Well I think the product of the sixers loss is mainly attributed to embid going down.  That completely changes the game both on defense and offense.  Bam doesn't completely go off if embid is in there.  And conversely embid would draw a ton of fouls against the heat.  More points and more possible bench time for some heat starters.  Regardless I agree with your assesment of Miami, they look real good as a team.

It looks like coach Spo understands the weaknesses of the 76ers, given that the Heat was able to successfully dominate the paint during the first game of the series. By the way, there is still no specific date for Embiid's return, although Doc Rivers said that Embiid is already feeling better. So I expect he might be able to play in either game 3 or 4, and he most likely will be allowed to play only in a protective mask.
There's no surprise about that because without Embiid, the Sixers will surely fall without their big man who's the alpha of their team. Who will play at the center effectively and at the same time brings a competitive offense without him.

Embiid is already ruled out for the first 2 games of the series and yes there is still no timetable for his return but the Sixers are hoping that he could play again on the game 3.

If he can comeback in game 3 and they will play at home, Sixers will have a better chance of winning that game.

Currently, the chance of beating the Heat is slim coach Spo knows that Bam will be a big difference without Embiid plus that monstrous
shooting game of Herro and the hassle from PJ Tucker. That's all counts to win a game.

Time for Doc Rivers to adjust and find his winning combination while Embiid is still out. They need to work together
to stay close to this series.

Bam really took advantage of what the Sixers gave to him, scoring points and grabbing a lot of rebounds. And it was obvious that the Sixers are going to struggle in this series although there some glimpse of the prime Harden, but it was not enough. Harris and Maxey needs to step us as well if they want to win this series. The Heat though are very much confident, they still have Duncan Robinson, another prolific scorer who hasn't had a good performance in this playoff. If by chance he exploded in the next couple of games, it might be game over for the Sixers.

^Now here comes a big obstacle for the Warriors. Gary Payton II is injured.
Ja Morant scored 34 points in Game 1 thanks to GP2's defensive plays. Now, he made 47 points without him. Time for Wiggins to step up, he is one of the elite defenders of the league and was even crowned as an All-Star first five. Somehow, he needs to show that and stop Morant from being an offensive machine.
Wiggins did well today at protecting the board but he might be switched to protecting the outside and let Draymond take over with the paint.

GP2's presence in the court is surely a good additional to the team because of his defensive plays but now that he is injured, I don't doubt that Ja Morant will repeatedly slam inside the paint. The Warriors are undoubtedly lethal in terms of offense but in terms of defense capabilities, they are now vulnerable inside that's why Green played center on the 2nd game.

It was mostly Wiggins who switch and try to defend Ja Morant but obviously it is not that effective as he is beating him by a step. So yeah, it's very unfortunate that Payton Jr will not be sidelined in this series. But I still don't think it will be enough for the Memphis though. The game is now switching to Warriors backyard which usually they won by a good margin because their big 3 are playing very well at home.

Ja was simply amazing in this game, for sure he doesn't want his team to be down 0-2 and going on the road with that huge deficit. Draymond is also out in the first half as he need stitches onto his face and then GP injuries that will surely affect the defensive rotation of the Warriors. And then coupled with Klay having a bad shooting night. So it's 1-1 now and this series just get more interesting.

It looks like that Boston Celtics aren't going to give up against Milwaukee Bucks easily. They won the second match last night and made the score of the series 1-1. I'm still going to be favouring Milwaukee Bucks to beat their opponent in this series. The Giannis factor is of big importance for them. He has carried his team superbly so far. And unless he is injured, they would go on strongly. But Boston Celtics can at least compete well with them here.

Zion Williamson came out today and said he was cleared to play and could have suited up in the Pelicans last game. He said his plan was to wait until game 7 to return so he could help them get to the next round and surprise everyone. Seems like a pretty juvenile plan that didn’t work out for him. Not to mention his teammates have to be pissed off that he could have helped them in game 6, but wanted to come back in dramatic fashion to be the hero that got them to the next round. Hopefully he can stay healthy this off-season so we can see him play again. He was exciting to watch, but I don’t think his career will be a long one.

Poll Question:   Miami Heat vs. Philadelphia 76ers
Miami Heat - 5 (62.5%)
Philadelphia 76ers - 3 (37.5%)
Total Voters: 8

Changing poll to other match-ups.

Phoenix or Dallas?

