Goran Dragic and Seth Curry are coming back from injuries to play in todays Nets game against the Miami Heat. Miami has lost 3 straight and their frustration has been showing lately. Boiling over with Butler and Haslem going at each other on the sidelines during a game. They have have the better record but I think I’d take the Nets today. They’re playing hot and Miami is a mess. Still no Ben Simmons in the lineup but with the season winding down I think he needs to start making appearances on the court to get ready for the playoffs.
I wish he do. The Brooklyn Nets are in bad shape now and they need to protect that 8th rank so that a 1 game win is all they need to win to enter that playoffs. If they lose now, Hornets and Hawks are at their tail to try and obtain that spot and secure it for a higher chance to be in the playoffs.
Kyrie will be there but this is the top seed of the East which is undoubtedly balanced with their roster. They may have some differences in the sidelines and a bad losing streak considering how they lose against a star-less Warriors but they are still a strong opponent which should not be taken lightly.
Seth will play an important role on the defensive end.

Booker was obviously their main scorer even before CP3 joined the team but let's not forget their position in the league back then. They were fighting for playoff spot which is completely diffefent now.

Paul changes the team from a playoff potential team to a championship potential team.

This season, I see that their chance to be back in the finals again are huge, not underestimating the other teams like the GSW, Nuggets and Dallas, but as a team, they are so consistent and they have the best chemistry IMO.

I agree.  The team that would give them the most fits might be Memphis with their good guard play and front court that can guard the phoenix front court.  That's the series I'm hoping for in the western conf finals.  How fun would that be to watch.  Cp3 is key to them making another run.

There are three teams that have qualified for the playoffs already now. These teams are: Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies and Miami Heat. Grizzlies are doing an amazing job even in the absence of their most valuable player Ja Morant. This shows how great they are when it comes to the team performance. Suns are already the best team of the regular season statistically. They are surely one of the biggest candidates to win the title. And the other team I mentioned, Miami Heat are doing a superb job as well. They didn't have a this much good season for many years. But now, they are leading the Eastern Conference.

.... Memphis Grizzlies are the favourite team to win this game but it is by a small margin. I think that Milwaukee Bucks are going to be the winner here. They already played against each other before and Milwaukee Bucks won that. This can repeat itself.
Grizzlies are formidable at home that's why they are still favored despite Ja Morant's absence. There's also a chance that Giannis could be back but he will probably play with restricted minutes. It's tough betting on this game right now. I'd rather bet live or just wait for the announcement of the line up.

It can be easy to predict who will win the match if one of the star players does not take the field. I don't think the Bucks will have much of a chance unless Giannis plays, the Memphis Grizzlies could win this game.
Ja Morant is having an incredible season and will ensure his team wins this game as well, but that might change if Giannis can play too Smiley

The Bucks win their last game without Giannis, same with the Memphis Grizzlies without Ja Morant. So it's hard to predict this games because other players are stepping up in absence of their superstar.

So we will have to see if both stars are going to play and if they play, how long the coach as going to insert them in the game. Even though they have clinch a playoff spot, this games are still very important because you want to continue winning and have a good momentum and secured your spot.

Memphis Grizzlies are going to be playing a home game against Milwaukee Bucks tonight. And Memphis Grizzlies have already guaranteed qualifying for the 1/8-finals in the playoffs. Milwaukee Bucks are close to do so too. Memphis Grizzlies are the favourite team to win this game but it is by a small margin. I think that Milwaukee Bucks are going to be the winner here. They already played against each other before and Milwaukee Bucks won that. This can repeat itself. These teams both have a big potential in the playoffs.

Its' going to be a close game as both of them are high caliber team. Both have shown the they can win games without their star player. Maybe one advantage of Memphis is that they are comfortable playing at their home court. The Bucks doesn't have a good record playing in the road, that's why they are favored to win in this game. But if Bucks can stay within range entering the 4th quarter, this will be very another very close and exciting game.

If Davis will make it in the first week of next month, then he will have a chance to help the team win in the play-in tournament.

Their chances will somehow increase if Davis will indeed return in the play-in schedule and that's good for them as they they need to win two consecutive games if they will be locked in the 10th spot. However, Frank Vogel's decision making is also a factor in their chances to win because he likes playing small. Dwight Howard's presence in the center will help them as he can really handle the team's defense while AD and LBJ will go offensive. That's if Vogel will still give Howard the minutes he need.

Question is, how big he could contribute to the team.

We've seen Draymond Green after a long rest due to injury, in his return he wasn't contributing as his normal contribution, so what I'm saying is that Davis will have to readjust again to get back on his game, and every game may cause the Lakers an L .

You might be missing something, mate. Try to make a recap and watch all games after Anthony Davis returns this season. He is putting up big numbers already even coming from an injury. There is no question how big he can contribute once he comes back but the question is, how long he can stay healthy after being injured. No problem with his stats and contribution, that's one thing for sure.

The comparison with hin and Draymond Green is not appropriate. They have different roles and Green is not putting the same numbers as Anthony Davis regardless if they are healthy or coming back from an injury.

Minnesota Timberwolves won 116-95 against the Dallas Mavericks. Luka Doncic scored the highest score in the match and almost made a triple double, he played with a very good performance. But that alone was not enough to win the game.
Again, we watched a good team game in Minnesota, 7 players scored over 10 points. The victory in the team does not depend only on one or two people, they can all play a good basketball together Smiley

I agree with you depending on who is playing I might take the pels in that too.  Back against the wall I'd hate to bet against lebron though, his best comes out in those games.  I think the question that really needs to be answered is will AD be playing or not.  That is huge.

