The Nets getting clobbered by the Raptors right now. James Harden is once again looking terrible.
KD carrying the team right now and has taken the lead. The man is pretty reliable regardless of the changes in the rules unlike his other teammate.
Great to see Vanvleet still doing some good damage after his performance in their championship run. If only the Nets or Lakers had someone like him hehe.

...What's the real reason the Lakers are going through this!!?
I'm surprised that you are this surprised since it's easy to see even before the season started that they could struggle. Take a look at who they removed and recruited.

I've been thinking to myself and would like to hear from you guys!!

The Lakers have built an excellent team for this season, but unfortunately I realized that they are not having the expected result, very low performance, players ""injured"" among so many and other things.

What's the real reason the Lakers are going through this!!?
How can the team recover and improve his performance!!? I would like to know your opinion about this!
thanks!

The Nets getting clobbered by the Raptors right now. James Harden is once again looking terrible. Between the Nets and the Lakers losing games, and LeBron James sitting around tweeting about football instead of his team’s struggles is definitely not where I saw this season going. I can only hope we see a good matchup in the Finals and that these struggles for both teams are temporary.

Having Curry scoring that many points at all games would not be ideal anyway. I mean it is definitely something that I would guess they could do if they want to, but they need to keep the teams on their toes. That is why Klay was so important, if you have only Curry scoring then other teams would double team him, or try to focus their entire defense on him, which he has the talent to be still alright given the right situation but I believe that it would be hard.

With Klay on the floor, the spacing was so great that they usually passed to Klay whenever Curry was getting double teamed, or some other player, nowadays he played so well again that teams tried to defend him the most and nobody considered Poole as a threat, that is how they got him to score so much.

And then here's the Lakers superteam who are still struggling lol.

That's the problem, others are considering the Lakers as a superteam so they are expecting something different. I don't see how they become a superteam even prior to the start of the season and I mentioned it here. These guys are composed of mostly veterans. They are prone to struggling. But yes, these veterans should know how to step up. But still, too early to conclude they are a rubbish team with no chemistry. We are still in the early phase of the season even they are already behind other teams in terms of proper blending.
The question is how long they will struggle, people would always assume they are the best team because they have the best player in the NBA which is Lebron James, they called him the came for a reason. Davis and James won a championship together and now added Westbrook in the roster, that should make this team better, or maybe let's give them more time to figure out how to do it right and last option is to trade Westbrook whom I'm sure other teams would also be more interested on him.

For the topic here about MVP, I think it's too early to discuss. In most cases, weekly power rankings always changed. If we see someone who is able to maintain their stand at the weekly race until the All-Star break, then we can somehow predict who will be the possible MVP this season.
Yes it's too early but at least we already have an idea now who performs well and that gives some hint on who will win the MVP this season, I'm talking about being a gambler who is willing to put a bet on how would win.

For how long they will struggle, no one knows. It's people's problem now because they think the Lakers are the best team since they have Lebron James. They are not the best team in the West. I even think my favorite Dallas Mavericks, not biased here, can beat them in the series match even with their healthy lineup. It's been a long season already where the NBA enthusiast knows that LeBron doesn't have the ability now to carry a team so I don't know what's the catch that since Lakers have LeBron James, Lakers should always be on top.

About the MVP race, seriously the early games will give us a hint on who will become an MVP? From a gambler's perspective, it's better to check the monthly ladder compare to the weekly ladder. Gamblers won't get behind by not checking the MVP race rankings regularly.

Nets on the road against the Raptors. Toronto is a very tough team specially in their home court. Not sure though if this is Siakam comeback game? First time to see him play again.
I believe it's his first game of the season, and he is coming back but don't know if this would help the team or they'll have some problem with the chemistry since it's his first game.

https://nba.nbcsports.com/2021/11/06/pascal-siakam-to-return-to-raptors-lineup-sunday-against-nets/

Durant will really have to play solid offence against this team. I'm not discounting the fact that they can pull an upset win here today.
Siakam is good but not as special as Durant, anyone can guard him actually so I would not worry about that, instead, it's the Raptors should be worried on how they'll at least limit Durant who plays really well this season.