It looks like both Boston - Milwaukee and Memphis - Golden State series will be long as expected. We can clearly see Tatum and Morant effect for winning teams.
Bucks and Warriors stole one game in away but they have to defend their home court advantage now for two games.

It is a really good question. Suns started the series 1-0 by winning the first game 121-114. But Doncic was the most impressive player to me in that game as he got 45 points. And he was very close to making a triple-double too. I hope this matchup wouldn't end very quickly. Mavericks should be able to win at least two times in the series. The first game must have proved that the series would continue competitively. But at the end, I think Suns would be the winner of the series by 4-2 or 4-3.

Celtics and Grizzlies both did an impressive job by beating Bucks and Warriors last night. Both series are 1-1 now. And I'm really sad about not being able to watch the Grizzlies - Warriors match. I was able to watch the recap at least and I loved the competition level in that. Morant must have been the MVP of the game for sure. Such performance should be appreciated by everyone for sure. He is a very special and important player for Grizzlies now. And if they reach next stage, he will have a big contribution in that.

He already won the MIP (most improved player).... maybe there's also a chance to win an MVP. However, this is the playoffs, his regular season stats is not as impressive as what Luka, Jokic, Embiid, and Giannis have showed, so his best chance to win an MVP is to be in the NBA Finals.

I think I gave both the Golden State Warriors and the Milwaukee Bucks a little too much credit to start both of these series as I thought both would end up running these series pretty easily. Ja Morant certainly had something else to say about that. That guy reminds me of Derrick Rose in his prime, and as a Chicago Bulls fan that makes me pretty sad lol.
He was pretty solid in the last 2 games, he carried the team to a win. But let's see if they can continue his aggressive play and consistency as the series is going on. This series is a great series, Warriors are tested here, but what's important is they got a win on the road.

What an unbelievable night! Grizzlies managed to beat Warriors 106-101 and the series is tied 1-1 now. But the most attention getting part was that Ja Morant scored 47 points in this game. And he wasn't nearly making do with this too as he would have made a triple-double also (8 reb, 8 ast). I was very impressed by his incredible performance and he had the biggest role in this victory of course. Curry was able to answer him by only 27 points which was not very impressive after seeing that. It looks like this series is going to continue very interestingly.

Both Boston Celtics and Memphis Grizzlies won, leveling the series. Both series are 1-1 now. Ja Morant played amazing. He carried his team especially in the last quarter. I was expecting a more comfortable Memphis win if Dillon Brooks hadn't been kicked out at the start of the game. However, it was like in the first game and the team of the player who was excluded with flagrant 2 won. Interesting data. This series will be very long.
Dillon Brooks brooks act is not anymore acceptable, though he doesn't have any history of being a dirty player like Draymond Green but it's very clear that he wants to injured a player. You believe that Memphis would play better with Dillion Brooks, I also believe that Warriors will play better if GPII was not injured.

Honestly, I would not be surprised if Dillion Brooks will be suspended at least one game.

I think there are some questionable foul in game 2.

That foul of Green is not a foul, it's very obvious, so I think the refs just want the Memphis to win game 2 as they don't want to end the series with a 4-0. As you can see, the Warriors are still competing well even on the road, and Ja Morant talking trash to Curry, he just wake the beast.

Ja Morant possesses the worm moves with dribbling skills which hard for them to stop him unless they want to hurt him in a physical way. Looks like they gonna be needing a double team to defense to stop him in game 4 or else the Memphis Grizzlies will lead the series and they might not get any win after that.

As for the Boston last night, they already find the right way to stop Giannis and take advantage of the situation, that's why they easily outrun them in the first half which was their main goal and play safely in the second half later.

Maybe you mean for game 3 since there's only 2 games so far for this matchup. Ja Morant is so good and he is very hard to guard. GSW can answer this kind of agression if Klay thompson is doing well in the game. Only SC and Poole is contributing consistently on todays game. I agree with you that double is necessary and I believe they will do it since he is the only scorer on Grizzlies.

Game 4? nope, next game is game 3, and I think warriors will take care of the business, they are at home and they are good in protecting their home.
That ejection of Brooks I think was good enough for the Warriors to win, but Morant gets into beast mode and they beat the Warriors.

I see this series will end before game 7, in favor of the warriors.

Great strategy, they adjusted very well and they improve their shooting as well.

Congrats to them for at least winning 1 game at home, now, they need to get at least 1 win on the road to even the series.