They might play AD because it's an important game, if they'll lose, that would be too embossing for the team who started to look like a super team prior to the start of the season. Even with AD, I still feel backing the Pelicans because I believe that the struggle of the Lakers this season will not end right away.

You're right that this game against the Pelicans will be very important for the Lakers. However, there is no chance that Davis will play because he has not yet fully recovered from his injury. It is expected that he will be able to return only by the first week of April. So LeBron will have to try to win this game alone again.

There's still no assurance that Lebron can play on there Sunday match against Pelicans. Lakers show an impressive improvement without James basae on there previous match against strong opponent 76ers because Westbrook is finally awaken his inner beast skills. I assume they can beat Pelicans without James if they will maintain the same level of performance during 76ers match. I hope there coach will not force Lebron to play the game if he is still not ok to play because there playoffs spot will be useless if his injury will gonna worsen later on.

Lakers: Frank Vogel 'Hopeful' LeBron James Will Play on Sunday

Looks like he will be back because as Vogel said that this Sunday is an important game for them so they need him, but it is not yet confirmed. IMO, Frank Vogel should let LeBron to rest more so that he will be back at his A-game soon because there's a much more important than the Pelicans game as they will face the Mavs before the month ends. Let Howard, WB, and Melo handle the helm for the time being.

Pelicans, Lakers and Spurs are the ones who are fighting at the 9th and 10th spot. It would be very disappointing for the Lakers if they will be the ones who will be eliminated and will not enter the play-in tournament. I want Lakers though to enter at least the play-in Smiley. Maybe Spurs and Lakers Cheesy.

As of this stage, I would not be disappointed anymore because I witnessed how long they are struggling, if they can barely make it on the play-in, there's no chance for them to upset the upper team in the playoffs.

Let's look at their last 10 games. (Win-Loss)

Spurs 5-5
Pelicans 4-6
Lakers 3-7

Can you imagine that record of the Lakers?

Remember that San Antonio Spurs could overtake the Lakers if they won't be consistent, their record are very close now and Spurs are in a winning streak.

I also said to Davis back when he got his first injury that when he comes back, he will not be as efficient as he is but I was wrong and he put huge numbers and he is as efficient as he is though I still say that he is really fragile and injury prone. Maybe Green can still feel his injury until now and I don't think that he needs to put huge numbers in his name but just his mere presence in the court is enough to boost the morale of the team.

Pelicans, Lakers and Spurs are the ones who are fighting at the 9th and 10th spot. Purely depends on the player but usually most players suffers during the return from a long injury rest.
Plus, Davis will be limited on his playing time. So, I guess he won't make enough impact to help his team especially when he cannot be consistent offensively.
Spurs has indeed a chance to take over the Lakers on the 10 spot  since their remaining schedule is up against not so strong teams compared to the Lakers.

How exciting it would be, If the Lakers would not make it, the Spurs would be a dangerous opponent to the upper team because they have a very good coach who is get used to the playoffs already and has won a lot of games than losing.

you are right, we can check the remaining games of the LA Lakers, https://www.espn.ph/nba/team/schedule/_/name/lal/los-angeles-lakers

only one team that are not a playoff team, and that is the OKC, the rest might go in the playoffs and some teams are already guaranteed a spot.

That was because of CP's mental attitude, after they lose to the NBA finals, he said he will get back to work. You see? This guy is really born a winner, he wants to pursue his big goal to make the team better and achieve the ultimate success, and in this case, should be the ring.

Remember when CP3 joined other teams and compared him to another superstar.

Cp3 joined Harden Rockets and OKC, he help to make the team improve, especially the Rockets because they reach the Western Conference finals with CP3 of course, if he wasn't injured during that hime, they had a decen chance of beating the Warriors.

It's just a bad luck for him that he doesn't have any experience yet of a championship. I like him to take a chance last Finals but I'm rooting for Milwaukee Bucks that time because I have a bet on it. They are now currently sitting pretty at the standing and hope that this time, he will now finally have a championship moment.

Don't want to see him end up without a championship like other superstars in the league. He truly deserves one. But seeing how competitive teams today, lots of strong teams are deserving to win the chip this year.

We don't know yet, maybe this season is going to be for him and yea I'd also love that, I also don't want him to retire without getting a ring. They also deserve it, the man has been preparing and helping his team to win every games and it's almost impossible that we cannot see his doings. As for this year, their chances are high but yes we cannot also take the other teams away because they're also very competitive.

This season is really interesting, lots of competitive teams in East and West and lots of young guys stepping up their game.

Even though the Lakers are playing like this right now, lets not forget that they still have Davis that can play maybe in the playoffs ............
I will stop you there. My worry now is what if they cannot make it to the playoffs?

For sure with their ranking, they might be in the play-in tournament, but what if they'll fall again?
I mean, if they want to be in the playoffs, maybe they should start winning now consistently.
The last games were a bit disappointment as Frank Vogel said but with  Lebron and Davis around, he still hopes for progress within the last month of the competition. The probability for Los Angeles Lakers to make it to playoffs is still 50-50 and this means that the team should exert more efforts to win the next games even pulling a miracle out from a single hat.

Really necessary if they don't want to get embarrassed, at least reaching the playoffs would ease the pain. There's still no timetable of Davis's return, for sure they'll improve a bit with Davis but if no Davis in the play-in, I have a feeling we will see the unexpected.

All we can read are just speculation for now - https://hoopshype.com/storyline/anthony-davis-injury/

In the update from the link, it says he could be back by the first week of April.
I don't know, I think I would not keep my hope so high because I know how fragile Davis is, and I'm afraid he won't be 100% if he would be forced to play.

If that is true, then it's good for the Lakers.
For those who does not know when the play-in will start, here's a good read for you.
