Interesting to learn that Klay Thompson told Stephen Curry not to interfere in his contract negotiations. He was worried that the Warriors would keep him and meet his salary demands just to keep Steph happy and he wanted to stay on his merit alone. Unfortunately he was never the same after his ACL injury, and sadly just didn’t deserve the pay he wanted.
And I think there's no reason for him to play with the Warriors when the fans are just criticizing him. I mean, he doesn't feel the Warriors his home anymore, after what he had done to give the Warriors a championship he was disrespected because in some games he was bench, so it's really a problem if he will stay just for the salary but deep inside he is not happy anymore.

Klay Thompson went to the Dallas Mavericks for 3 years and $50 million.

Very good team for Klay Thompson, everyone thought that he will sign with the Lakers, but I guess he wanted to rub it in with the Warriors as he is going to the Western conference champion. But we will still see at how Klay will fit and how is his shooting.

Yes would able to agree that this is really the best team that Klay to land since he's new team is a championship contender and became more stronger for his addition. Its just sad to see that their era on GSW is already done. This incident break the hear of GSW fans. But that's how the business goes and a better sweet incident on Klay's career. I really thought that he would retire as a Warrior since he always show his loyalty to the team. But unexpected things happen and his performance decline then the management put him on bench which Thompson didn't like to happen. Now to bad for Warriors since its like they are rebuilding again so I guess this would be a hard season for them to start on.

Klay would have been re-signed if he had a good performance last season, but he was scoreless in a crucial game which was his last game with the Warriors, so you can't blame the management for letting him go. I understand the hype with the news that he is now with Dallas, but I hope he will not perform the same way he did with the Warriors last season. Klay was never the same after his injury, and now he will need to continue proving that he still has it. This is also a big gamble for Dallas.

Actually Warriors offer a contract to Klay they want him to re-signed and continue to play with Warriors. But Klay didn't like the idea and want to see his value to them. What Klay didn't like is that Warriors is putting him on bench and plan to reduce his role in next season that's Klay feel disrespected to that and decide to go to other team.

Its sad to see this coming since I really though that he could ever resign as a Warrior since we see him good their chemistry together with Steph and Green. But it sad that it end up like this and now Klay is officially of and wearing Dallas uniform in next season. Yeah we are there that he didn't perform so well last season but players are experiencing a dry season on his career so I guess that's what happen to him.

But still its fine we could able to see him rolling good with his new team since he would be a perfect fit on the team and for sure that they can use him to help Dallas to try again their luck to snatch a championship this season.

Kyle "Slow mo" Anderson to the Warriors and it also been reported that they are in deep talks with the Sixers to acquire Buddy Hield, one of the best 3 points shooter we have in the NBA, and also with Lauri Markkanen.

Anderson may be slow, but he's a very smart player. He doesn't have the athleticism of others, but he can defend, pass, and make better decisions on the court. No wonder he was signed. I'm really looking forward to the Warriors signing a dominant center. Getting Markkanen would be a perfect move, and I wouldn't mind if they couldn't get Hield. I think that might be too much to ask, but it would be amazing.

So they are aggressive right now to fill in the void that was left by Klay Thompson and maybe more. Good for a role player like Anderson, he did good last season with the Wolves but probably if Looney is going to be traded then one role of Anderson is for the pick and roll on Curry which Looney has perfected already and help them bring rings as well during his Warrior tenure.
The warriors are a championship team, so they'll certainly find a way to improve their line up to be back in the playoffs and the championship again. They should keep acquiring young players, just imagine if they could acquire Markkanen, that would be a huge threat in the 3 point area and the Warriors will be more flexible.

While I do find it very sad to see Klay Thompson leaving Warriors, it also has to be considered that we are talking about Klay Thompson going to a team where he can fit like a glove. One thing that they will talk a lot about is that Kyrie is there, and Klay vs Kyrie played against each other on their Warriors vs Cavs finals series multiple times, and did manage to win over each other as well.

Same here, it's really sad to see him leave and go to another Western Conference team. Klay held several records as a Warrior so it's really hard to see him donning a different jersey next season without his Splash brother Steph Curry.

I think it would be quite fair to say that Klay would fit that Dallas team perfectly, he is a great defender and they do need a defender since we have seen how terrible Doncic is on defense, and he is a spot up shooter which would give the team a player to pass out when they drive inside as well. I think he will play better here, at least compared to last season, because he will be a better fit.

It's really hard to say though how he will fit, he should be more of a scorer than a defender in Dallas for sure. So yes, a spot up shooter that they can rely during crucial plays that they need to score specially 3 points because that's what Klay is known for.

We are still not sure if Klay Thompson will fit in the Dallas, like the chemistry combination of Kyrie Irving and Luka Dončić.
I am also curious if Klay Thompson will be back in his play just like how he played during their multiple championship rings during his time in Golden State Warriors.

