Too little too late for the Mavs to catch up. A massive game for Doncic but not enough against the Suns' balanced scoring. I think this is how it's going to  look like for the rest of the series. The Suns won't need any heroic single performance to close out the Mavs.

How are your bets? I'm glad Dinwiddie missed the last shot Grin It could have ruined the handicap.

This is expected for Suns but I'm surprised how huge the total score of this 2 teams even though they are fighting neck to neck in all quarters. Mavs recover on the 4th quarter but not enough to erase all the lead points of Suns that accumulated in the 3 quarters. Balance gaming is always superb than 1 man team carry since its less stressful to players while they can still have energy for defense unlike Mavs.

I think Mavs can still get a game or 2 if there bench players will step up and contribute points.

Butler has an off night and the Heat still come away with the win, and pretty convincingly.  On top of Joel Embiid being out, it certainly doesn’t help having the Heat with home court advantage. Not sure Harden is much of a star player being the only star out there. Almost kind of predictable him shooting poorly tonight. I think this is about how the rest of the series is going to look.

Butler having an off-night and Lowry not playing and yet they still won.
I don't know if what affects more in this game. Is it the depth of the roster of the Heat especially their bench players lead by Herro or the absence of Embiid in this game. Or lets add another one which is the performance of Harden in the 2nd half. From having a good performance in the first half to just 4 points in the 2nd half.

The Prime Harden is already gone. Gone are the days where he is scoring 25-30 points back when he is in Houston. Gone are the days where he is the main scorer of the team. I don't know if its the injury that hinders him or something that we don't know. Its only Game 1 and I think Sixers will make some adjustments into it and will play better without Embiid in Game 2. Good thing though is he "could" comeback in Games 3 & 4 and I hope he really will come back or they might be swept this time.

I hope they'll sweep this Memphis team. KIDDING!
They might actually do that. As I have said, their experience will prevail especially once they get used to Morant's game. Klay Thompson also had an average game but still managed to sink that three. What more if he'll have a good game?

Harden always have a moment like this even before he is on Rockets and Thunders. He is prone for inconsistency especially he didn't get what he wants from his team mate. Actually Embiid is the only true carry of 76ers even before they acquire Harden to help him. Heat will get this first 2 games for sure since Embiid will not gonna play on this besides this is Heat home so it's still ok for 76ers to give this game then comeback on the remaining games with Embiid on there home.

But that will be a huge risk for Joel to played if he is not 100%? he is riskier to get injured and it might have a devastating effect on his career?

As for Harden, we've seen him performing his prime with the Houston but he seems to don't have that killer mentality. And I still remember what Kobe said before, that kind of game play will not bring championship and still holds true.

The Heat - Sixers game is about to start now. And I think that Heat are very close to getting a win here already now. Because we won't be watching Joel Embiid playing for Sixers tonight. And this would weaken their offense a lot. Heat are one of the best teams when it comes to taking advantage of this kind of situations. And they would do so here I assume. It is important for both teams to win the first game I think because it can help them capture a mental advantage against their opponent directly.

The 76ers actually did a pretty good job in the first half of the game, but they got tired out at the end of the day, the Heat's roster has really got a huge a depth, and with guys like Herro coming of the bench to give huge value, and a fit Duncan Robinson didn't even play in the game yet, shows how much we would have been demanding of the 76ers to get a positive result, more so without Embiid.

The only chance now to get really good odds for moneyline is for Sixers to take the lead early. - 7.5 handicap at 1.9 looks fine too but this game could be closer than what most expected.

The odds would probably have been better at the halftime with Heat trailing by a point.

Less than an hour away from the start of the Heat - Sixers series. The injury of Embiid really messed the lines for the Heat hehe. But my eyes back then are all Giannis, I want to see him grow as not just a wrecking machine but also a passer which we are witnessing now.

Honestly, Giannis is not even in his usual form. He attempted 25 shots but only 9 field goals were made. On top of that, he only tried 2 attempts at the 3-point area meaning even in his usual comfort zone which is inside the paint, he struggles that night but still successfully always broke Celtic's defense.

That's why he shifts gears and while finding his rhythm in nailing shots, he's been doing some nice assists at the same time which is not his usual. If Giannis will specialized and improve at those as he progressed, he will become an enhanced monster that almost can do everything even outside his usual gameplay.

Thanks also for his teammates' contribution that's why they won.

A big threat to any team and a big asset for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Celtics have really a bad night knowing they really have a lot of miss shots they are really struggling offensively and can't able to adjust when 3 point shooters hit their shoots over again. I'm impress what Grayson Allen did on this game since he really nailed in 3 shaded area also their line up really make the life of Celtics very hard. I'm excited to know what will be the adjustment made by Celtics for game 2 knowing that Bucks still not complete at that match up.

Warriors are not happy with Green's ejection, for me, it doesn't look like an F2 or even a flagrant foul. We know Draymond's reputation but that was a soft foul based on my evaluation, but the refs see otherwise, so this conspiracy theory will come out now again.  Sad

Anyway, Warriors still win, and that's what matters.
I hope they'll sweep this Memphis team. KIDDING!
F1 was the suggestion of commentators and they think that's the best they could give but I was shocked it went further to F2, I guess the crowd also helped by chanting to throw him out.  Grin I agree with the call though as I watched it replayed over and over, F1 for the hit in the face and another 1 to grabbing the jersey which is intentional and could lead to harm to other players. But it's Draymond, I think he can handle those types of decisions with no hard feelings. He is used to it and even went out teasing the crowd to hate him more.  Cheesy

The Bucks played great, the plan was successful to use Giannis and absorb all the defenders to leave an open shooter and Grayson Allen mostly took the credit. 24/13/12 for Giannis. Greatness.

