I thought Jordan Poole can manage ro compensate Curry and Klay absence

Well, that was certainly not the right thought.  Curry and Klay are the Warriors, without the two of them they aren't even a playoff team.  Sure, Wiggins and Green might be able to carry them to a win here and there, but it's no secret that Curry carries the franchise and with Klay out there to give him spacing it's nearly impossible to defeat the Warriors on the offensive end of the floor.  Then you have Wiggins and Green anchoring the defense while Klay keeps the perimeter locked down...  That's why they're a championship team.  So no, Jordan Poole can't compensate for Curry and Klay being off the court and it really showed.

My plus 20.5 for GSW got eaten alive by the Grizzlies. I thought they can recover to the massive points advantage during the second half of the game. The game become completely even during 3rd to 4th quarter of the game which gives them no room forma recovery. This is my first time to lose on a GSW plus handicap bet. I thought Jordan Poole can manage ro compensate Curry and Klay absence since 20 points is already a huge margin since GSwpW bench is solid. My greediness betray me this time.

Many haven't saw it coming, including me. Who would've thought that Grizzlies can literally eat the Warriors alive especially when the both superstars from the respective teams aren't present during the game but still managed to leave the Warriors with a 28 points difference, from the 1st until 4th quarter they dominated and ate the Warriors.

Even though people do not look at OKC vs Portland game because both teams had a terrible season, I watched the highlights of it and I have to say that overtime and the "close game" was basically because both teams were bad.

I mean sure there are situations where we are seeing those type of games where both teams are bad, but this time it took the teams to overtime being that bad Cheesy. In any case, Cletics vs Raptors were the game to watch last night, and I am happy that I won that bet, lost the portland one but that is okay. Spurs was a correct call for me as well. Dejounte has been improving to an all-star for sure level and not replacement level.

The curse of being a first time all star
Oooh, for real? I know about the curse of the 1st pick, oh shit he is the first pick and then it's his first time as an All-Star. Double the curse.  Grin
He is known for his inconsistency and then he showed better at the first half of the season. I don't know what happened to him after that. Back to his normal inconsistency. His defensive skills is still intact, but the offense is gone.
This should be the prime of his career where he could offer more to contribute for the Warriors but it's like he is waiting for Steph to be back before he reloads the better side of him.
Suns is their next opponent, I doubt they can win that one. Expect a 4th losing streak.

This Memphis Grizzlies team has a high morale coming into the playoffs because on how good they are.
Currently sitting at the 2nd spot, the Grizzlies just made an upset by defeating the 3rd seeded Warriors which is I agree that they are struggling just after the All-Star Weekend. Now with regards to the playoffs, I want the TWolves to stay at the 7th spot though so that they are the ones that Memphis will face in the first round and I think it will be easy for them to defeat the TWolves.

Overall, Grizzlies are a great team this season but playoffs will be a bit different and knowing that most of the players in the team don't have that much experience in the playoffs I think it might affect their whole performance as a team.

Memphis remains a very good team even without Ja, and the record tells that.
Though that win is not gonna be considered an upset Thompson and Curry are out, but yeah they're struggling since the ASG, and Curry was struggling too before the injury.

On the other side, If TWloves remains in the 7th spot, there is no guarantee that they will remain in the 7th spot when playoffs comes. I assume you forgot the play-in tournament structure? 7 and 8 will play for the 7th spot in the playoffs, and the loser will play against the winner of the 9-10 for the 8th spot.
Twolves will play against the Clippers in the play-in If we assume their ranking remains until the end of the season.

Chicago doesn't look good to be honest, they are only 4-6 in the last 10 games, and are now already ranked at number 5. They could go down too if they keep losing their games,  and I'm sure Nets would take care of them if they will face.

They do not look good now but things could be different in the playoffs. It's hard to make an early judgment because in playoffs there are plenty of surprises like upsets do happen. I even think that the Lakers could give us a surprise, they are struggling now but who knows they could be the champion.. LOL... do you think it will happen too?
True, playoff games are different, however, Bulls is also not battle tested on playoff, DeRozan has the most experienced amongst them. So it they remained inconsistent now, they could be the same or worst in the playoff as the pressure is high. Unless DeRozan and Lavine elevated their games and proved that they are the best duo right now. Otherwise, if could be an early exit for them.