I’m a bit surprised that nobody seems to want Zach LaVine. He was such an up and coming star who is considered by some to be the best dunker in NBA history, but teams are not interested in trading for him. I wonder if they think his skills have fallen off or if they just didn’t like the way he tried to get himself out of Chicago, but with him and DeRozan both wanting to get to the Lakers you have to wonder why it isn’t happening.

Edit: Kemba Walker has retired.
Nothing to be surprised with if you will ask me. There are 2 reasons that I believe are the reason why nobody wants him.

1. He's injury prone.
2. His salary is just too high for other teams knowing that he's not an all-star level of player anymore because of his injuries.

Imagine paying $43M next season to a player that's injury-prone? I don't think that any team wants a player like that. For them, it would just be a burden. Teams doesn't care about their past achievements which is a bit brutal if you would ask me. What they care is the title, and for them, LaVine isn't the player that they want. I believe that he will stay with the Bulls unless another team wants to take the risk with him. As for DeRozan, the Lakers want him like you said and Le-GM is willing to take pay cut just to take him. They only need the perfect trade package for it to happen. Smiley

As for Kemba, congratulations for his basketball career. His NBA career has been destroyed by injuries, but nevertheless, he made some achievements when he's in Charlotte.

Maybe because of the knee injury and surgery other teams are having trouble making decisions we all know that some players are expected to decline having surgeries, others recover but more chance they will not return into full form.

Yes, he is coming from a injury and see teams are very careful right now on how they are going to add on their team. And Zach Lavine can still command big money and so with that teams are not going to take a risk as he has been out for a long time.

Although it might be better if he would stay with the Bulls, him and DeRozan, but I guess they are not a perfect fit as what we might think of. Duo like Brown and Tatum, which co-exist for a long time and have brought them a ring.

Not sure Lakers have the pieces to get them.  I know with derozen I think the Lakers need to trade away a piece to be able to on board derozen.  I think he would play best next to Bron and he is reliable in terms of health.  Lavine doesn't do it for me, seems really inefficient at times and can lose focus.  Dear can play off lebron and AD, better fit if ypu ask me.

Unfortunately, in the NBA, it isn't uncommon for players to not be able to perform at the level they had before injuries. Especially in Klay's case, who has had one of the most frustrating injuries players can get. Anyway, let's see how his career with the Mavs turns out, although I have no idea what his role will be with the new team.

Klay Thompson went to the Dallas Mavericks for 3 years and $50 million.

Jason Tatum signed a contract with the Boston Celtics for 5 years, $319 million, the largest contract in NBA history.
Now NBA players are starting to earn much more money.
This record will be passed to someone else next year.

With them offering up TV rights to the highest bidder and TNT losing out, I expect their revenue will explode over the next 3 years. The supermax contracts that get signed in 2030 are going to be absolutely wild. I bet we see close to a billion dollar deal around that time. Maybe Luka or Wemby, or maybe someone we don’t even know yet.

Isaiah Hartenstein goes to the Oklahoma City Thunders.

Isaiah Hartenstein agrees to 3-year, $87 million deal with Oklahoma City Thunder: Reports

Main reason, as said is about New York Knicks inability to pay him what he should receive from them as per Shams Charania.
If not only because of Robinson getting injured, Hartenstein will not get his spotlight during the playoffs that's why he got this huge contract - but with another team though. It's a bit frustrated if you're a Knicks fan that your main defender during the playoffs, and the one that's hustling for rebounds every single game will just be given to another team just because your team doesn't have the cap space to pay him.

Now who will be relying on in terms of inside defense? Mitchell Robinson? Right now, they would either get a big that's a free agent right now and pay at least the minimum, or they will rely mostly on small ball team with Bridges or Randle most probably at Center position which would I consider as ineffective for them. As for the Thunder, I wonder if Holmgren will stay at the Center position, or he will be moving to Power Forward while Hartenstein will be their starting Center.

Still congratulations to Hartenstein for getting that huge contract. The Knicks really gave him a spotlight during the playoffs, and he played well during that time.

Well, shows their priorities.
They chose to give a 15ppg/career a max contract (OG) so obviously there is not too much cap space left to pay their important guys.
I think Hartenstein really deserves this contract and I honestly believe this is just the beginning for him. He improves year after year with his hustle on defense and his commitment.

Good to see him on a young and uprising team like the Thunder now, they clearly saw his value, unlike the Knicks.

Make sense for the Boston Celtics to sign him up for 5 years with the biggest contract yet. And he deserves it as he is now coming to his prime years and they just got their first ring and Boston are looking to do it again with the whole team almost intact and their morale are very high with that big win.