But I guess the big question is who amongst top contenders are going to bring their teams in the Finals this year. Individual accolades is nothing if they can't even win a championship for this year.

It's impossible to predict for now. There are lots of factors to be considered and one of them is injuries. Even those top contenders are playing well today, we aren't sure if at the end of the season until playoffs to Finals, we will see them.

I hate to see injuries during playoffs. It's killing the competition and more people are doubt once the unexpected team reached the Finals.

2021-22 NBA Most Valuable Player Award Odds
Player   Odds
Stephen Curry   +500
Giannis Antetokounmpo   +650
Kevin Durant   +650
Luka Doncic   +650
Joel Embiid   +1200
But for the last 3 games Steph's stats is going down. It's like he is giving chance for the young players to show their skills.
This could be a back to back MVP for Giannis if the consistency will remain. His advantage will be the rebounding capability and blocks per game.
Although, Steph had been upgrading his defense too.
Anyone saw that 2 blocks in 1 game? That was amazing to see for someone who was underrated when it comes to defense.

Yes, Curry is taking the back seat in GSW's two games and let Poole do the scoring. But it doesn't matter, I mean he can explode in a game and score 50 points or more, or have a scoring spree in a month just like last year.

But I guess the big question is who amongst top contenders are going to bring their teams in the Finals this year. Individual accolades is nothing if they can't even win a championship for this year.

The top 3 in the list already won their MVP and also won a championship as well, they wouldn't mind the MVP award enough but to take this team to the NBA Finals since it's the ultimate success every team or player wishes to achieve. I'm not sure if the Bucks would again reach the NBA finals this season but the GSW are just playing amazing basketball right now and it's expected that they'll become better once Thompson comes back.

Curry always leads the team so as long as they are healthy, it should not be a problem getting in the playoff and probably getting into the NBA Finals as well now that the number 1 favorite in the West which is the LA Lakers are having a big problem with chemistry.

I don't know what happened to AD but he didn't come back after he exited in the first half. Coach Vogel says he had stomach illness.
I can sense a trouble in LA, things are so messed up. I'm not gonna be surprise there will be a lot changes happening soon lol.

Yeah, it looks like coach Vogel should make some changes because the Lakers can't do anything without Lebron. By the way, Russell Westbrook had another disgusting performance considering that he scored only 1 out of 13 and made six turnovers in this game.

That's Russell's game.  He needs to play 20-25 minutes off the bench and be a 6th man guy.  Put him in when you need a flurry of scoring.  I think he would thrive off the bench.  Either way stacking a bunch of "old guys" together has never worked in the NBA, I don't know why the Lakers think they could change that.  Wait until mid season once the injuries really start racking up.

One day he gets triple-double, the next day he'll play like he was lost nowhere. One simple reason to describe his presence with the team and that is the words "not fit". Yeah, that's what I believe because he didn't blend well when traded to Rockets, then Wizards, and now the LA Lakers which he has the worst performance among the teams he played.

The odds will change from time to time based on the performance of a player, and Curry made his team on the number 1 spot is also the reason why he is currently the favorite to win the regular-season MVP. I'm checking my bookie now and here's how it's ranked according to their betting odds.

Curry 5.00
Giannis 5.50
Durant 6.50

Edit: On the Mavs side: Luka! Not again!!!  Cheesy
He made it again, that step back 3 point shot looks effortless.

Yeah, but for those who have a -3.5 bet on the Mavs, he shouldn't take it and win. At least force OT and then win by 4 points.  Grin
Lol, you really think like a gambler, not on a sure win of the team, you wish that it will reach to OT so your bet has a chance to hit. Funny.

Actually, I can't help but watch that reply on how he was able to do it, I remember the last time he had a game-winner was in the past playoffs against the Clippers and I think it was his first time in the playoffs. As a top favorite to win an MVP award this season, I think he can still improve his game as his average now is lower compared to the last two seasons.

He is the odds favourite to win the regular finals for this year. Congrats as well to KP, seems to play very aggressive in this game. And this is his comeback game if I'm not mistaken, and should be playing limited minutes. But he was so hot in the early part of the 4th quarter.