Btw he’s averaging 27.7 points with 5.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds. Those are very very solid numbers from a player in his weird situation.

That's his normal stats, that's why he is a superstar, but we are looking for his consistency in the game because they need that consistency in the play-in tournament to advance to the playoffs. Their ranking is not good as well, a supposed to be the number 1 team, now ranked number 9 and has to play the play-in tournament just to qualify the playoffs.

They are ranked number 9 now but they are still the favorite to win the ECF if I'm not mistaken.
Durant and Irving are going to be beast in the playoffs, plus, Simmons would be playing soon, it will only make the Nets a good team, so expect them to win.

Yeah I believe Vegas lists them overall as the second favorite team to win the championship, which is crazy considering their current seeding. What I’m really worried about is my Chicago Bulls facing them in the playoff game, which they’d surely lose. If this team can stay healthy it’s going to be a lot of fun to see how they end up.

If I were in your position I'd take the same bet and be angry about it.
That's +20.5 which is like a fair position to win but the Warriors can't find who will be their offensive man except for Poole. It should've been Wiggins but no, his stats are back to being inconsistent after the All Star.
Moody helped out but was not enough and they keep on letting their defense be broken.
I think what they are missing is someone who will move without the ball and the screen plays which I don't see anymore. Almost everything is an isolation play.

This is the exact thought when I place my bet during live match. I’m expecting Wiggins to do something since he and Jordan Poole left alone to lead his team mates to road for victory. I’m expecting atleast below 20 point lead is acceptable but Grizzlies is unstoppable during offense while GSW is lacking man power for offense the result is pretty one sided. They just up there game during 2nd half but still its not sufficient to close the lead since Grizzlies is just even out there score every quarter.

Let's see how they will play.

I have a feeling that this team will be a surprise in the West.
The way they are playing now, you can tell they have good chemistry and consistency, so a team that is underrated, would certainly give a big problem to the old and experienced teams.

The curse of being a first time all star, hehehe, seriously though, the Warriors have bee struggling even after the All-Star and then it was compounded when Steph got injured. And then Memphis really playing high caliber basketball with or without Ja Morant, they are a bit scary in the West and I think they will be a tough team to played on in the play-off. I skip betting on this game though.

The Toronto Raptors stop the Boston Celtics in the epic game tonight which was the best NBA game ever this season. PASCAL SIAKAM! 40 PTS was really helpful and his defensive play force the game to overtime which let them lead the game and win it on their homecourt. Though the Celtics have multiple opportunities to lead the game, their shots are missing, and cannot really get some offensive rebound to have a second chance finally they lose the game by 3 points.
I was surprised the Celtics could end up that close with the Raptors. They are resting their stars and they don't need to play that hard to avoid injuries.
Without Tatum and Brown, I thought it will be a blowout game but they did not let it happen. I bet their coach is proud of their bench now.
Whoever caught the high spread for the Celtics before the game is a winner now.

Hawks on the other hand is giving their all to get near the Hornets and the Nets. Just 1 more win away to tie with them after defeating the Pacers.

I am the only one who voted for the Spurs-Pelicans to take the last 2 slots in the play-in. I have a feeling that Lakers would continue to struggle and the Spurs will make a surprise by making it to the play-in tournament.

Last night, Pelicans defeated Lakers and took the advantage. Brandon Ingram is back and making a positive contribution. Pelicans play more like a team. Lakers are looking at LeBron James' hand. Westbrook doesn't always contribute well. Yesterday, Malik Monk scored a lot, but it wasn't enough. I don't know what San Antonio will do, but if Lakers say goodbye to play-in from here, it will be chaos. LeBron would not allow such a thing no matter what.

I hope you are right. I prefer to see the young Spurs over the aging Lakers team.

I could have voted for the Spurs to make it in the play-in tournament as well but I still doubted their consistency and they are running out of games. I also don't think they have a reliable player who can come up with big numbers in games that would really matter unlike Lakers who still have Lebron.

I agree that Irving didn't have any impressive statistics in this game. His shot accuracy percentage was too low which is very important for a shooting or point guard. On the other hand, this doesn't make him bad this season of course. Every player has a bad time from time to time in the regular season. I'm curious about his performance in the playoffs actually. I'm already considering Nets in the playoff stage as they have begun to play much better nowadays. But I have doubts about their chance to make it to top 6 though.