But the referee need to do a better job, not really sure but it seems they wanted the Memphis to win the first game, hehehe. Was able to capture the games late in the 2nd quarter and was not aware that Green though was ejected, but they still manage to win, thanks to Poole's performance.

Never expect that Giannis will have this kind of game. But I do agree that he absorb all the defenders that the Celtics throw on him and they are not successful.

Bucks are really unstoppable and they proved this once again by destroying Celtics by more than a ten-point gap. I feel like Bucks aren't going to have a really hard time winning this series. Maybe they would tolerate Celtics' winning one time at least but no more than that. Bucks would win the series 4-0 or 4-1. They are one of the biggest candidates to become the champions this season too. In case they qualify for next round, their next opponent is going to be Heat or 76ers. I think that Bucks can become the champions of their conference in the worst case.

They will not if there's no adjustment that being done from the Celtics, I mean if they will continue to give Giannis the kind of intensity

and let Holiday be more comfortable taking those long shots. Celtics need to find some sort of remedy to avoid being swept and continue

their run in chasing this years finals appearance. Still early to conclude if how long these series will last, but it's better to see more actions

from both sides, I would prefer to see a do-or-die game 7 if it's possible for Celtics. Wink

They might double Giannis but Bucks have another 2 big men in the court who can find a mismatch. This kind of lineup is used by the Bucks against the Suns in the last NBA Finals if I am not mistaken, and they are now successfully using it on the Celtics. Looks like not having Middleton is quite a blessing is disguise for them to figure out how to dominate their opponents.
Middleton had been inconsistent for most of his games. I don't really like the way he plays now but he is needed for spacing the floor being a threat at every angle, mid-range or long ones. I think Jrue Holiday had always been a big factor for rather than him. That first quarter bombardment of 3 point shots gave them a good head start and it helped him to create hesitation moves to attack the paint.
But my eyes back then are all Giannis, I want to see him grow as not just a wrecking machine but also a passer which we are witnessing now.
kickout pass

We have all the matchups in hand right now. Heat - 76ers would be a really tough one and I think that it can end after seven games are played. And I think 76ers would win the series. Bucks are a very strong opponent for Celtics and I don't think that Celtics can get past them. This series can end by a 4-1 victory for Bucks I think. And Suns can get past Mavericks by the same result also. Grizzlies - Warriors might be a little more competitive I think and Warriors would be the winner by 4-2.

By reading those replies before you seem that 76ers will miss Embiid due to an injury.

I like to see series to push to game 7 but with the aggressiveness of Miami, it won't be easy for 76ers to win a game without Embiid
inside, small lineup but very fast and aggressive Heat will try beating them in every game.

We will see Butler against Harden showtime. These two stars will lead their respective team and will carry more with their offensive
attacks.

I knew that actually but he wasn't going to be out during the whole series in the end. And we don't know whether 76ers will lose the games that Embiid doesn't play in. In the end, they will still have Harden beside themselves. If he takes a big responsibility, then it would be very useful for the team. When Embiid recovers, they will play stronger and their chance for winning the title will be higher.

If Boston defends as well as before, if Tatum starts to play more effectively, Boston will win games too, but as such, Milwaukee looks unstoppable. And that's how they play without Middleton.
Next to Tatum, they need another good scorer. Both Smart and Brown weren't good enough in this match. They need to prepare better for the second match, especially mentally. Play-off series go by very quickly. Once you've seen it, you've been eliminated.

Bucks is so unstoppable in 3 point area or we can say on overall aspects they really dominate Celtics this time so I guess this will be tough road for celtics knowing Bucks don't have middleton on the line up and how much more if he is there for sure this one will be a huge problem to them.
They have a low percentage in game 1, Jalen Brown which was a big contributor of the team was very much limited in game 1, that is because of the good defense by the Bucks.. Of course, the Bucks will continue the same strategy, Celtics just need to improve their outside shooting.
Yes. I never saw the Bucks played this hard against the Bulls series but now they shifted to a defensive team and it's way better. Boston Celtics will be in big trouble if they will not find any answer for their attacks.
Despite that, I saw players in their team stepping up their game. Horford specifically did a pretty well job managing Giannis to avoid scoring at the paint, but the reaction from his team mates should be fast whenever he will be forced to pass the ball. The three point line were left wide open because of the penetration. I say let Horford handle him one on one and if ever Giannis scores, just live with it and get it back on the offensive end.

Giannis efficiency dropped actually but it makes his teammates better because he always do a kickout pass everytime the double is coming. They need to keep Giannis out in the paint, otherwise, it's an easy shot and worst if they will give him a foul counted shot.

Warriors and Bucks had a good start to their series in the conference semi finals. Warriors still had a really tough game against Grizzlies as you can understand from the final score also. Grizzlies resisted them really well until the last moments of the game and they lost by only one point. I think that this was a sign for them about them not to give up on this series early. I will be expecting the same level of competition in the other games too. But Bucks didn't have that much difficulty in beating Celtics. I wonder if Celtics will be able fight back well against them.
