their skills. It will be a big test for Tatum. I'm especially happy for Al Horford, he can see final series in his career at 36. It'll be a really exciting finals and I don't expect it to finish before game six.
It's GSW handsdown but I'm with the underdogs to pull a miracle upset so I voted for them. I thought I would be the only one who would think that way but there are four others apparently hehe.

Tatum always had the talent and he has matured now. He also reminds me of how Curry and Thompson were when they first reached the Finals.
Boston is not consistently shooting well game to game. They have great defense but I think Curry and Thompson will have a field day on 3 pointers. Warriors win in 5 is where I'm at with this years Finals.

That is right but that is because mainly they are a defensive team but as we saw, they cannot even defeat easily the injured Heat when Butler was the only one doing the thing for his team. They already had that advantage but they still barely win especially on the last 3 games.

Now that they are up against the hot Warriors who have rested well enough, we will see how would they limit a team consists of offensive players. Well, this is a battle of Defensive team vs Offensive team. And yes, maybe the Warriors can even close the series in Game 5 but for me that's too soon, maybe in Game 6 but that is a road game for them so I think it's Game 7.

There is not much time left for the final series to start. After one night, we are going to have a start to it. Warriors are going to have two home games consecutively first. I wonder if they will be able to turn this into an advantage for themselves. Warriors are going to be a very challenging opponent for Celtics. We all saw what Warriors did to Mavericks in the previous round. Maybe Celtics seem like much stronger than Mavericks but they had better still watch out for a big threat. However Celtics will rely on their strong defense too. This can help us watch a series that ends by even seven games.

Looney is great, but Wiggins played the whole season great, and Poole is playing great as well. The "great" here is based on what is needed from them, they are playing much better than what is needed from them. Along with those three, they have Curry and Klay and Draymond as we all know, they have been together for a long time and played well and won rings together.

So, when you consider all of this, I highly doubt Celtics have anywhere near the talent level of Warriors and it should be a simple finals. I am not saying that it "will" be, we never know what happens during finals, but unless something unexpected happens, I can see even a sweep.

It's interesting to watch out, Warriors are so good to twist the outcome of the game in the last quarter while Boston,

They are known to be a blowout team, losing a huge gap and allowing a snatch. Even the lead seems to be impossible to work
out, they have lots of important games that they lost in the last few minutes of the game,

history that already mark the fans and bettors. If there's no adjustment, we will see entertaining game from the Warriors for sure.
Looking to see competitions and not a blow out series.
I stop cheering for the team that I like when their lead goes to 15-20+. I don't know why. I just hate it ending like that even though I am a big fan of the team that is in front. We all want this series to be as satisfying as possible even if it ends with 4-1 or 4-2. Close game, 3-point lead, or buzzer-beater kind of games will be enough to make it more entertaining.
Same here, that move he made surely shocked me because it was too sudden and we know that there's still enough time as they could make a better shot than that. But yea, like as you said, he'd rather carry all the blame because he knows that his team mates couldn't sleep that night if they were the ones who made that mistake. Anyway, the good about their team is there's no blaming game and instead they cheered Butler up not to overthink it because he indeed tried his best.
That's right and what if it went in. They will be celebrating full of joy and be grateful to Jimmy that he took the last shot. Same as how grateful they are that he took it to avoid the blames.

Yep, the team got no other choice as well but to try for that shot, who else is more capable to do that? It's just too bad for Jimmy Butler because he was the one who forced to make that shot and now it's him who can't move on with that because that cost them a fishing trip this summer. The whole roster cannot afford for an overtime because they were so tired already of transitioning, that situation was a do or die and his instincts were telling him to do that shot because it was wide open.
I used a swear word when he took the shot because I was not expecting it. He has the time to wait for his teammates (20 seconds remaining) but I guess all he wants is to win like what he said in the post-game interview. Win or nothing. With just a bit of an arc from that shot, it could've been a good one.
I don't blame him, I actually admired his confidence to do the final shot because we all know it will be a blame game if other players do it and it won't be good for their team's chemistry for next year. He'd rather take all the blame. What could he be thinking right now? The "what if's" of the game, maybe.

As per the initial odds the Warriors are the favorite to win against the Celtics.

they seemed better at the moment, and a bit fresher certainly
but I do not want to underestimate Celtics at all

it will all depend on first matches, if some team reach 3:1, it would probably mean the end for the series without turnaround
Thompson should be back into squad, and that could also mean more chances to Warriors

Yes, I don't think that anyone is underestimating Celtics, it's that for those bettors, the Warriors are the better team. And I would say that the Warriors improvement as a defensive team is not yet appreciated because of the obvious firepower they have in Klay and Steph. But now they developed into a 2 way player, specially Steph, and then Wiggins also a lock in guy, most likely to guard Tatum. And then Looney and Green in the middle. Otto Porter though, another player that can score and play defense. But if I'm not mistaken, he might be on game to game basis. Payton was injured as we all know, one of the best defensive guard we have with his quick hands. I think this team is more complete as compare to the years when they dominated the league.

The improvement that both Looney and Wiggins are also interesting and impacting in this upcoming NBA finals.

Both players are actively contributing, Wiggins is now a good stopper and a Looney who keeps moving inside and waiting

for trash to convert into a score, they both adjusted and makes their presence being count. The entire Warriors improve,

though they will continue to lean with their version of a big three Green, Thompson and Curry, but we all see how coach

Kerr rotates his roster and most of the time everyone blends as one.

That was really impressive, everyone contributed when they are on the floor and I really like their chances against the Celtics since they are not limited as a team. They can play small and they can also use their big center, but they are more focused on the small ball rotation because they are effective with such a strategy.

Imagine 3 shooters on the floor playing together, how can the Celtics stop that?
They might be able to stop one but the two will keep shooting.

You're right that experience is a strong advantage for the Warriors in the upcoming final series. At the same time, the Celtics are ambitious and unpredictable because they have already managed to win such strong teams as the Bucks and the Heat in previous rounds. To be honest, I'm still not sure which of these two teams will win the final series, but I won't be surprised if the winner is determined only in game 7.
IMO, Game 7 may not happen. But that's just me.
Game 1 will tell a lot so we will just wait for the game to start. Matchups will be seen and we will see how far Tatum could go with Wiggins in front of him.
Those two guys that will be competing in both offensive and defensive end may be the key factor to dictate the phase of the game.
I just wish we won't see blowout games as that is not entertaining anymore. I still want it to be a close game, never giving up until the buzzer sounds.

What do you mean about Thompson back on the squad? He is not injured and actually play an important role for Warriors during there match against Mavs whenever Curry is not playing well. Curry just manage to comeback since his teammates especially Thomson and Green are doing there job properly to cover Curry during his bad games. I'm sure the match against Boston will give them more challenge because, like Warriors, Boston has a lot of key players that have the potential to lead their team to victory.

This time I'm expecting game 7 on this NBA Finals or Sweep one way or another.
